  1. QUESTION:
I think I found the one... and she's leaving?
So I met this girl, she is absolutly beautiful! It all started at school, she ran behind these hidden stairs and (me being who I am) I wanted to help her. I walked up there and she was all ppoofy faced and red eyed balling her eyes out. Turns out she had to dump her Bf and a whole lot of other things I swore not to tell, but they arent pretty... at all. We have a lot in common, and it is so freaking weird. We couldve grown up in the same house. She didnt expect me to come back the next day, but I did. I dont know, something about this girl. She is just so dang Mezmerizing! One day she asked me if anyone could see us, and I said no. She moved in for a kiss, and I moved in also. She told me I was a terrible kisser and I told her it was my first. So she kissed me two more times after telling me I need to pucker more xD. She told me all this, and its true. I am not allowed to text at my dads house ( Nazi kinda) so we write letters to eachother over the weekends. She and I both have a dark past, and really like eachother.... But she is running away. She lives in an abusive home, and its really sad so I wont go to depth. But before we met, she already decided that she was going. Her sister is 20 and she is going to live with her. I really want to go, I know its a serious thing, VERY SERIOUS. And I havent even asked her out yet! (Going to tommorrow) She said that she would love for me to come with her, but she doesnt want to take me against my will. In movies, there is this stupid little thing called true love. Well i think I finally know what that is, and I dont want to lose it. No one EVER has understood me like she does. I was going to go, but her sister doesnt trust me. Should I ask her sister to take me? I am a super smart kid, yeah only 15, but I already have college for free, and 2k from my buisness. What do I do??

    • ANSWER:
Well, I can see that you really love her. Who knows, she could even be the one you are destined to be with. But you are only 15. Even if she is 'the one', you are still being too hasty. You still have your life ahead of you. If you are leaving for good, you might be leaving many things behind. If you don't go, you could still find a way to see her and write to her and all that. If it's not possible, then take a chance. Love actually is a powerful thing. But whatever you do, remember, follow you heart. Listen to it. Whatever you choose, I wish you all the luck in the world. :)

  3. QUESTION:
I got a call today, this man saw me on ExploreTalent.com and wants to be my agent.... is it a scam?
I made an account on exploretalent.com a little while back, I had saw it advertised about casting calls and this stuff so I signed up for a free account. Once it told me I had to pay to submit for any audition I was like ehh whatever and forgot about it.

Then I got a phone call today from a man, he kind of had an accent so it was a little hard for me to understand everything he was saying, that and trying to keep my son quiet so I could talk on the phone lol He basically was saying he wanted to be my agent, talked about making me business cards with my picture on them and wanted to submit me for a role in a new Pirates of the Caribbean movie.

Now, that sounds great, if it is real ya know. I'd love to be an actress! I mean look how much money they make lol I'd take an acting job that made me 1 or 2k a month, I don't gotta have the millions I just think it would be fun but I don't want to be scammed! I've heard mostly that it isn't a scam from researching and googling but IDK?!

He did say I'd have to pay an application fee of 69.something but I don't have the money right this minute ya know. and I asked him would I be guaranteed to get it if I paid and did all that and he is like yeah! he sounded so sure, he's like that's why I'm contacting you. This is serious... and so on.

I told him that it would be Friday before I could even pay the fee, but if I was guaranteed to get it then yea i'd do it.. he said the submission date was today and said so you want me to hold it (or something?) and i said sure and he said how can i trust you? (speaking of holding it til friday) i'm like idk but i'd really like to do it if this is real.

Anyways, I just want to know if anyone thinks or knows this is a scam? I don't even remember the guy's name! lol I'd love to get into something like that but I don't wanna be ripped off.
there is a new pirates of the caribbean movie coming out but i understand what yall are saying and i am thinking it is too good to be true.

    • ANSWER:
      SCAM!

I'm an LA Actor who has worked on Pirates of the Caribbean and am giving you the REAL DEAL! Extra roles on Pirates do NOT pay that much. At most you're going to make /8 hours or 0 if you're SAG.

Explore Talent does NOT cast Pirates of the Caribbean! If you want to be an Extra on that film, go to Sande Alessi. She has been the Extras casting director for ALL of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies.

      http://www.sandealessicasting.com/

Explore Talent is a proven SCAM! Go look them up on Better Business Bureau! They STEAL castings from FREE sites like Mandy and Craigslist and charge money. They also steal from LEGIT sites like ActorsAccess.com

Respected Casting Director, Industry Expert, and Author, Bonnie Gillespie ( http://more.showfax.com/columns/avoice/ ) has said how her castings which she ONLY posted on ACTORSACCESS.COM have mysteriously ended up on Explore Talent with the dates and some info changed around. GO AND EMAIL HER IF YOU DON'T BELIEVE ME!

      Explore Talent also MISLEADS!
They entice people with bogus links such as:

      http://disney-channel-auditions.com

Some kid thinking he or she will get Disney Channel Auditions will end up at Explore Talent and not see any Disney Channel Auditions.

Explore Talent claims to have been around for 5 years. In EVERY Acting Reference/Business Book written no earlier than 5 years and even in the books written or edited in 2008/2009, there is NO mention of Explore Talent!

Let's reference some of the Top Acting Business Books out there:

In Acting is Everything: Gold Edition by Judy Kerr, she mentions LA Casting, Actors Access, and NowCasting.

In Self Management for Actors by Bonnie Gillespie, LA Casting, Actors Access, and Nowcasting.

In How to Be a Working Actor:5th Edition by Mari Lyn Henry, Lynne Rogers, and Joe Mantegna, LA Casting, Actors Access, and NowCasting.

In Making it in Hollywood by Scott Sedita, LA Casting, Actors Access, and NowCasting.

      WHERE ARE YOU EXPLORE TALENT?

Here are THE ONLY LEGIT online sites that you can get work from:

ALL SITES NOT LISTED BELOW ARE SCAMS!

      In LA:
      -Actorsaccess.com
      -LACasting.com
      -NowCasting.com
-Backstage.com (they have a weekly newspaper that you can get at stores that lists castings)

      In NY:
      -Actorsaccess.com
      -NYCASTING.COM
      -NYCASTINGS.COM
-Backstage.com (they have a weekly newspaper that you can get at stores that lists castings)

      Other markets:
      -ActorsAccess.com
      -Backstage

      Free but proceed with Caution:
      -Craigslist
      -Mandy.com
      -Castingcallsearch

Know that you're ONLY going to see at most 30% of the work out there. ONLY agents have access to the serious jobs or the other 70%.

To get an agent, you need to get GREAT headshots, a good resume, and training from the best. These are enough to get you a commercial agent at least. Getting a GOOD theatrical agent (Film/tv) takes longer. Most good theatrical agents won't see you unless you're SAG, have a polished resume, and a demo reel. Commercial agents are more lenient about that. What the best Commercial agents want to see on your resume are good commercial classes, improv, and cold reading.

You can get an agent multiple ways. Here are a few common ways:
-Mail in an unsealed manilla envelope with a CONCISE coverletter and headshot with the resume stapled on the back. If you have a demoreel include that too.
-Attend a showcase and impress them.
-Get a referral from a friend who is with the agency that you're interested in

      DON'T
-Email them unless they tell you to. IT'S UNPROFESSIONAL!
-Call unless they tell you to. ALSO UNPROFESSIONAL!
-Walk in and ask for a meeting. UNPROFESSIONAL THREE!
-Sign with them if they ask for upfront money, make you take new photos with THEIR photographer, or take THEIR classes. Agent's ONLY make money when you do. Agents usually make 10% on film/tv and commercials and 20% on commercial print.

  4. QUESTION:
Would anyone like to share their favorite moments in video gaming?
The first time I played Super Mario Bros and Duck Hunt.

I was hooked from then on. I knew this is what i wanted to do with my free time. And i think i was 5.

The first Zelda game, just flat out awesome. The music, the gold cartridge, the gameplay. So much fun.

I had a Sega and of course Sonic was simply gorgeous to play. But the 2 games that stood out for me were Shining Force 2 and Phantasy Star 4. They made me rethink about what games could do. The first time i appreciated a game for its story telling, on the same level as a movie or a book, if anything more interactive.

Never had a super nintendo, but playing Super Mario on my friend's super NES was awesome. i was so jealous. I got on recently and i must say, Mario RPG is awesome.

Also played a lot of star fox, wwf and wcw games, and golden eye on N64.

I remember the first time i played the very first resident evil, i was home alone, playing in the dark, the part where you hear the zombie crunching but not sure what the sound is, then you see someone sitting on the ground, he slowly turns, freaked me out!

Final Fantasy 7, i faked being sick so i could stay home and finish it. I can still remember the last battle against sephiroth, although i may not be able to explain the story to you.

Metal Gear Solid, battle against Psycho Mantis, nuff said!

Street Fighter 2 in the arcades, and every single fighting game that followed. i lost out on many, many school lunches so i could play after school and on weekends at my local aracade.

Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 1 &2, Elder Scrolls Oblivion, Fable, Heavenly Sword, Castlevania, Kid Icarus, Altered Beast, Final Fight, Streets of Rage, Skate or Die 1 & 2, Vegas Dreams, Rescue Rangers, almost every super mario game, same for zelda, all the pokemon games, kingdom hearts, professor layton, fallout 3, shenmue, capcom vs marvel, batman arkham asylum, contra, nba 2k and nba live, and most of the wwe games just to name a few of my favorites.

  5. QUESTION:
I'm 14 years old and ready to start my life.I need jobs that pay at least /h for 7 hours also advice.help?
Well,I'm 14 years old and I want to:

    Get a job
    Get my OWN apartment

Basically getting my works permit (I need it or I'll have to be 16 to work)
Also get emancipated (to get the apartment)

I'm asking for at least dollars and hour for 7 hours.
    That way it's 00 monthly.

Since I don't know real life money I'm taking a guess at it

    around 00 rent.
    Around 0 groceries
    Laundry ? (wild guess)
    Electricity 0
    Cable/Phone/Internet 0
    All equals to 40

The rest would be for maybe an extra bill that I probably missed.
If not then I'd get myself something nice.

What jobs can get me 2,000 monthly?

I was thinking like a job at the mall.I wouldn't mind working at Hot Topic,or at the movies.
    Anything really!

    For all you wandering
I do my school work online,so I have time for a job
    I'm NOT abandoning my family,ha.

So,if you know any jobs, please tell me!

Actually I'm not thinking of starting 'till I'm 15 (early Jan)

    • ANSWER:
You are expecting to pay 00 for rent? Where the heck do you live ... New York City? You are planning 0 a month for groceries ... are you anorexic??? It's one thing to have goals set but what's missing for you is term "realistic" goals. I have 30 years of work experience and I don't make (nor take home) K a month. Have you considered that taxes will be taken from your income? an hour will not yield what you're seeking based on 7 hours of work. Are you taking any math courses??? There are alot of restrictions for minors (until legal age) in terms of what hours and duties a "child" can perform. It is important that you are aware of them as you begin a job search. With that said, I don't want to be totally negative about your situation and objectives but simply the way you are thinking. You can start up your own business which would give you 100% of your income after taxes and expenses are paid (often with tax deductions) and you don't have to be a certain age. There will be legal restrictions such as the types of products or services you can market like you cannot sell alcohol, tobacco or firearms. You should look into starting up a business of your own using your time and talents. Do you know that free time you have now? Use it wisely. Check out the library for books like "Fast Cash for Kids" by Bonnie & Noel Drew and also the book "The Richest Kids in America" by Mark Vincent Hansen. There are young adults making some suprising incomes in their own businesses but don't rely on a traditional job to pay you the kind of money you're seeking because at your age, it's going to be a disappointment. Steer away from anything that sounds too good to be true. Review your goals and your expense theories and always seek to live within your means. Consider two jobs, consider a roommate, consider dropping the cell phone plan, consider your own business, consider ways to make money instead of ways to spend it.

  6. QUESTION:
How to rent a house if I am 18 yrs old?
i have been trying to find a 3 bedroom house to rent with my girlfriend and her friend, we are all 18/19 years old and nobody will take us seriously... they ask how our credit is, and I have only had a credit card for 6 months or so... I've spent a few thousands dollars on it mainly on audio/recording equipment, and never missed a single payment... should my credit be good enough to rent a house?? I have to sign on it myself, my parents are pushing bankruptcy, so nobody will rent to them either

I have a 4 day a week job at a very big insurance bill review company, and go to college, and make roughly 18k a year... this is not quite enough to rent a house at 00 a month because everybody requires 2-3 times the rent in monthly income.... if my gf and i put our money together we make enough but ppl still say no, and I also do side work that makes minimum 900-1100 dollars a month.... so i technically am pulling in close to 2k+ a month but everybody laughs at me- and doesn't want to rent to three 18 yr. olds... i've even offered to pay the entire lease (6 months) of rent up front since people seem to think that I can't afford it... i can't get someone to take into consideration that two people are paying for the house not one...

NOBODY will rent to me... what do i do? What do i need?? I don't look like some low-life or thug or anything, just a pretty normal 18 yr. old trying to move into my own place....

how do i get a landlord to accept my situation? and allow that I give them my household income vs. just my income which 1k a month isn't necessarily verifiable since it comes from performance gigs (i'm a musicain and fire performer)

I'm dying over stress right now, what am I doing wrong?? how do college kids rent a house w/ roommates??

everybody wants a perfect credit history, and I haven't had a credit card very long... how do I get around this without finding a house in the ghetto from some guy who just cares if i have money or not??? anybody who is renting anything halfway decent laughs at me and asks for my parents to come in... arent I legally an adult? why I am I being treated like a young and stupid child? I've had people be very rude to me when I tell them my age, I've even been hung up on after i answered how old i was....

    please help!
    thanks
I am looking to RENT, not BUY.... and I can save money... i have enough money saved that I could pay all of the rent up front, which i mentioned above

6months rent = roughly 7-8 thousand $... I have more than that saved... is that not enough on top of my monthly income??

i understand the stereotype for my age group but i think it's pretty common for ppl to move out at 18
my issue isn't that i need somebody to give me money to pay the rent... i CAN afford it... but from money I've saved because my monthly income is a few hundred dollars too low... this is why I have money to pay for it.... i have literally thousands of dollars saved up.... i could pay a whole year's rent... why is this such a problem?? why do people think i'm not going to pay when I show them ALL the rent money...??? it makes no sense!!

    • ANSWER:
College kids in movies rent a great house with strangers and all is gas and gaiters; college kids in real life rent a house with strangers and almost invariably it's a disaster. They disagree over how the space should be used/apportioned and, of course, how utility, phone and rent bills should be paid. Really dumb college kids will even sign a lease. Roomies then move in with or without landlord's approval - another major headache for landlord - and they refuse to pay or leave mysteriously with no forwarding address. Hey, presto! The rent comes due but, alas, w/o roomies' payment(s) you can't afford it. Landlord doesn't care about your private arrangements with roomies, either. If your name is on the lease, s/he need not inquire. Even if all names are on the lease, landlord is not required to seek payment according to your private payment scheme. Prudent landlords usually require post-dated cheques for the full contract (lease) term - usually a one-person task so signatory is on the hook. If the cheques are bad, there could be criminal charges for fraud in addition to a judgment against you for outstanding rent. Don't go there.

Free advice: If you can't cover the rent personally w/o contributions from roomies, you can't afford to rent. It's that simple. Seek more humble accommodations that fit your budget. Two, avoid the grief of competing interests on the home front and never share a household with anyone but family.

Landlords here are helping you with a life lesson, friend. Learn it! See http://www.askbiblitz.com/renting.php for more on the disastrous living arrangements you describe. As they say in poker, read 'em and weep.

  7. QUESTION:
How can I get involved in a sport for the London 2012 Olympics? Ive looked everywhere but cannot find ansrs!?
Ocassionaly On the TV Ive seen many kids wearing 2012 London T shirts and practising for their sports.

    Where are they training???

Ive been to the London 2012 website but there is no info on how you can compete for a sport.

I do light weight rowing and Iam 16 - my 2k time is: 7:18mins.
    I also swim and run.
My 100m running time is : 12.78 secs

    • ANSWER:
You best bet is to figure out ONE sport (rowing OR running OR swimming) based on your physique (remember, your body will change a lot over the next 4 years, so, for example, you may not want to look at the sprint as your sport if your physique is likely to end up being good for 5000 metre plus distances).

Don't forget to consider sports you may not have much experience in. For example, you may have a very good physique for cycling even though you have not really done it competitively!

N.B. You HAVE to have a passion for your sport. You will be doing it all day every day and it will cause you more pain and heartache than you can imagine, so you better love it enough to get you through these rough times to the good times!

Next practise, practise, practise! Find a good club, with a GREAT coach and kiss your social life goodbye for 4 years. Sport at this level is all about sacrifice. It is not just the endless hours of training, it is also about the free time between training when you rest instead of partying, when you read up on technique/competition instead of going to the movies, when you travel to and from competitions instead of going camping.

Most people want to do this as a part time gig but the ONLY way to get there is if you treat it as a fulltime job AND you are lucky enough to be genetically blessed! That is why we all admire these athletes, they are the very best of the very few!

Good luck and give me a wave from the Gold Medal podium in 2012!

  8. QUESTION:
    The Orleans in Las Vegas?
If you have ever stayed at the Orleans in Las Vegas...what are your opinions on it?

    • ANSWER:
The Orleans is in no shape, manner or form a "dump"

AND it's NOT "far" from the strip or a "10 minute" cab ride >It's 1 mile West of the strip< So unless your cab is a camel, it's not going to take 10 minutes.

The Orleans has a free shuttle to the center of the strip from 9:30am- Midnight. You can also catch the city(CAT) bus 24 hours a day, and it stops right in front of the Orleans.

      This is their web site

      http://www.orleanscasino.com

I have stayed there a week or two each year since they opened in 98(I think it was)

We were there for 10 days in December> Room 1640, awesome view of the strip.

The Orleans rooms are a very nice, over size 450sq ft - The rooms have a sitting area, a desk for work, high speed internet connection, coffee maker, blow dryer,iron/board, closet, safe, and you can get a mini frige on request. The bathrooms are not very large, but it's kind of a nice touch that they have a small window you can actually open.

The swimming pool is nice >not great.

The Buffet is one of the best for the $$ in all of LV.

The Courtyard Cafe is a very nice place to grab a bite, especially if you're a night owl or an early riser. Their graveyard special are among the best in LV.
      Biscuits & Gravy - .95
      Eggs & Bacon or Sausage - .45
      Pancakes & Ham + 1 Egg - .45
      Ham & Eggs + Hashbrowns & Toast - .45
      Steak & Eggs + Hashbrowns & Toast - .45

One of the very best "moderate" price steakhouses in all of LV. "The Prime Rib Loft"

My favorite place for burgers in LV
Terrible Mike's - 1/3lb burgers - separate "fixins" table to doctor up your burger - free fries and drink with coupons from the Orleans "funbook"

They have several fast food choices besides Terrible Mike's, Subway for one and a Seattle's best coffee shop(I think it is, I'm not a coffee drinker)>There are also 8 or 9 Restaurants to choose from< There is also a small snack "shack" close to the sports book that sells hotdogs.

The gift shop sells chips and dip, water, pop, milk, etc at a price barely above grocery store prices.> A large bag of Tostitos chips & dip were .99 each.

The Orleans has it's own arena for events, hockey games, etc

Rick Thomas has a magic show at the Orleans >This is a very nice show and a good value. >white tigers<

The Orleans has an 18 screen movie theater, a 70 lane bowling allery, and arcade, Kids Tyme, A business center, Terrible's Wine & Liquor which has the best prices you're going to find anywhere, they guarantee it, I know I can't buy it at home for their prices.

The "Alligator" bar is too cool.

The Orleans "slot club" >Club Coast< is one of the best in all of LV for free/casino rate offers on rooms. If you stay there & play a little you can expect to receive an offer for free or cut rate rooms. Hint >If you both run 2K(about 2 hours quarter VP play) or more through a machine per day, sign up for separate accounts. This way you will get twice as many free nights + they usually throw in extras on the marketing offers such as free show tickets or buffets, free plays, etc. You might as well get two.

The Club Coast awards points on a "coin out" rather than "coin in" like most LV casinos. So you accumulate points much quicker when you're winning. Points can be used for cash back or comps. They often have "double point" days. Be sure to use the free 1000 point coupon in your free "funbook" when you sign up. >They will give you the "funbook" at checkin, this is one of the very best "funbooks" in all of LV.

Club Coast awards cash back/comps at a rate of .3% which is over 3 times higher than most slot clubs in LV. >Gotta love those double point days :-) >Most casinos are at or below .1% when it comes to CB & comps!

Trip Advisor has the Orleans rated as the #2 best value hotel in the WORLD. >I guess they missed the "dump" part >LOL
