  7. QUESTION:
When is the next planned DVD release of Disney's Cinderella?
I've heard that Disney re-releases their movies every 7 years or so. I want Cinderella, but if there is a new version with new special features, new music videos, and new material, I would like to wait for that one. Does anyone know when the next planned release of Cinderella is?

    • ANSWER:
The last release of Cinderella was in 2005, and then it went back into the Disney Vault. Movies are re-released every 7-10 years so one could estimate that Cinderella will be back on the market in 2012 at the earliest.

The 2005 release included a lot of new features, and a 2nd special edition disc. That disc includes unreleased songs like ""Cinderella's Work Song" and "Dancing on a Cloud." There is also a 15 minute segment about the main artist on the film, Mary Blair. There are also radio promo's, theatrical trailers, and tributes to many others who worked on the film.

I can't imagine a future release offering more than this one. I would think you are safe to order this current version. Try Amazon, there are a lot of users selling new copies.

  8. QUESTION:
How long does it take for movies to get from the movies to DVD?

  9. QUESTION:
When is the next Percy Jackson movie expected to come out?
i heard that Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Sea of Monsters was supposed to be released in theaters sometime in 2012. I also heard it's not even going to be made, so im kinda confused.

    • ANSWER:
LOL We've all heard those things. To get things straight, they don't even know if there is going to be one yet. I work for one of the PJO fansites that is connected to Rick Riordan and othere ppl who know these things (Blue Trident). The owner of the site asked Rick and he said he has no connections with the movie what so ever. Anyways, I also heard that it will depend on the DVD sales to see if there will actually be a second movie. I think they didn't make enough from the theater release. But, I don't see how they are going to make the Sea of Monsters work without having to change important details and without making more fans a little angry or upset. Sorry if this isn't the answer you're looking for!!!

  10. QUESTION:
Why is there no subbed version of the new movie "Prince of tennis - the battle of the British city" available?
As far as i know, the movie was released in September 2011 and the DVD was supposed to come out sometime in March 2012. Generally the movie is subbed after the DVD/blue rays are out, so how come this one is taking so much time?
I can't seem to find the subbed version anywhere online.

It hasn't been dubbed yet. Most of the time the movies are not dubbed. You will have to put up with the subbes if you want to watch it. Only the more popular series, like DBZ, Bleach, Fullmetal Alchemist, get dubbed.

  12. QUESTION:
Is it true that they are making a Back to The Future Sequel?
From what I read online the basic storyline is that the flux capacitor is what gives Marty Parkinsons disease and in the future they find the cure but need to bring it back to 1985. I think its cool that Michael J Fox can find a way to still act with his disease and even use it in the storyline. I have seen that its supposed to be released in 2012. Can anyone confirm this?

    • ANSWER:
As far as i know there isnt any more movies in the plans. If you watch the DVD version they took off the caption "To be continued..." that was added on VHS.

I havent seen anything recently on the movie. Looks like the was rumors in 2001. But i dont see anything confirmed for another movie. Unless if they decided to do a remake of this movie like they are doing all the other movies that came out in the last 20 years.

In 2005 Michael J. Fox was in talks of making another movie where he wanted to play as Marty but he would be more like the Doc. Here is the link to that article.

  13. QUESTION:
When was the last time The Lion King been shown on tv?
I don't get it. The last I saw it was on ABC,and that was over ten years ago. Is Disney planning to show it next year since their movies usually premiere on television after releasing the special edition Bluray and DVD?

    • ANSWER:
Disney re-release there DVD'S every ten years, this way they get a new cycle of 3-13 year olds every 10 years.

They don't show there movies on TV because they have to make money, if they show their Movies on TV, then their DVD sales will be down.

      Disney is a Business.

      1994 - Lion King released in cinema's
1994/1995 - Lion King first release on VHS
2002 - The film was re-issued on January 1, 2002 for IMAX and large-format theaters,
2003 - Second release - October 7, 2003, the film was re-released on VHS and DVD
      2011 - shown in cinema's again
      2011/2012 - Third Release - released on DVD/Blu Ray/3D

So you can be sure, their will be a Directors cut, or an extended edition released on Blu Ray in about 2020.

Disney Films are hardly ever on TV, except the really old films.

  15. QUESTION:
Is Lucas Arts going to make any more Star Wars movies?
I think all of the star wars movies are great, but what happens after Luke save the galaxy?? Some people would like to know. I have read stories of him and Leia getting getting married and having kids but i don't like to read books i want to watch it in a action film.

    • ANSWER:
Unfortunately no amount of "waiting, or kicking back, or being patient" will change the facts. The fact is that there will NOT be anymore live action Star Wars movies ... anyone who says differently is so full of it that it is pouring out of their ears. I wouldn't be surprised to see some of the book series come out in an animated form, doubt it will be to theaters more likely direct to DVD things, but there will not be anymore live action movies.

We all know that Lucas has the ability to change his mind with the direction of the wind but in this case I think we can believe him. In the years since the release of ep III Lucas has been asked two questions over and over and over and over again ... first, will he ever make anymore Star Wars movies and will he allow someone else to pick up where he left off. For the past four years the answer to those two questions has never changed ... NO ... and ... NO ... that's about as close to written in stone as you can get from Lucas. It only came to light last year but shortly after the release of ep III Lucas made a "minor" change to his Will. Everybody still gets all the same "stuff" BUT it has a condition to it now ... if any one of them ever allows anyone to make more movies or remake the ones already done everybody looses everything. We are talking millions and millions of dollars here ... do you really think they will risk it ... neither do I.

I do have to say that this is the first time I've ever seen anybody "witching" about Luke and Mara getting married ... personally I thought they were the perfect couple.

The future of Star Wars is animation ... the current series is running full steam ahead and will be around for a long time ... the live action TV series set in between ep III and ep IV is on track to debut in the fall of 2010 ... Lucas is still looking at the target date of 2012 to bring all 6 movies back to theaters in a true 3-D format. There's a ton of stuff that will be going on in the Star Wars world but none of that stuff will be new movies ... ticks me off too but George owns it all lock stock and barrel and what he says goes.

May The Force Be With You ...

EDIT: To "Boba Fett": Not really ... lol ... keeps my point total up. Now the "reboot" Star Wars questions ... hell hath no fury like an old school fan having his memories messed with ...

EDIT 2: Unless Lucas changes his mind ... then I'll be just another idiot who took him at his word and got hosed again ... I think might have to grab my toy lightsabres and go have a "talk" with the man if he does that ... lol ... but only after he's done making the new movies of course.

  28. QUESTION:
What is the difference between Fullmetal Alchemist and Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood?
Is brotherhood a follow up to FMA? I've nearly finished watching FMA and was thinking of going on to brotherhood afterwards. I've been told that it follows the plot of the manga instead of spiraling off like FMA. No spoilers please.

    • ANSWER:
The whole FMA vs. FMA:B is a little complicated, so please let me explain:

Fullmetal Alchemist is often called the "original series" by fans, or FMA1. When it went into production, it was following the manga, but the author told the producers that she didn't want the anime to follow the same plot of the manga, as it would spoil readers because the manga wasn't close to being complete. Respecting her wishes, the show started out very similar to the manga (with significant changes) but ended up splitting completely (plot wise, character wise, theory wise, belief wise...) from its origin, and has a completely different ending, which is concluded by Conquer of Shambala. After that movie, there a few OVAs (original video animations), that are like little shorts that follow after the movie, but then the series ends there.

In case you haven't read it, (I couldn't tell from your description) the manga is very popular and greatly-praised, and fans of the manga were really disappointed in all of the changes made in FMA1. By extreme popular demand, the TV series Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood was made, which is very, very faithful to the manga. Both shows are very different from one another, although they start out similarly. Just to make sure you understand, Brotherhood isn't a continuation of FMA1 and doesn't follow the same story, but is rather a retelling of the story by accurately following the manga. While it may at first seem a little shallower than FMA1, this is because FMA:B really skims through the first 10 - 15 episodes because they are material that have already been covered by FMA1, and they didn't want FMA:B to seem like the same exact show; also, they wanted to get into the new material quicker.

If you are a fan of the original series, I STRONGLY recommend you read the manga (if you haven't already) and watch Brotherhood. You will love it more. I got into the manga from watching FMA1, and while I thought that was a really great (amazing) show that i loved, i love the manga x10 more, and I recommend that you watch FMAB as well! Brotherhood overall has very different, but vastly smoother and improved animation, though it takes a bit of time to get used to. There are mostly the same voice actors (i'm talking about the english dub cast) although Alphonse and Scar and some other minor people got replacements, although the new actors really warm up in a few episodes, and its hard to imagine the old people. FMA:Brotherhood is amazing, but again, nothing beats the original source.

Brotherhood has concluded at 64 episodes (as opposed to the original series' 51 episodes), and has ended with the same ending as the manga. A movie that takes place in the middle of the series (entitled Fullmetal Alchemist: The Sacred Star of Milos) has been released in Japan and will make its way online subbed soon; funimation is releasing a dubbed version to theaters in early 2012, and a DVD will be released in spring 2012.

      For your viewing pleasure:

      the FMA manga: http://www.mangareader.net/116-5187-1/full-metal-alchemist/chapter-1.html
[the BIBLE of FMA. If you read this, you need to forget all you know of the first series (as i suggest you read the manga after watching the first series)] as always, its better to support the artist and buy the volumes rather than reading them online..but here's the link to read online anyway. enjoy :)

      watch FMA1 (English: 51 episodes dubbed/ 51 subbed): http://www.animefreak.tv/watch/full-metal-alchemist-english-dubbed-online-free

      watch FMA:Brotherhood (English: 64 episodes dubbed/ 64 episodes subbed): http://www.animefreak.tv/watch/fullmetal-alchemist-brotherhood-english-dubbed-online-free
[but seriously, i recommend reading the manga before you watch Brotherhood. you won't be sorry!]

Since you've already seen the original series, I recommend you experience the series like so:
      FMA1 ---> Conqueror of Shamballa ---> OVAs ---> Manga ---> FMA:B ----> OVAs ---> Sacred Star of Milos.

I hope this helped you, enjoy the series and the links!

  31. QUESTION:
What was the movie "American Pie" about and how popular in the USA and how about in Britain?

shortly what was this movie series about and how good and funny? and why?

how popular and when? how about in Britain and WHY?

what was the name about too? why named this way?

    • ANSWER:
American Pie is a 1999 teen comedy film written by Adam Herz. American Pie was the directorial film debut of brothers Paul and Chris Weitz, and the first film in the American Pie film series. The film was a box-office hit and spawned three direct sequels: American Pie 2 (2001), American Wedding (2003) and American Reunion (2012). The film concentrates on four boys who make a pact to lose their virginity before their high school graduation. The title is borrowed from the folk song of the same name and refers to a scene in the film, in which the lead character is caught masturbating with a pie after being previously told that third base feels like "warm apple pie". It's also been stated by writer Adam Herz that the title also refers to the quest of losing your virginity in high school, which is as "American as apple pie."

Since the conclusion of the American Pie trilogy, featuring the courtship and marriage of the characters Jim Levenstein and Michelle Flaherty, the American Pie name has gone on to be used as an entity similar to the National Lampoon film series. American Pie has spawned four direct-to-DVD spin-off films bearing the title American Pie Presents: Band Camp (2005), The Naked Mile (2006), Beta House (2007) and The Book of Love (December 2009). A fourth theatrical release in the series, entitled American Reunion, was released on April 6, 2012.

In the UK it has been very popular, I do not know one person who hasnt heard of it or watched it. It has proved to be popular amongst most teens in the UK.

  32. QUESTION:
Why is Girl in Progress going to be in theatres twice?
I was just in IMDB, and it said Girl in Progress was coming out in May 11th,2012 (which obviously passed) but then it said its going to be in theatres August 10, 2012. Im confused, could someone explain?

    • ANSWER:
GIRL IN PROGRESS opened in only a few theaters on May 11,2012. No one went to see it - so instead of opening in MORE theaters the studio pulled the movie from circulation.

It is NOT being re-played in August -but is released on DVD on September 11th.
If you check IMDB again the August release listed was for BULGARIA,

  33. QUESTION:
What's up with Netfilix splitting up and losing customers?
I was just about to join them but i hear customers are fleeing and they're splitting up.

Is this a bad time to join?

    • ANSWER:
The CEO is afraid of missing shifts in technology, which is fine, but many think he's gone way too far the other way.

Netflix is splitting into two. Netflix will remain as the name of the streaming-only service. The DVD service will be split off under the name Kwikster.

While the future may really be in streaming, here's the problems right now:

1: The majority of Americans don't have a broadband connection capable of supporting a streamed TV show, let alone, a movie in HD. In fact, a good portion of Americans don't even have broadband at all.

2: Netflix's streaming library is fairly small compared to their DVD library, and fairly unpredictable. They're in constant battles over rights for shows and movies. Most notably is their deal with Starz, which will expire in February of 2012. Unless this is renewed, which is looking very shaky right now, fans of Netflix's streaming service will lose access to several big studios' titles - including Disney.

3: As a streaming-only service, Netflix was a tough sell when compared to things like Hulu (free on PCs), Hulu Plus (/mo), HBO-To-Go, and even up and coming services from Comcast/Xfinity, DirecTV, and DishNetwork.

4: As a DVD-only service, Kwikster faces tough competition from Redbox, whose /disc/night price is awfully tough to beat.

The old combined Netflix service made sense. It kept the old DVD customers around while the streaming library came up to speed. At some point, yes, this split makes sense, but honestly, this isn't the time - especially in light of the recent 60% price hike in the middle of a recession.

Furthermore, the CEO's attitude about physical media in general is way off target. DVD is going to be around at least another decade, and while I doubt blu-ray will ever overtake DVD, I don't see it going away any time either.

It remains to be seen how this 2-sites, 1-company thing is going to work. Right now it sounds like customers who want both Netflix(streaming) and Kwikster(DVDs) will now see 2 separate charges on their credit cards, and will need to manage 2 separate accounts...and 2 separate queues? So does that mean if I wanted to stream a show from Netflix, only to find out it's not available, I'll have to hop over to Kwikster and add it to my queue over there? Talk about inconvenient.

At the same time, there was mention that Kwikster would be (FINALLY!) adding video games to its library. No information about pricing or what sorts of games are going to be available has been released yet. Honestly, the best move for Kwikster would be to just outright buy Gamefly.

Realistically this isn't the time to join. There's way too much shakiness right now, and at least for the meantime, there are equally good, if not better, alternatives for DVD-only or Streaming-only services. I'd wait 6 months for this split to occur and for them to shake out the inevitable bugs that are going to arise when they try to split their customer database. Trust me, you don't need the extra headaches.

The only software I have is called 'Windows DVD Maker' but it doesn't recognise the video file format (which is .mov). I know that windows movie maker can convert this format to WMV. but I don't have Windows Movie Maker. What's a good FREE programme to use? Thanks

    • ANSWER:
How about three very good freeware video editor programs, Freemake, FileLab, or VSDC? Each is safe, fully functioning, no watermarks, will not ask for money, and are recent releases that are HD capable.

      VSDC Example

      FileLab Example:

      Freemake Example:

They are listed in order of increasing capabilities. Freemake provides merging of video clips, and simple editing such as cutting and splicing. It will also automatically upload your video to YouTube if desired. It is also capable of converting your video to just about any video format in existence. FileLab has much more features, such as color correction, title editor, and special effects. FileLab also runs on both PC's and Macs (no-kidding)! VSDC is an advanced editor, capable of effects such as green screen editing. The following link has more info, but make sure to also view other articles on this site, as they outline other capabilities of these three programs.:

  40. QUESTION:
Does anyone remember the late 80s teen cop show 21 Jumpstreet?
If yes who was your favorite character? Mines was Doug Penhall (since actor Peter DeLuise is Italian lol) but Tom Hanson was the hotter one ( since "younger" Johnny Depp was fine) I purchased the first 4 seasons on DVD. The quality looks a bit faded & at night scenes its pitch black, but other then that awesome show.

    • ANSWER:
Of course its tom hanson! I was obsessed! There's nothing like that show anymore! Did you know there is a movie called 21 Jumpstreet. NOTHING like the tv show! It's gonna be released in 2012. With channing Tatum. Johnny Depp would not be happy!

  41. QUESTION:
When is The Inbetweeners Movie coming out on DVD?
When is The Inbetweeners Movie coming out on DVD?

    • ANSWER:
You'll have to wait some time after it's released before the release date is confirmed for DVD. I've been checking back at Amazon.co.uk, and there is no official DVD release yet, you'll have to wait, but don't worry i imagine it will be soon. I'm guessing, December 2011 or January 2012, or something like that.

  42. QUESTION:
Is there a Star Wars DVD 6 pack including all six movies?
I've been looking everyone and can't seem to find out if there is a 6 pack of the DVDs. Does anyone know where I could find it?

    • ANSWER:
Not yet ... and it may be a while before they are put out in a "Saga Set". Summer of 2012 is the date that is reported most often ... it makes sense in a way because that is the target date that Lucas has set for sending all 6 movies back to theaters in a true 3-D format ... it is also the 35th anniversary of the release of Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope.

If any of the reports are true it won't be a 6 disk set ... it's going to be a 12 disk set. Haven't heard much about it but it's something to keep an eye on.

Anime DVD would be released in last week of April 2013 (most likely 25th April 2013), subbed version would be uploaded with in two or three days but dubbing man that would take like a year or more cause The Third movie : Inheritors of the Will of Fire is set to be released in October 2012 so by taking a movie in a year in the account then the dubbed version of 6th movie would be release in 2015.

  45. QUESTION:
Are they making a seventh Star Wars movie?
I was looking up copies of Clone Wars scripts, and I saw a site that, when I clicked on it, said that there's going to be a seventh movie. Is this true or not?

    • ANSWER:
Depends on what you mean by "7th movie" ... if you mean another live-action movie ... not a single chance in hell ... if you're talking about an animated movie ... yes, that was out last summer.

There are no plans to make anymore movies at all be they animated or live action. You don't say what site it was that you saw this on but if it was supershadow.com then you've been "punked" by the biggest Star Wars fraud on the net ... there is very little on that site that even comes close to being true. The guy who runs the site, Mickey Suttle, is about 5 1/2 cans short of a 6 pack.

That being said I think that there will be more animated movies made based on the books of the Star Wars EU (Expanded Universe) ... I just don't see them going to theaters ... more likely is direct to DVD projects.

The Clone Wars animated series that debuted last fall pretty much broke every "record" that the Cartoon Network had in regards to ratings ... its smashing success means that the series will probably have a long run ... at least another 4 or 5 years but it could, given all the untold stories of the Clone Wars, run even longer than that. Lucas is also working on a live action TV series and has confirmed that the target date for this show to begin is the fall of 2010 on either TBS or TNT. This show will be set in between ep III and ep IV. It will NOT feature the main characters of the story ... it will focus on all the unseen people who formed the Rebel Alliance and their early battles against the Empire leading up to the events of ep IV. Lucas has said many times that no matter what this show WILL run for at least 100 episodes.

Someone else mentioned a re-release of the movies to theaters. This has been confirmed by Lucas in an article in Entertainment Weekly. He has people hard at work converting the movies into a true 3-D format ... the target date for this to happen is summer 2012 ... the 35 year anniversary of the release of ep IV in 1977. Other than the 3-D thing Lucas has said many times that nothing will be changed in either the prequel movies or the Original Trilogy movies HOWEVER ... as has been said, big time rumors with a little bit of weight behind them say that Lucas is thinking of replacing the puppet version of Yoda in ep I with a CGI character. IMHO that would actually be a good thing but Lucas hasn't confirmed it so until then we just have to wait.

  46. QUESTION:
Where can I watch Fairy Tail English Dubbed episodes 49 and up?
I specifically want the english dubbed versions with the voice actor Todd Haberkorn as Natsu Dragneel. I'm used to his voice as well as the others in the dub and the show I watched them on doesn't have episode 49 and over. I looked for others but the dubs voices are all wrong and weird. Please help I'm addicted.

    • ANSWER:
I don't know where sonic got his information from, but it's completely inaccurate. Funimation has already acquired the rights for Fairy Tail season 2 and the FT movie and I'm sure they're in the middle of dubbing it as we speak. You'll probably have to wait another year or so before they start releasing them on DVD, however.

  49. QUESTION:
After Wicked is done on Broadway, will it come out on video?
I know it is illegal to tape the play but after it stops showing will they make a dvd?

    • ANSWER:
Well firstly, I hope they don't wait for it to close on Broadway! Because we might be waiting even longer then! 7 1/2 years and counting! Also, there are other productions going on around the USA and all over the world, and I think it will be a great many more years until there isn't a single profession production of Wicked onstage. I also don't know that a film of the show would deter people from seeing it - people still see Phantom of the Opera, Cats, Hairspray, Into The Woods...all the musicals that have been made into movies. But yes, there are plans for a movie in the works. However, nobody's sure what the release date will be - we've heard 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015 as possible release dates. It's also unknown whether they will film a movie of it (like they did for Hairspray) or if they will (hopefully!) film a live performance (like they did for Cats).

Edit: I forgot to mention, the BBC and Salma Hayek are currently producing an 8 hour miniseries based on the Gregory Maguire book.

  50. QUESTION:
When does the movie Pitch Perfect come on Netflix?
I want to see pitch perfect soooo bad! Does anyone know when it comes to Netflix?

    • ANSWER:
This is a bit complicated but generally for what are considered top earners or popular films it is 9 months to 1 year after the theatrical release date. "Perfect Pitch" was released in September of 2012 so the earliest would be next May. But these numbers are not written in stone it also depends on how well the DVD sells and how well the DVD is rented.

To start with Universal which owns "Perfect Pitch" release the DVD.

Then they require that Netflix wait one month before offering the DVD to be rented. This would be at the end of Jan 2013.

Then they require that Netflix only offer renting for 4 to 6 months before they are allowed to offer it for streaming. It is that 4 to 6 months where things get tricky. If the industry shows a massive slow down in DVD sales and DVD rentals then Netflix will be allowed to offer it for streaming sooner but most likely that won't happen. So an educated guess is May of 2013 for streaming.
