Rent them from a Blockbuster or buy the DVDs on eBay. Stop leeching off of the movie industry.
Why is it very rare to find Arabic movies translated into English (in a good way)?
I can find almost every movie ever produced in most countries online with english subs. From Thai movies to Japanese. Why don't we ever translate our movies and put them online?
Korea started a channel for arabs, in arabic. Why don't we do the same thing for others? It helps with culture exchange.
It is the lack to good organization!

What is the name of this Turkish movie or film?
I need to find this Turkish hot movie online, but I don't remember the Turkish or English title of it. I watched it a long time ago with Arabic subtitles. It was produced in the seventies, eighties, or early nineties maybe...The Arabic name of the movie was 'Ana Oheb' which means 'I love' in English. There're many hot erotic scenes in the movie, but the only thing I remember about it is that it tells the story of a nurse who went to work in a house by looking after a man! This man has a son with whom the nurse has an affair! I also remember that there was another hot woman in the movie. I'll appreciate it if you tell me the name and (if possible) write links for watching it online. Thanks a lot.
There is a Shetain in it. Get you self wife , instead.
Is it possible to learn a language by JUST listening the music and watching movies?
I've wanted to learn arabic and I've only listened to the Palestinian hip hip group Dam and watched documentaries. Will I be successful? So far I think I have, will it work?
I wish you luck if you're set on it. It's possible, but really difficult. It works out a little like Rosetta Stone. You're not going to be as good at grammar as maybe some other people, and I would suggest looking at some online sites that detail grammar to help you out a little on that.I'm taking formal classes through school and movies and songs always help me out, so it is likely you could learn by just listening and watching! You just have to pay really close attention. Afterall, that's how we all learned in the first place-- watching and listening?
How to write an English song while your mother tongue is Arabic ?
i find it so hard to write a song , i want to be a singer but in english not in arabic , what tips can you give me ? p.s : i play the guitar
In order to graduate to song writing, you need to have a better knowledge of the English language in general. I listened to your video on Youtube and you have great potential, but there is definitely room for improvement. It’s never easy learning something new, especially learning another language. Yes, it’s a challenging process, but with some advice and guidance you can be successful.
So here's my advice on some great ways to improve your English:MAKE TIME & MAKE AN EFFORT
Learning another language, like English, requires a great deal of time, effort, and dedication. The more time you can devote to learning, the quicker you will be able to grasp new concepts. If you can spare at least an hour a day, you will definitely see results by the end of a month…and within six months, you will be amazed!
BEGIN WITH THE BASICS
The best method is to begin with the basics: numbers, the alphabet, days of the week, and the basic vocabulary. Keep a notebook and write down what you learn, with the definition in your native language, so you’ll have a reference guide to help refresh your memory. Use the same or different notebook to keep a “vocab list” of words you would like/need to learn.
KEEP A DICTIONARY HANDY
Invest in a good hand-sized or pocket-sized dictionary. Carry it with you at all times. When you hear or see a word you do not understand, look it up. You will want to start with a bilingual dictionary for cross-reference. Further along, you will need a dictionary only in English in order to learn the meaning of the word and its context. Don’t use online translators for translating more than one word at a time, they are unreliable.
Surround yourself with materials in English. The fun part is that you get to choose materials that you like. Working with topics that hold your interest is motivating and makes learning enjoyable:
~Literature: Books, Magazines, or Newspapers- you can start by reading material you've already read in your own language. If it is literature you already know, it will be easier for you to understand and to make the vocabulary connection in English. Another option is to read English children’s literature- illustrations help with comprehension of what you are reading.
~Media: TV, Movies, and News- it is a great help to use subtitles. If you are watching media in your native language, use English subtitles. If you watch media in English, use subtitles of your native language. Using English children’s media is a good option here also because of the simplified language and structure of the narratives.
~Music: Songs and Karaoke- listening to music can be the funnest way to learn English. Find the lyrics to a song and read them along with the singer. Once you feel comfortable enough, use the same lyrics to sing the song Karaoke-style. Singing helps you learn new words, memorize them and to feel comfortable with pronouncing them.
There are many resources available to help in your goal of learning English. Classroom-based lessons are one of the best ways to learn. The many options include: one-on-one tutoring, short-term intensive courses, and long-term group classes. Online courses are available- with or without live assistance. Youtube.com offers some informative tutorials. Language learning software is another option- you will need to research programs for ones with the best reviews and highest success rates.
KEYS TO YOUR SUCCESS
*Learn at your own pace…you will see results sooner than you think.
*Get motivated...make it fun, enjoyable, and interesting.
*Be proud of yourself...for taking the initiative of learning a new language.
*Socialize with those who speak English in person or online.
*Practice, practice, practice…then practice some more.
*Practice in front of a mirror or use a recorder to help with pronunciation.
*Don’t be afraid to make mistakes…it is part of any learning process.
*Test yourself occasionally to see your progress (online tests available).
WISHING YOU THE BEST WITH YOUR SONG WRITING!!
Where can I find a copy of the Bin Laden confession tape online?
Is there a link to the FULL 911 confession tape, in Arabic (or whatever language he was speaking) somewhere on the net?
Why? Do you have an interpreter? IF so, make sure you get a lip reader as well.
If you can make your own movies on a computer, I would be leery of something like that being authentic.
Is there an online radio station or streaming music where I can listen to Arabic Music?

What happened in Egypt concerning the offensive movie? American sources don't make any sense?
I am fluent in Arabic, so if you want to type your opinion in Arabic, please do so (be 7iruf 3arabiya ow ingaliziya) :)Thanks in advance
I don't blame the US and I don't blame the west or any one else, the COPTIC Christians of north America were the one behind it and framed it on the US government. they did it purposely. Now they are hiding and trying to blame it on an American producer and a redneck pastor! This movie was engineered by Coptic Christians of North America to create maximum hatred as possible. They use their hives in north America in a prolong cyber and media warfare on the Muslims of Egypt. It is not a new thing. It just exploded yesterday.
Only the copts and Maronite and the middle east Christians have the knowledge and the language to know how to inflame Muslims. Americans, westerners are simply dragged in something they don't know! They are framed and used by them. It is not like we don't know what is going on! 99% of the trolls here in Egypt section are simply coptic or Maronite living on US welfare and having a long time to waste and burn online.
Even in Egypt we see this a lot. The populations is getting frustrated with this minority which controls 40% of the economy, yes copts controls 40% of the Egyptian economy. Launching their hate attacks from Europe and north America. Killing 66 Egyptian soldiers in December of 2011. Working hardly in all espionage tasks in Egypt.

Question about Arabic and different dialects?
Hey everybody, recently I've been really interested in Islam the Middle East and started learning Arabic. The book I have teaches MSA (Modern Standard Arabic). My question is if I fully learn MSA how well will I be able to communicate with people from different Arabic countries. From what i understand, Moroccann is the hardest dialect to understand. Will I be able to understand Saudi, Egyptian, and Eastern Middle East dialects without too much trouble?
Dear brother, Thank you for taking the time in asking, learning something new.
My suggestions are:1. Learn Classical Arabic, this way:
a. The Holy Quran is in the Classical Arabic form.
b. All the Arabs will know what you are talking about.
c. It is the proper way to speak Arabic, and this what is taught in schools (Grammar, poetry, books..etc).
2. If you like to learn a specfic dialect that all Arabs would understand, go with the Egyptian accent; Everybody knows it well, because the Egyptian TV, Movies, and Comedy Plays are the most popular amongst Arab countries.
If you need any help regarding asking about Islam, or the Arabic Language please don't hesitate, you can reach me at email@example.com.
For now, you can learn Arabic online by visiting http://www.livemocha.com/
All the best!

Questions for people who have studied/are studying korean as a second language?
How long have you been studying Korean, what's your first language and how's it going with leaning Korean because I try and it seems so freaking impossible although I know Arabic, Dutch and English perfectly.
I know exactly what you mean. I'm trying to learn Korean too because my boyfriend is Korean, but I'm having a really difficult time with it. I speak English, Thai, and Spanish and am majoring in Mandarin Chinese and having no problem with it, but for some reason Korean just seems so hard to me. I've only been actively studying it for four months now, but I still don't feel like I could have a simple conversation with a Korean person. For me, the pronunciation is really difficult since I'm not used to words with so many syllables and there are so many sounds that sound so similar it's hard for me to distinguish between them. All the different conjugations depending on politeness and seniority and age confuse me as well, I'm always so afraid I'm going to say something in the wrong politeness and offend someone :(I think a big problem for me is that I'm not really around Korean enough for it to stick. I don't know what the situation is where you live, but where I live I don't know many Koreans besides my boyfriend and his family, so I don't usually get a lot of chances to practice and hear it, so things I study I tend to forget and I have to go back and review vocabulary and conjugation. I think if I watched more Korean movies or tried listening more to Korean music just to expose myself to the language more it would help my retention of it a lot, so I've been trying to do that. Maybe that could help you with it too? I also need to force my boyfriend and Korean friends to only talk to me in Korean to force me to use it more haha~
Another thing is that I'm trying to learn by myself with books and online sites. A classroom would be better so a teacher could correct my pronunciation or help me with grammar questions, and tests and homework would force me to study and actively try and remember it more, but Korean is not a very in-demand language to learn and it's hard to find schools that offer classes for it. Half of me just wants to go to Korea so I could be fully submerged in it and it would force me to pick it up, haha~ but until then I just have to keep plugging along~
So yeah, I think those are the major hindrances I have with learning the language. I wish you good luck with it! As long as you're diligent with it, I'm sure you'll finally get it down! 행운을 빕니다~!

How can I successfully fluently speak a language in under 6 months?
I speak fluent English, I can speak French, though it is choppy, but I'm really passionate about learn Russian. So here are some questions that follow:1. How did you learn English (or a second/third language)
2. Can you speak Russian?
If you said yes to 2, How easy/difficult is it?
3. Suggestions, tips?
1. Well my first language is Thai, and I'm fluent in English, Arabic, and Russian. Honestly you just have to be passionate about it. Since everY single language I have learned has a different alphabet than mine (the Thai alphabet) I started off by learning the alphabet for 1-2 months before I even began. And then once I began, I got tons of books, videos, cd,s cassette, a huge variety of things to help me. I study languages probably 1-2 hours a day to help me become better,2. Yes, it is the 2nd foreign language I learned. Honestly the alphabet isn't hard tp learn. A lot of people may tell you Russian is the hardest language to learn, but its not. The hardest in my opinion is Arabic and Mandarin (Chinese). Aside from the alphabet, speaking it is probably the next challenge. In Russian, you have a ton of words with consonants right by each other, which is rare in the English language. Such as 'chto'. Try saying that. (ch as in church). As an english native you will want to put a break in between the 'ch' and the 't'. But you have to say it fast and let it flow. Same thing with 'zvin', you will want to put a space in between the 'z' and the 'v' but you have to say it fast and flowing. If your first language is English, I give Russian about a 6-7/10 on the difficulty scale with Spanish being about a 3/10 in comparison.
3. Honestly, the biggest suggestion I can give to you is to have fun learning it. Just strive to learn more and more each day and before you know it, you will be speaking Russian. Russian is one of (if not THE) funnest and coolest languages to learn and speak. Don't just open a book and read out of it for 2 hours a day. You will want to stop learning within a week. Make it fun and time will fly by! Play games in Russian! Listen to music in Russian! Watch movies, tv shows, and documentaries Russian. Even find some safe online chat rooms with people from Russia! (I recommend pal talk). If you really want a challenge, change your computer and tv settings to Russian and you will be forced to learn what they mean. Thats really all i have to say. Be passionate about it, and you are sure to succeed.
As to being fluent inn 6 months, it just can't happen. Becoming fluent in Russian (or any language for that matter) takes thousands and thousand of hours learning it. There just isn't enough hours in a day for you to become fluent. I will say if you stick with it and practice every day, then in 6 months you will know a lot and will probably be able to get your way around Russia. But realistically, fluency is going to take 2-4 years depending on how much you practice each day.
Any help on how I would be able to speak the Arabic language?

Any good cheap ways to learn french quick and easily?
I took french 1 during my first year of high school (I'm a sophomore now) and I would really like to finish learning french, but my new school doesn't offer it. I got the Berlitz French program and I didn't like it. I can't spend too much and I was hoping I could get a good idea from people who have learned french as a second language and could help me out. Thank you!
Do you know the basics of French already? The verb conjugations, pronouns, etc?If so, I would recommend you just Googling "free online French lesson." You'd be surprised what you can find free on the internet. I took an online Arabic course that had audio and everything. It was really cool and helpful.
Also check out youtube for clips of french movies and songs. Watch French movies (you can rent foreign movies in most public libraries for free) and get instructional books from there as well.
Learning a language doesn't need to be expensive.

How hurtful is threading eyebrows?
It is my first time getting my eyebrows done, my friends recommendme to go threading. But does it hurt a lot THE FIRST TIME ? out of /10.. what would u give? Any tips so it will be less painful ?
ThreadingEyebrow threading is a depilation technique which originated in India, although it is also widely practiced in the Middle East. Salons in Western nations offered the service to Middle Eastern clients for decades before European and American women became interested and the popularity of eyebrow threading skyrocketed. The hair removal technique is not just for the eyebrows: threading can be used to remove other facial and body hair as well.
The technique is sometimes listed on salon menus as khite or fatlah, which are both Arabic words for threading. Eyebrow threading involves twisting a piece of thread, usually cotton, into a double strand. This double stranded thread is used to pick up a line of hair and then remove it, creating a very clean, precise hairline. Eyebrow threading is the technique preferred by Indian movie stars, who are often distinguished by their crisp brow lines.
Eyebrow threading can be used to eliminate a unibrow, raise the arch of the eyebrow, or add shape and definition to the brow. Because it removes hair by the follicle, it is a reasonably long lasting hair removal technique as well. Repeat visits after three to four weeks are standard. The technique is also not terribly expensive because it is easy to do quickly and does not require costly chemical ingredients. For women who would like to pursue a more natural beauty regimen, eyebrow threading is a good choice, since it does not use harmful products.
Eyebrow threading is a preferred hair removal technique for a number of reasons. Unlike tweezing or plucking, eyebrow threading removes one clean line of hair all at once, making it much quicker and easier to shape the brows. Eyebrow threading also will not harm the skin like wax and some depilatory creams can. If done correctly, the skin should not be red or irritated for more than a few minutes after the eyebrow threading session. Some aestheticians also find it easier to shape eyebrows using this technique than other methods available.
It is important to find an aesthetician who is experienced at eyebrow threading. Inexperience can result in uneven brows, hair breakage, ingrown hairs, or unnecessary pain. Most urban areas have a wide variety of spas offering eyebrow threading, and many online resources offer reviews of the service, including photographs of clients. If you are unsure about a spa, look for one which is frequented by Middle Eastern and Indian clients with perfect eyebrows.
It hurts a little, but applying ice beforehand will numb the pain.
Differences between EASTERN and EGYPTIAN Arabic?
I've been trying to learn Eastern Arabic online, and I noticed there is also an Egyptian Arabic program. I'd like to know if they differ much from one another, which countries speak each and which is the most used. Thanks in advance.
Egyptian is the common dialect often taught (Egyptian dialect is popularly understood in the Arab world because of its large population, movie and music industry, etc.). The Gulf (Eastern) has some Farsi (Persian) influence. North African dialect (Morocco, Algeria, Libya) seems the most different from the rest of the countries. I like the accent in the Levantine: Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine, Syria. An example of the regional differences is the letter 'j' -- in Egypt, it's a hard 'g' like golf; in Lebanon/Syria/Jordan, it's pronounced more like a 'zh' like a French j as in bon jour, in other parts of the world, it's a 'j' like just.
Unless you plan to focus on a particular country/region, I'd recommend you take the Egyptian course.
where can i watch an arabic translated movies online or download them?
I'm going to the Andalusia part of Spain in a few weeks and will visit Seville & the Al Hambra. Suggestions?
We're spending two nights in each place (Sevilla and Granada) in early September. I'm not familiar with either place and am looking for advice on things we should not miss. Also, what's the best way to get from one to the other (we're flying into Granada and flying out of Sevilla to Barcelona). Thanks so much for your help and advice!
First, get the spelling right...it's Alhambra...all one word, even though Al in Arabic is the...it is not a seperate word.I take the train from one to the other.
Here´s a good itinerary for Granada.
First and most important, get your tickets in advance. They can be bought online. WAY better than spending between two and four hours in line in the hot Spanish sun!
You need about half a day or more for the Alhambra. Bring a picnic lunch, because there isn´t much food there, and once you get in, you won´t want to go out. Just wander about, or find a guided tour. It´s absolutely spectacular!
You may either take the bus back into town, or walk, if you want the atmosphere. It isn´t terribly far. Back in town, you want to check out the Alcaicería, the Arab shopping district/market. Very colorful.
On day two, you need to go up into the Albaicín. There´s a mirador in front of a church where everyone goes to get perfect views of the Alhambra. Then walk down to town. It´s worth the walk. Very pretty. Once down at the botton, there´s a neighborhood where you should stop at one of the tea shops for tea and sweets, but beware...most of them don't open until British tea time, around 3:00. We managed to find one that was open around 11, but it was difficult.
Here´s your itinerary in Sevilla:
First, check in to your hotel and get comfy, shower, change, whatever. go out, get a cup of café con leche at the nearest bar. And maybe something to munch on, too. A tapa or two.
Then you go to the Cathedral. Can´t miss it. Largest Gothic structure in the world, so, massive gothic building in the middle of the city. If you are on Avda de la Constitución, you follow the Plaza around to the other side, find the entrance get tickets, go through the cathedral itself, then climb the Giralda...The view is incredible!!!!! Then cross the plaza to the Alcázar. BEAUTIFUL Arab-style palace, that the king still uses when in town. stroll through the gardens, and if you still have a little time, splurge on the horse-drawn carriage ride through the park. You can go back the next day to really explore it.
If you didn´t have time to do the carriage ride the first day, take the half one to the park and wander around. The Plaza de América is full of white doves that you can feed if you want, which is especially fun for kids. There are three major museums that surround the plaza. The Museum of Artes y Costumbres, which is housed in an incredible building (also known as the Palacio Mudéjar), the Museum of Archeology, and the third one I always forget the name of ( sorry. Terribly memorable for me, wasn´t it?) Then find your way down to the Plaza de España, which you will recognize from various movies and occasional TV shows that have used it as a backdrop. Most memorable was Star Wars, Ep. 2, where the collonnade was used as a palace on Naboo. (I about shot out of my seat when we were watching it the first time). If you still have time, go wandering through the Barrio Santa Cruz.
In both cities, be sure you keep plenty of water on hand. I take a bottle and fill from taps, it´s good, cool, clear water in both cities. No need to mess with that expensive bottled stuff at restaurants. Stay hydrated, because dehydration can really ruin your vacation.
What is the Swahili symbol for Hakuna Matata?
I'm looking for any information on this symbol:http://wwkawaii.blog.friendster.com/files/hakuna-matata1.jpg
Supposedly it means Hakuna Matata in Swahili but I can't find any solid evidence saying that that is true. Just wondering if the symbol is infact Swahili, and if that is the actual meaning. I have been looking both online and in books but haven't had much luck.
Swahili is not written in symbols. It was previously written in Arabic script, and now it's written in Latin script (like the one used for English) . "Hakuna Matata" is simply "Hakuna Matata" . The symbol in the pic is neither in Arabic script nor Latin. So , of course it isn't Swahili , there isn't a 'symbol' for Hakuna Matata. I just found out that the particular symbol is from a Korean movie '200 pounds beauty'. Here: http://s-p-a-r-k-l-e-s-9-2.blogspot.com/2009/09/hakuna-matata.htmlI guess this should clear your doubts that it isn't any Swahili symbol, rather it was symbolized as Hakuna Matata in the movie. So, it's up to you , if you like it, use the symbol anyhow you please, even so as a symbolization of Hakuna Matata if you may.

Is there a book titiled Floona? Is Floona based on a true story?
I know there's a book called "The Swiss Family Robinson" and the family gets shipwrecked and goes to live on an island for a while. I'm talking about the Arabic cartoon Floona. I'm putting this in Ramadan because I figure there's a lot of Arabs here who may have watched Floona as kids and know what I'm talking about.
