I'm basically looking for songs similar to Almost Lover (by Fine Frenzy) or Cant Help Falling In Love (cover by Ingrid Michaelson) or Do It Now (Also by Ingrid) or Florence the Machine. But any upbeat songs are welcomed! And so are youtube videos of really good solos! Thanks!

Would Frankenstein and Dracula be considered a Horror or Monster movie?
So I was watching the Godzilla reviews on YouTube (Godzillathon) and when I got to Godzillathon #3 - King Kong vs Godzilla, the original plot was supposed to be Godzilla vs. Frankenstein. I then got to thinking, would Frankenstein be considered a monster movie genre or being hes an zombie-type creature, would his movie be considered a Horror-type movie? And same for the original Dracula vampire movie, which of those two genres would have the lean?

    • ANSWER:
You need to remember that Monster is a sub-genre of Horror. That being said, Frankenstein is a Monster film, while Dracula stays in the Horror genre roots.

How do they put all those monsters and aliens in movies?
Like buidings crashing, monsters fighting the characters? Who does that and how do they do that? It interests me as a career. I dotn think its cgi because the monsters look way too real to be cgi.

    • ANSWER:
most monsters and alien of today's movies are just CGI made, the CGI craze started with jurassic park back in the mid-90's however there was a time that those monsters and aliens were made by using stop motion miniature techniques or by just simply using a guy in a suit walking around the set destroying miniature buildings and fighting another guy in a suit.

if you really want to learn more on how did they do it, you can start by for example watching the dvd extras.making of.documentaries about the movie, usually they are included in every monster/alien movies dvd release.

also here's a few documentaries about the undisputed king of monsters "godzilla" that you might like..

What is the difference between a teaser movie trailer and a theatrical movie trailer?

    • ANSWER:
The primary function of a teaser is just to let you know a movie is coming. It might be very short and include nothing but a title. Other times it really is a tease of the movie. It will often contain unfinished effects and may even contain scenes that won't be found in the actual movie.

Contrary to what others have said, there is no set length for a teaser. The teasers for Godzilla (1998) and Disney Car's teaser were both two minutes long; the teaser for Toy Story 3 was 1minute 45 seconds.
      Godzilla: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yjKeNVLRuWU
      Cars: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qCKdkbsMUA8
      Toy Story 3: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5f-MYl-HzNw

A regular trailer - or a theatrical trailer - is usually 2 minutes 30 seconds long and it's more or less a condensed version of the entire movie with the ending left out.

Most of the spots you see on TV are 30-60 second versions of the theatrical trailers.

What are the names of the gayest movies you have seen that should be snatched from store shelves because?
Their are too nasty for children or even adults to watch.

    • ANSWER:
      Well, probably "Godzilla vs Megalon"

I love Godzilla movies but this movie is something nobody should see; no man, woman, child or beast should be subjected to the torments of this depraved, mind-numbing perversion of conscience. Dastardly, I tell you! A heinous crime against the senses!

      Oh, the horror! =D

Who were the monsters who got killed in godzilla?
I'm starting to really like this movie, i never seen it before.
But i watch some clips on youtube, and I want to know what monsters died in this movie, infact all of them,

    • ANSWER:
If you're talking about the 1998 move then those monsters were Godzilla's children

Do you think watching films in a theater is a communal experience? How so?

I'll be putting a thumbs up for every response. I'm genuinely curious in hearing all perspectives.

Also, just food for thought: Do you get frustrated when people walk out of a theater? Do you think that walking out says a lot about how film is taken seriously as an art form?
Personally, the best experiences I've had in a movie theater is when the audience is genuinely excited to be there. They're cheering for the plot, booing for the antagonist, etc.

    • ANSWER:
It depends on the movie. I really like going to horror movies on the opening weekend. A full theater during a scary movie where everyone is jumping and screaming (and laughing just after they scream) just makes the experience more fun for me.

I saw Independence Day in the theater on the opening weekend. I live in Los Angeles county. The scene when the newscaster is asking Angelino's to stop firing guns at the aliens because they may inadvertently start an intergalactic war got a huge reaction. That was an awesome shared experience.

Oh yeah... Godzilla 1985. I can't even remember the movie itself, but there was a short cartoon just before the movie started... Bambi vs. Godzilla (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZpBkc2jK-6w). When the short ended and the audience (full theater) was dead silent. You could hear a pin drop. Then suddenly everyone erupted in laughter. It was so unexpected. This was in 1984, so the Internet and videos like this did not exist in the public realm. I will 11, but I still remember it.

All that being said, movies that make me cry... Up, Pay It Forward, etc... I prefer a mostly empty theater. I don't like crying in public. So, like I said at the beginning, it depends on the movie.

how do i make a king kong movie with my king kong doll(recording it with a camera?
im not moving it a little space then take a a pickture it too much work.im going to recrod it with my digatal camera then put it on youtube.i dont want it to be crap.give me 3 paragraphs not 3 words.

    • ANSWER:
If you don't wanna use stop motion photography, then you'll have to do it the easier way but you won't get as much better effects with the doll.

Move the doll with very thin clear strings so you won't be able to see it. Make a good backround that kind of fills up the screen so that the string won't be easy to see. You can try to stiffen it up by putting wooden bones inside of it. You can use your hand but you can't show it.

You can also try making a costume like the guys did for godzilla and use that for some scenes.

where can i watch free Godzilla movies without downloading?
i never watched godzilla. tell me the websites to watch free godzilla movies and top 5 godzilla of your opinion

    • ANSWER:

is hollywood teasing a Leatherface vs Jigsaw movie in the near future?
I saw Texas Chainsaw 3D this past saturday night, and during the movie I noticed a SAW reference, do yall think we're gonna see a Leatherface vs Jigsaw movie in the near future

    • ANSWER:
no, Because Jigsaw is not a slasher, he is a mastermind. You can only have movies where 2 characters vs each other when both are on the same playing field, and the battle would be matched.

      Alien Vs Predator (both aliens)
Freddy Vs. Jason (both violent teen killers)
Godzilla vs King Kong (both giant animals)

this is why Godzilla Vs Bambi didn't do well, because it was too unevenly matched...

what are we to make of Godzilla having been a vengeful god in the B&W movies, but now being good?
i know true believers will be able to explain away much of this, but i think there's something to it. Don't get me wrong, like most of you, i'm a Zilla-ian as well but its making me question the way i look at the tapes. may G_Z bless and eat you!

    • ANSWER:

Do you know who created the mythic animal Bambi in the book of the same name & what was the sequel?

Hmmmm, I'm begining to think none have actually read the book that Disney made into a movie. Am I right?

    • ANSWER:
You are correct, as far as I'm concerned. I don't know of any book that proceeded the movie. As for the movie sequal, I think it was bambi vs. godzilla.

I saw this thing on youtube but anyways it is considered as a demonic icon or not?

    • ANSWER:
No he's just a character created by the Angry Video Game Nerd. He even states in a video that SMDC is a parody of all the Mecha characters from the Godzilla movies (Like Mecha Godzilla's firing lasers from its eyes and rockets from its fingers, etc.). He's not meant to be demonic. Just entertaining and kick ass.

Who are your favorite early Japanese filmmakers/directors?
When was Japanese film at its peak?

Recommend a Japanese film from before 1970?

    • ANSWER:
It's so obvious to say Akira Kurosawa.

But I have to say Akira Kurosawa.

One of the greatest directors to ever live, whose influence remains strong and widespread. He was a perfectionist on set and his films are the better for it. They are air-tight, from the way the actors interacted with each other to the use of weather as an atmosphere enhancer. This was a man in control of every element. If you were to examine a single frame from a Kurosawa-directed picture, I doubt you could pinpoint one detail, from the stance of the actors to the way a rain-swept street reflects light, he wasn't aware of and using to his advantage.

He was also an international director. For example: one of his finest films, Ran, is based on Shakespeare's King Lear. Kurosawa did not bind himself to only Japan and Japanese pop culture and myths. He was open to the world when it came to gathering influences and discovering stories to tell.

However, since Kurosawa's best films, such as The Seven Samurai, Rashomon, Red Beard, and Yojimbo, are so well-known, I will recommend a slightly more obscure title: Tokyo Drifter, directed by Seijun Suzuki. One of the best gangster films ever. You just KNOW Quentin Tarantino has watched this movie several times.

Also, for sheer fun, you can't beat The Mysterians, directed by Ishirō Honda (who also did the original Godzilla in 1954).

In terms of when Japanese cinema reached its peak, I would say the 1960s, though the 1990s were very strong and the 21st century has been very strong, too.

    Looking for a particular software?
I see people upload clips of TV shows such as Conan's Tonight Show or a Godzilla movie onto Youtube in the form of a clip, or in a compilation video that they put online. How do they do this? Is there a special software that copies what's on the TV screen and saves it as a media file?

    • ANSWER:
There are lots of different ways. DVDs can be ripped with something like Handbrake, while files from a DVR can be converted or uploaded directly. A video converter card allows you to hook up a VCR or television cable to your computer and record video. And videos on websites can be downloaded.

How can i improve my youtube channel and get more comments etc?

    • ANSWER:

      1. Upload more then three videos.

      2. Only make lyrics videos if there's no official music video for the song, otherwise no one will watch it. I don't know if there's an official one for the song you posted, but use this as a general rule.

      3. Upload scenes from movies/ animes etc. Though be warned it might get your account banned eventually. NEVER upload Godzilla movie clips like I did cuz they get taken off almost immediately.

      4. You can try making something completely original, like a anime music video you made yourself, or a story you wrote, or poem, or a song or something.

Try those, see if they work. Good luck.

Why doesn't YouTube allow you to watch full movie?
I was looking for a movie to watch on you tube like for ex. Pirates of the Caribbean idk which one but it didn't let me see the whole thing it deleted some parts. Also i wanted to watch Peter Pan 2003 and it only had one part of the whole movie. Why do utube People? delete parts of movies?

    • ANSWER:
Those movies are not allowed on youtube. They are illegal to watch online unless you buy them. Youtube limtis their videos because it keeps people from uploading entire movies like your asking.

On the other hand, youtube buys some movies, like the 1999 Godzilla. Look it up. You will find the full version on youtube with some commercials to help generate money.

Why is it that in zombie movies no one takes the tank?
Like in the 2nd episode of the Walking Dead he was in a tank why didnt he just drive the thing I mean seriously he could mow all of the zombies down with it and why didnt he take one of the helicopters at the hospital I mean seriously I wouldv taken that tank or the helicopter why is it that no one takes the tank, apc, helicopter etc?
so what there is always time to learn I would take it and correct me do tanks not have cannons?

    • ANSWER:
They could, but the run time would end up rivaling the 1969 classic "Bambi Meets Godzilla" and the theaters screening the film probably wouldn't sell as much popcorn.

I've posted the IMDb listing below. You can see the entire award winning film on YouTube.

I smell a new Godzilla movie? -Saw this during the Transformer previews-?
While watching the previews before Transformers came on I noticed a preview that looked a lot like a Godzilla movie.
At first these people are having a good time talking about how they're going to miss their friend who is going to Japan -Ironicly- Then the building starts to shake and you hear a sound that,if you watched the Godzilla movie from where it's in New York, sounds like it's low grumble. Then everyone heads outside. The first thing they see is a HUGE ball of fire. They spot debree falling from the sky and run towards the streets. They then turn a look down the street and say something along the lines of "What is that?" But thats all I can remember. Then it ends aburblty with nothing stating what the movie is called just a Date. Anyone if you know anything about this could you tell me. Or if you have your own opionon of it let it be heard.

    • ANSWER:
It's called "Cloverfield" and it includes Michael Stahl-David, Odet Jasmin, Mike Vogel, and Lizzy Kaplan. (Most of these people have little to their names). The plot line is a surprise going-away party in a New York bar when a loud noise is heard and the party-goers run out to the street to see pandemonium. It revolves around a monster attack told by this group of people. It's rumored that this film is shot from a 1st-person point of view but it is not clear if the entire movie will follow that style. It's tentatively set for a January 18th release but if the buzz builds it might be move to an early summer release for better box office. Paramount is trying to keep everyone in the dark about this film to generate buzz. It was greenlighted in February and they expect it to do big bucks. JJ Abrams is producing it and Matt Reeves is directing it. You can only see at the beginning of Transformers for now. It was on YouTube yesterday but PPC yanked it citing copyright infringement.

Do you think the American remake of Godzilla is underrated?
I was about ten when I first saw it, and I thought it was awesome! As I grew up, I've heard the negative comments that people have made about this movie, but I simply ignore them. They act as if the Godzilla movies are classic, but they're not. The character is. Personally, I love it even more now because of its music by David Arnold, who knows how to bring grandeur to his work, and am especially glad that his complete score was finally released.
Yes, I am talking about the 1998 version set in NYC.

    • ANSWER:
The original Gojira was not "campy and light." The dubbed Americanized version completely muddled the main theme, of nature gone wild as retaliation for the abuses of science. A proper subtitled version was only released last fall, and in this version it's a fairly serious sci-fi film....as you can tell from the original Japanese trailer:

The US remake was okay by me. I am looking forward to the as-yet untitled movie about a godzilla=like critter that destroys NYC, coming next year - trailer:

Will it be the END of the world at 2012?
Will it be end of the world at 2012
i just heard from you tube that it's the end of the world at 2012 and movie 2012, it's true about the Mayan calender
it's true, about it, it's a prediction from a computer webot

    • ANSWER:
Any idiot can post any old rubbish on YouTube and most of them do.
The movie 2012 was fiction. Just like King Kong and Godzilla.
The Mayan Long Count calendar rolls over from to on 21st December 2012. The Mayans made no doomsday prediction.
Whilst the web bot may have a chance of predicting stock market trends, when it comes to natural events - forget it.
Anything you hear about anything unusual happening in 2012, particularly on 21st December has been made up by frauds and crackpots and will not take place. You have a 100% guarantee on that.

Jurassic Park 4 and Godzilla 2?
Once again, I need your guys help! I've been looking around Youtube, and I need answers again! I've heard rumors about a fourth Jrassic Park movie and a second Godzilla movie that followed the one in 1998. Is this true? If so, I would be so amazingly happy, because I love Godzilla and Jurassic Park to bits and I would just die from joy if this was true! Please tell me it is!

    • ANSWER:
There is supposed to be a Jurrasic park for but at this moment nothing is in the works. The process slowed to a standstill when Michael Crichton passed in 08. they are still trying to get the project rolling but they stll dont know how to proceed. as for godzilla 2, that project sputtered and died out a few years ago as the first was not that big of a hit.

What do you think of this Rage Against The Machine song

The song is called No Shelter. Tell me your thoughts?

    • ANSWER:
Heh, it's not available in my country, but I know what song you're talking about. It's one of my favourites from RATM.

You know what's so ironic about this song...it appeared in the Godzilla soundtrack and the lyrics in the song actually talk about how movies such as Godzilla is diverting viewer attention from the real world.

      "Godzilla pure mother****in' filler
Get your eyes off the real killer"

Course it maybe was better at night

Yowee this is way cool beans, I'm learnin a lot. TY

    • ANSWER:
Yes and no one ever thought there would be color,it was a black and white world. When the stores started to sell color t.v. they were very expensive but if you walked by one in a store you had to stop and stare because the picture was so much more life like looking. Now there are big screen LCD and sound systems to go with them. YOUR QUESTION WITH ALL OF THE VARIETY OF ANSWERS IS ONE OF THE MOST INTERESTING ONE i HAVE EVER READ.

if somebody posted a video on youtube, speaking - but the voice was out of sync (badly) ?
what reasons would be for this ?

and if the reason to do this was deliberate - why would they do this ? for what purpose would they be doing this ?

im watching videos of some chap - who is speaking, but his mouth moves very out of sync with the voice/narrative which seems like its coming from him alright, but just ....just out of sync.

    its very sinister and somewhat.....annoying.

why would somebody do this ?

OR....is this not deliberate and is this related to some technology , be it software or hardware ?

    • ANSWER:
they made the video but didn't edit it in wmm or other software
that can be edit to syn with video
like watching an old Godzilla movie huh lol

Atheists: 911 was an inside job, my proof is the movie Godzilla from the year 1998. Will you believe me?
Watch that 1 minute 38 second video for the proof I'm talking about.

    • ANSWER:
If you really want proof, the molten steel pulled out of ground zero by firefighters several weeks after 9/11 is the smoking gun, as everyone now knows it's impossible for jet fuel to melt steel.

The Lone Gunmen series was the clearest media evidence I saw, it covered the exact same scenario of the government allowing a terrorist attack on the WTC to start a war. I'm pretty sure they are "programming" people to scenarios, the major one being UFOs, we have been bombarded by UFO propaganda from all angles for 60 years.

EXPLOSION!now that i have your attention?
I want to make fun of TV series like law and order or shows i don't like and make it into a youtube series, can i get in trouble for this in any way? the MST3K crew got into trouble when they made fun of godzilla movies cause they weren't public domain. please use detail.

    • ANSWER:
If you were to produce an animation of two characters, or more, such as Mark Greenway and Michael Lucas parodying Max Greevey and Mike Logan (two main "Law And Order" characters), then no, you would not get into trouble.

If you were to produce a video using footage 'copied and pasted' from "Law And Order" and advertise on your channel, then yes, you would be infringing on copyright law.

Does anyone know the name of the godzilla song by Jamiriquai (JK)?

Have you seen the trailer before Transformers? Is it Godzilla?
Ok, I have read the "theories". I also read the articles about it being called cloverfield. If this is the next Godzilla movie, is it going to be the American or Japanese Godzilla? Because the American Godzilla was pretty stupid. I was a big Godzilla fan, and when i saw it, I say Godzilla right away, but after watching it again on YouTube Im starting to have doubts. What do you guys think?

    • ANSWER:
the initial title for the J.J. Abrams film is called Cloverfield - pretty sure that that's going to change. Nothing is being said on the film and what the monster really is...therefore it might not even be Godzilla. Besides the plot outline only reveals this: Revolves around a monster attack in New York as told from the point of view of a small group of people.

Knowing J.J.'s storylines - it could be anything at this point, and he'll keep it under wraps until it releases
