Why is the hobbit film being released so late?
On Wikipedia it says filming ended December of 2011 but it is going to be released December 2012,why is this so?

    • ANSWER:
FILMING ended December of 2011. There is a whole lot more to making a movie than filming it. Peter Jackson has made movies of this scale before, and he spent a year in post production for each LotR. He knows what he is doing, and he knows how long it will take.

Are they making a movie for The Hunger Games trilogy and The Mortal Instruments Trilogy?
I have read both series and they are extrodinary. I have heard rumours that they might be making movies for them. I have heard these rumours more so for The Hunger Games... Lol i think it would be awsome if they made the books into movies.

    • ANSWER:
The Mortal Instruments will come out February 2011 next year although I'm not so sure anymore 'cause I can't find the site where I found it but I'm pretty sure it's next year. According to Wikipedia, Lily Collins will be role-playing for Clary Fray.

As for The Hunger Games, it will be released sometime in March 2012.

Does Disney have a schedule for when they release movies from the vault?
Is there a set amount of years/time from when they lock it up that they re-release it?
I'm specifically looking for when The Lion King and The Lady and the Tramp come out again.

    • ANSWER:
Wikipedia says they used to do it every 7 years, but now does it every 10 years on some movies. The second linc is to a list showing the dates movies are coming out. This really sucks. With a ten year window, some kids are going to "miss" some movies. Somebody needs to slap Disney up side the head for this!

EDIT: according to the website, The Lion King was discontinued in 2005 so presumably it will be rereleased in 2012 at the earliest. according to the website, The Lady and the Tramp was just discontinued in 2007 (I managed to pick that one up before they did it.). So it won't be out until 2014 at the earliest. The site didn't give dates for either so it isn't anytime in the near future.

Why did I not hear most of the songs from the Hunger Games soundtrack in the actual movie?
The only song I actually heard in the movie was "Abraham's Daughter" during the end credits... I realize there wasn't too much soundtrack to the movie, but why did they release a bunch of songs that are just sort of souveniers to the movie and not the actual music that was in the movie? Or did I just miss it?
So where can I buy the ACTUAL music that they used? Aka, the songs without words that help create the suspense/emotion of the movie.

    • ANSWER:
The songs on the soundtrack were not in the movie except for a couple of songs being played during the end credits. To me, it seems like the songs on the soundtrack were inspired by the book/movie. The soundtrack is called The Hunger Games: Songs from District 12 and Beyond.
The "Actual music" that they use is going to be a different CD called The Hunger Games: Original Motion Picture Score. It's going to be released on March 26, 2012, according to Wikipedia and Amazon.

When will the next trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man be released?
I keep hearing it might be around Christmas, and I just saw they released a new poster. Since it comes out in July can you estimate when a new trailer might come out? The Dark Knight's trailer came out in December 07 when it was released in July 08, so do you think it's reasonable that they would release an actual movie trailer this month?

    • ANSWER:
I'd estimate around Boxing Day, that period of time. They usually amp up the promotional material 6-ish months before the release.
I couldnt find any other extra info. I just hope they don't stuff up the movie

Does anyone know anything about the new disney movie called Brave?
I've seen previews in theatres but I want to know more.

    • ANSWER:
Brave is a 2012 film. It's an upcoming American 3D computer-animated fantasy adventure film. In the film, the skilled archer Merida (voiced by Kelly Macdonald) defies an age-old custom, unleashing chaos in the kingdom. After consulting a wise old woman (voiced by Julie Walters) for help, she becomes cursed and is forced to undo the spell before it is too late.

The movie is being produced by Pixar Animation Studios, making this their thirteenth feature film, and will be released by Walt Disney Pictures. It was written by Brenda Chapman and Irene Mecchi, and it is being directed by Mark Andrews, who took over from Chapman. The film is scheduled for release on June 22, 2012 in the United States.

The synopsis of the film reads: "Since ancient times, stories of epic battles and mystical legends have been passed through the generations across the rugged and mysterious Highlands of Scotland. In Brave, a new tale joins the lore when the courageous Merida (Kelly Macdonald) confronts tradition, destiny and the fiercest of beasts. Merida is a skilled archer and impetuous daughter of King Fergus (Billy Connolly) and Queen Elinor (Emma Thompson). Determined to carve her own path in life, Merida defies an age-old custom sacred to the uproarious lords of the land: massive Lord MacGuffin (Kevin McKidd), surly Lord Macintosh (Craig Ferguson) and cantankerous Lord Dingwall (Robbie Coltrane). Merida’s actions inadvertently unleash chaos and fury in the kingdom, and when she turns to an eccentric old Witch (Julie Walters) for help, she is granted an ill-fated wish. The ensuing peril forces Merida to discover the meaning of true bravery in order to undo a beastly curse before it’s too late."

What happend to 30 seconds to mars 4th Album?
I was so Excited because They had a new album Coming out in 2013 But know Wikipedia say there isn't one so is there on or isn't there one coming out?

    • ANSWER:
Be glad that they ARE working on a 4th album - last year, incorrect & misleading rumors had some people thinking they were breaking up, when in fact, all they were doing was taking a break (see below for more details). In the spring of last year (April 2012), 30 Seconds To Mars did announce that they were in fact working on a 4th album. They said it would be a 'a dramatic departure' and 'more evolved' from all their other albums and that they were just narrowing down the song choices to make up the track list for the album (Jared stated that they had somewhere between 40-50 songs from which they were working from) . And just recently (November 2012), 30STM announced that they were trying to have the album ready to be released in the first half of this year (2013) - so that could put the release as late as June.

But, here's something important to remember when it comes to 30STM: things are rarely black and white with them.

Be hopeful, but at the same time, don't hold your breath - though they have announced a possible window of time for the release of their new album - remember this: it will come out when it comes out.

A good example of this is something that happened several years ago: when asked about the impending release of their ' A Beautiful Lie' album, Jared kept saying it was coming out 'soon'. Fans became aggravated when he repeatedly said this and still no album was released ' soon', rather it was more like years. Though in the end, I think that the fans' aggravation was short lived because 'A Beautiful Lie' was a killer album that was well worth the wait :)

Some other things to take into consideration:
As of December 2011, 30 Seconds To Mars wrapped up a Guinness World Record breaking tour which they called Mars 300 (309 shows over two years - the longest tour for a band with the most venues for the single cycle of an album).

They announced (this was at end of 2011) that they would be taking a break after the tour for an undetermined amount of time and even jested at one point that the break could be for as long ten years. Add to this the fact that they also were unsure when and if they would come out with another album - and rumors began to fly that the band was breaking up - but this was misconstrued and thankfully false.

Throughout their extensive tour, the band members were away from home (friends and family) and had many bouts with illnesses. So, it was probably safe to presume that the band was exhausted, home sick and was taking some well deserved time off. I also conjectured & posted @ that time (run Echelon page on Facebook) that the band members probably wanted to get caught up on other aspects of their lives - such as Jared's acting. And as it happens, not long ago, Jared wrapped up working in his first movie after a 4 year hiatus from acting in movies (he did act/work on their music videos such as 'This Is War', 'Hurricane' & 'Kings And Queens').
Jared went through a dramatic weight loss for his role in this movie - 'Dallas Buyers' Club'
These things might have some effect on the albums production timeline and its release, as well as determining how many shows and which venues they choose to do at this time. Right now they are doing some venues in Europe, but have made no announcements as to any upcoming U.S. shows.

Make sure to join their official website and all its links (Facebook, MySpace, etc). You will get the latest updates on all Mars news - being linked to the Hive, The Pantheon, and joining Echelon groups (like mine) is the best way to get all breaking news - such as album release dates, shows, upcoming VyRt webcasts, etc. Signing up for their Twitter is very important too - often they announce things on Twitter first. Their official website and all its links can be found @

Is David Fincher really directing a movie based off Orwell's "1984"?

Why is there going to be a new Spiderman/Peter Parker actor in Spiderman 4?
In 2012 the new spiderman movie is coming. Spiderman 4. But this time Peter Parker and Spiderman is acted by Andrew Garfield.
Why is Tobey Maguire (the actor of Peter Parker / Spiderman in the first 3 movies) getting replaced by this guy? I've been searching around, but I can't find a given reason for this.

I hope someone here can tell me

    • ANSWER:
Originally, they planned to make a Spiderman 4 movie, the continuation of the story of the previous film. But it had been cancelled due to Sam Raimi's (director) withdrawal from the project. Raimi reportedly ended his participation due to his doubt that he could meet the planned May 6, 2011 release date while at the same time upholding the film creatively.

Sony announced that the franchise will in turn be rebooted with new director Marc Webb and a new cast which includes Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker, Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy and Rhys Ifans as Dr. Curt Connors. The reboot's intention is to have Peter Parker back to developing his abilities in high school. The new movie will be entitled "The Amazing Spiderman" and it is scheduled to be released in 3-D on July 3, 2012.

      This is what Wikipedia said:

Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions acquired this film's worldwide distribution rights,[3] and will open the film on April 6th 2012 in Limited Theaters

Is the world really ending december 21 2012?
Everywhere i go i hear about this and the more i hear about it the more it scares me. Please tell me tgis is a hoax! Would there be any signs?

    • ANSWER:
No evidence for it at all.

There are a few hoaxes going the rounds, particularly the one about three days of darkness - that is just a complete hoax where surely the author of the email didn't believe it either.

Others though are by people who do honestly believe what they say - but on the basis of absolutely no evidence at all, just believing stories that were made up by others with little or no understanding of astronomy or science.

The so called astronomy doesn't make any sense to an astronomer. All that astronomers predict is a winter solstice. These happen every year, the shortest period of daylight of the year in the Northern Hemisphere. There is a rough alignment of the Sun with the center of the galaxy - this happens every year as well. There are no other alignments predicted, no strange planets, no reason to expect a solar flare particularly - no evidence for any of the other things that people say.

The Mayans were quite good at astronomy for a civilization without telescopes using only naked eye observations - but no better than other astronomers of their time - and are no match in astronomical predictions for our modern telescopes, computers and so on.

For that matter they didn't even predict any astronomical events either, apart obviously for the winter solstice. The consensus amongst most Mayan scholars is that it would be a time of celebration for them. Also they refer to dates way into our future - not the sort of thing you would do if you thought the world would end.

For that matter the Mayan calender only makes sense if you believe that the start date of the calender is significant. The start date of their calender is the date that they believed that the Mayan gods created the world. If you don't believe that, then no reason to pay any attention to this particular anniversary of the creation of the world either.

Most of this dates back to the 2012 movie (released in 2009) which is about as believable as an Indian Jones movie. Many people sadly took it seriously rather than just entertainment, and got really worried by this movie.

Here is a nice quote from Dara O-Brien (a UK comedian with a degree in science and an entertainingly pithy way of saying things) about the neutrino mutating part of the story in the movie, which is the key "science" explaining the catastrophe in the actual movie itself:

The concept being that "entire cities tilt and fall into lava" while the only explanation on offer is the single line "the neutrinos have mutated". The science of this, Ó Briain points out, being equivalent to saying that "the electrons are angry" or "the light from the sun has gone off."

Is the world going to end on 21st Decemeber 2012?
It is really scaring me this whole the world is going to end thing!

    • ANSWER:
No, there is not a shred of evidence for any of the things people say, no truth at all. It is all just stories, and shows how easily human beings can fall for impressive sounding stories.

The Mayans didn't make any astronomical predictions for this date, also they have dates in their calender way in our future so couldn't have thought of it as the end of the world either.

The so-called astronomy makes no sense to an astronomer. For instance, yes there is an alignment of the sun with the centre of the galaxy - approximately - but it happens every year at this time. The sun isn't passing through the galactic plane right now - it did that 3 million years ago and is due to do it next about 30 or 40 million years from now.

There are no planetary alignments at all. There is absolutely no evidence of a mysterious extra planet invading our solar system and any of the hundreds of thousands of amateur astronomers would have easily spotted something like that just by the way it would change the orbits of other planets.

Amateur astronomers are out on every clear starry night around the world, with powerful telescopes - with CCD imaging they are highly sensitive some of them - as powerful as many of the professional telescopes of a couple of decades or so ago. They would immediately notice if any of the planets shifted even slightly from their predicted positions.

If there was a new planet, the effects would be noticed years ago most likely, certainly months ago and by now it would be a huge bright light in the sky, as bright as or brighter than the other planets, and the other planetary orbits would be shifted and the planets would no longer be where the astronomers expect them to be. That is simply not happening.

The stories only work for readers with no or minimal background understanding of astronomy and science

For that matter - why pay any attention to their calender anyway? It is only relevant if you believe in the start date of their calender - which is the date that the Mayans believe that their gods created the world, on 11th August 3114 BC.

Most of this scare dates back to the 2012 movie (released in 2009) which is about as believable as an Indian Jones movie. The marketing department for that film created fictional sites and started a whole viral campaign about the end of the world in 2012. Presumably they didn't really expect it to be taken seriously (at least I hope so!) - a similar campaign was used to promote Independence Day. The website they created for the campaign, where you could apply for a lottery ticket supposedly for a chance to survive the apocalypse has been taken down now and just redirects to the movie publicity site, thank goodness.

However sadly, their viral campaign was up for long enough to create panic, and many people took it very seriously rather than just entertainment, and got really worried by this movie, with some worried children writing to Nasa saying they were contemplating suicide. That's when Nasa realised how serious it was getting and put up their debunking website about it..

There are other things that could potentially be disastrous, but the Mayans couldn't predict them any more than we can, and they are so low probability that it is highly likely that it will be several million years before they happen, though it is pretty sure that something or other civilization threatening will happen some time in the next few hundred million years or so, and let's hope that by then we are able to do something about it. Certainly a few billion years from now we would be in deep trouble if we - or rather whatever we or our relatives evolve into - are still around on the Earth as the oceans will boil as the sun gets hotter.

So - there is something in it - astronomically - such things can happen. Just extremely unlikely to happen in the near future. There is enough of a possibility so that it is worth mapping all the NEOs (Near Earth Objects) to see if any are on course to impact Earth.

But - this Dec 21 2012 - it is just a story, all made up stuff, not even a shred of evidence for any of it. Like the game of Telephone or Chinese Whispers, more and more details get added as it gets repeated.

can someone explain when futurama has been cancled?
I know its happend a few times and is it renewed for a season next year?

    • ANSWER:
they just started another season of episodes...

Here's wikipedias info on the cancellation:

Groening and Cohen wanted Futurama to be shown at 8:30pm on Sunday, following The Simpsons. The Fox network disagreed, opting instead to show two episodes in the Sunday night lineup before moving the show to a regular time slot on Tuesday.[33] Beginning with its second broadcast season Futurama was again placed in the 8:30 Sunday spot,[34] but by mid-season the show was moved again, this time to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, its third position in under a year.[35]
Even by the fourth season Futurama was still being aired erratically.[36] This was parodied in the opening sequence of the last episode of Season 4 with a picture of Fry, Leela, and Bender captioned "See You On Some Other Channel." Due to being regularly pre-empted by sporting events, it became difficult to predict when new episodes would air. This erratic schedule resulted in Fox not airing several episodes that had been produced for seasons three and four, instead holding them over for a fifth broadcast season. Fox executives were also not supporters of the show.[37] Although Futurama was never officially cancelled, midway through the production of the fourth season, Fox decided to stop buying episodes of Futurama, letting it go out of production before the fall 2003 lineup.[38][39]

In 2005, Comedy Central acquired the syndication rights to Futurama.[40] During the negotiations, Comedy Central discussed the possibility of producing new episodes. In 2006, it was announced that four straight-to-DVD films would be produced, and later split into 16 episodes comprising a new season.[41] Since no new Futurama projects were in production at the time of release, the final movie release Into the Wild Green Yonder was designed to stand as the Futurama series finale. However, Groening had expressed a desire to continue the franchise in some form, including as a theatrical film.[42] In an interview with CNN, Groening said that "we have a great relationship with Comedy Central and we would love to do more episodes for them, but I don't know... We're having discussions and there is some enthusiasm but I can't tell if it's just me."[43]

In June, 2009, 20th Century Fox announced that Comedy Central had picked up the show for 26 new half-hour episodes that began airing on June 24, 2010.[44][45][46] The returning writing crew was smaller than the original crew.[47] It was originally announced that main voice actors West, DiMaggio, and Sagal would return as well, but on July 17, 2009, it was announced that a casting notice was posted to replace the entire cast when 20th Century Fox Television would not meet their salary demands.[48] The situation was later resolved, and the entire original voice-cast returned for the new episodes. The dispute had stopped the original actors from appearing on the Futurama panel for Comic-Con 2009, to the disappointment of fans.[49]

When Futurama aired June 24, 2010, on Comedy Central, it helped the network to its highest-rated night in 2010 and its highest-rated Thursday primetime in the network's history.[54] In March 2011, it was announced that Futurama has been renewed for a seventh season, consisting of at least 26 episodes, scheduled to air in 2012 and 2013.[5][6] The first episode of season 7 is set to premiere June 20, 2012 on Comedy Central.[55]

When is The Hobbit movie coming out does anybody know real date?
i googled it and the was to much old details on the hobbit i got confused

    • ANSWER:

The Hobbit: Part 1 (December 2011)
The Hobbit: Part 2 (December 2012)

"On late November 2009, Peter Jackson revealed that he anticipated that the script for The Hobbit would be finished by the beginning of 2010, delaying the start of production until the middle of that summer (several months later than previously anticipated). The announcement created doubts about whether the film would make its previously-announced released dates of December 2011 and December 2012. Jackson reiterated that no casting decisions have been made."

So the 2011 and 2012 dates aren't concrete, they're more like a guess. No real date yet.

What does the video and song mean to Chris brown : Don't judge me ?
I love the song and video but what does the video and song mean from Chris brown : don't judge me ?? Is it about love or what

    • ANSWER:
Lyrically, woman-beater Brown asks his lover to forgive him "for his past indiscretions" and "move on with the future." In the song, Brown encourages his lover that there is nothing going on between him and his ex-girlfriend as he sings, "You're hearing rumors about me / And you can't stomach the thought / Of someone touching my body / When you're so close to my heart / I won't deny what they saying / Because most of it is true / But it was all before I fell for you." He later declares "that he is a changed man who can now be trusted" as shown in the lines, "Take me as I am / Not who I was / I'll promise I'll be / The one that you can trust." During the chorus, Brown sings "So please don't judge me / and I won't judge you / because it could get ugly / before it gets beautiful." Mesfin Fekadu of the Associated Press noted that Brown "sings in his signature semi-high pitch", and critics speculated that the lyrics were about Brown's former relationships with Karrueche Tran and Barbadian recording artist Rihanna.

The accompanying music video for "Don't Judge Me" was directed by Colin Tilley and Brown, and was filmed in August 2012. On August 29, 2012 Brown released an image from the shoot, showing himself seated on the floor of an abandoned room in an unbuttoned jacket. On September 11, 2012 Brown released a similar image, tweeting, "'Don't Judge Me' video coming soon!". The ego-massaging video premiered on Vimeo on September 27, 2012. It begins with Brown walking through the desert, while intercut scenes of himself sitting in front of a couch (with his girlfriend, played by Runa Lucienne, sleeping behind him) are shown. As the chorus begins for the first time, Brown is seen catching a ride from an army truck. He eventually arrives at an army base to prepare for a "suicide mission", which involves him riding a spacecraft into outer space to save the world from an alien ship invading Earth. A news reporter at the base (Brown's girlfriend) runs to him with the question, "People are saying this is a suicide mission, why are you doing this?" Brown replies, "I'm doing a service for my country and my planet. If that means saving the people I love and I care about, then that's what I'll do." As the spacecraft takes off, tears run down Brown's face before the spacecraft crashes into the alien ship, killing him. Brown and his girlfriend are then shown, hugging on the couch.

JusMusic of Singersroom magazine praised the video, writing "This is definitely art at its finest!" A writer for Rap-Up described the video as "cinematic" and "emotional," while Billboard's Erika Ramirez called it an "emotional visual." Jasmine Grant of Juicy magazine noted that the video has a "futuristic soldier at war theme." Colin Greten of MTV's Rapfix agreed, writing that it "has a futuristic look and feel," and that fans would also cry as Brown "makes the ultimate sacrifice" to save the world. A reviewer on The Huffington Post compared Brown's character in the video to actor Bruce Willis in the 1998 film Armageddon, and wrote that "it's certainly memorable, and sure to send Chris Brown's fans – and huge army of critics – into a fresh flutter of support." Idolator's Sam Lansky wrote that "Brown is just as likable and subtle as ever in the video." He continued: "It's impressive to see that Breezy [...] continues to find opportunities to depict himself as a hero", when he makes headlines for the wrong reasons. A writer for Heat magazine stated that the video is "a mini disaster movie, complete with over-acting and melodramatic slow-motion shots."

When is Percy Jackson movie'The Sea of Monsters' scheduled to be released?

There is going to be another one, Logan Lerman (Percy) has signed for the net 3 movies

    • ANSWER:
I saw it on wikipedia a while ago and it said it was going to be released somewhere in 2012 but its not there anymore. Its probably still in production

      Segment from wiki:

Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief was a moderate success for Fox 2000, making about 6 million worldwide on a million budget (though most of that money came from overseas). The film was always intended to kick off a tentpole franchise for Fox 2000, so it’s not really surprising to hear that the studio is adapting the second book in author Rick Riordan’s five-volume series into a movie.

The LA Times’ 24 Frames has an insider claiming that Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Sea of Monsters is going into “active development,” and could even start shooting as soon as this summer.

In Riordan’s second book, Percy must save “Camp Half-Blood,” the safe haven where demigods are protected from evil by magic barriers. Someone has poisoned the barriers, so it’s up to Percy and his friends to venture into “The Sea of Monsters” to find the mythical Golden Fleece to save the camp.

The primary cast is expected to return for this next installment, with writing duo Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski handling the script.

Director Chris Columbus is not expected to return to direct Sea of Monsters, but will reportedly produce the film alongside Breaking Dawn producer, Karen Rosenfelt.

An open call for the role of Tyson is currently on ActorCast.

The movie would not be a sequel or prequel to the existing movie or television franchise and Joss Whedon would have no involvement in the project. None of the cast or characters from the television series would be featured."

Does the Mayan End-Time 2012 refer to our possibly entering the 5th dimension into eternity?
The Myan End-Time refers to the release of a bursting, twisting, uncoiling serpent of light residing in the constellation Sagittarius, rising out of the Mouth of God, the buldge in core of the Milky Way, striking the earth on the Winter Solstice, Dec. 21st, 2012. The shifting of our 4th dimension space-time perceptions of reality, by capturing our conscienceness, literally. The Bibical "rapture" is the experience of expanding one's sense of self into reality: the 5th dimension. How does this strike you? Ever hear of this as it pertains to the Myans?

    • ANSWER:
The "bulge in core of the Milky Way" is about 50,000 light years away. That means that whatever's coming had to leave a long, long time ago and, because of the way you describe it as a "serpent of light", already be visible. In fact, it would have been visible throughout our history.

The other responder had it right when he pointed out that the winter solstice is no more special than any other day. In fact, any position of the Earth in its orbit, and any position of the Sun in its path as it orbits the center of the galaxy, is only relevant if human beings say it is. From the viewpoint of anything else in the universe, what we consider relevant means nothing at all.

Also, the talk of 4th and 5th dimensions is not only beyond the ken of the Mayans - it's gibberish. We cannot enter a 5th dimension any more than we could enter a "length". One dimension does not make a place; it makes a direction. To transcend the existing 4 dimensions, we would have to enter ALL 5 or more, not one. In any case, if there is a 5th dimension to the universe, we are already in it, just as we are already in the 4 we know about.

What's going on here is that someone who wants to make a lot of money selling books and making movies has stretched the Biblical "rapture" and the Mayan legend to fit each other. In this way various media claiming the two mythologies are equivalent can be sold to a gullible population.

The Christians I know who believe in the "rapture" all attest that there is simply no way at all to know when that will happen. That rules out the Mayan prediction from their point of view.

You might want to learn something about the real Mayan calendar and the significance of the date 2012. It turns out they thought of it as a time of re-birth, not an "end-time".

Check this out and look at the section on "2012"

      Here's an excerpt:

"According to the Maya, there will be a baktun ending in 2012, a significant event being the end of a 13th 400 year period, BUT NOT THE END OF THE WORLD."

Note that they describe 4 and 5 WORLDS, not dimensions, and say that we are ALREADY living in the 5th world. Thus even if you believe their myth, we will not "enter the 5th dimension" because we are already there.

      Hmmmm. Sounds familiar, doesn't it?

When does the lion king one, 1 and a half, and 2 come out of the vault?
please only answer if you really know. when do the lion king movies come out of the disney vault?

    • ANSWER:
      according to wikipedia
A DVD boxed set of the three The Lion King films (in two-disc Special Edition formats) was released on December 6, 2004. In January 2005, the film, along with the sequels, went back into moratorium, but new and used copies still sell very well.

using the usual 7 year rule of movies being brought out of the vault, that would mean January of 2012 even though the 15th anniversery of the movie would be June of 2009.
hopefully they will honor the anniversery instead of making everyone wait the usual 7 years

Who out there knows if there's going to be a Batman 3,when and what info does anyone have on it?
Hi does anyone have any info on a Batman 3 movie( sequel to The Dark Knight )?

    • ANSWER:
      Wikipedia Below

On March 10, 2010, Nolan confirmed his involvement with a sequel and gave some information regarding the story. The next Batman film will be Nolan's last and a conclusion to the story. Nolan says, "Without getting into specifics, the key thing that makes the third film a great possibility for us is that we want to finish our story. And in viewing it as the finishing of a story rather than infinitely blowing up the balloon and expanding the story . . . I’m very excited about the end of the film, the conclusion, and what we’ve done with the characters. My brother has come up with some pretty exciting stuff. Unlike the comics, these things don’t go on forever in film and viewing it as a story with an end is useful. Viewing it as an ending, that sets you very much on the right track about the appropriate conclusion and the essence of what tale we’re telling. And it hearkens back to that priority of trying to find the reality in these fantastic stories. That’s what we do.” Nolan has also confirmed that Jonathan Nolan is writing the script and that the villain of the film “won't be Mr. Freeze. In April 2010, Warner Bros. announced the as-yet-untitled sequel will be released on July 20, 2012. The film will begin shooting in March 2011.

What are possible confounds of Morgan Spurlock's experiment in "Supersize Me"?

    • ANSWER:
Spurlock dined at McDonald's restaurants three times per day, eating every item on the chain's menu. Spurlock consumed an average of 20.92 megajoules or 5,000 kcal (the equivalent of 9.26 Big Macs) per day during the experiment.

As a result, the then-32-year-old Spurlock gained 24½ lbs. (11.1 kg), a 13% body mass increase, a cholesterol level of 230, and experienced mood swings, sexual dysfunction, and fat accumulation in his liver. It took Spurlock fourteen months to lose the weight gained from his experiment using a vegan diet supervised by his future wife, who was a chef specializing in vegan dishes and gourmet.

The reason for Spurlock's investigation was the increasing spread of obesity throughout U.S. society, which the Surgeon General has declared "epidemic," and the corresponding lawsuit brought against McDonald's on behalf of two overweight girls, who, it was alleged, became obese as a result of eating McDonald's food [Pelman v. McDonald's Corp., 237 F. Supp. 2d 512].[3] Spurlock points out that although the lawsuit against McDonald's failed (and subsequently many state legislatures have legislated against product liability actions against producers and distributors of "fast food"), much of the same criticism leveled against the tobacco companies applies to fast food franchises whose product is both physiologically addictive and physically harmful.[4][5]

An end text states that it took Spurlock 5 months to lose 20.1 pounds (9 kg) and another 9 months to lose the last 4.5 pounds (2 kg). His girlfriend Alexandra, now his wife, began supervising his recovery with her "detox diet," which became the basis for her book, The Great American Detox Diet.[9]
The movie ends with a rhetorical question, "Who do you want to see go first, you or them?" This is accompanied by a cartoon tombstone, which reads "Ronald McDonald (1954-2012)", which originally appeared in The Economist in an article addressing the ethics of marketing to children.[10]
A short epilogue was added to the film describing McDonald's discontinuation of the Super Size option six weeks after the movie's premiere, as well as its recent emphasis on healthier menu items such as salads, and the release of the new adult Happy Meal. However, the epilogue shows that the salads can contain even more calories than burgers, if the customer adds liberal amounts of cheese and dressing prior to consumption. McDonald's claimed that these changes had nothing to do with the film.
Super Size Me first premiered at the 2004 Sundance Film Festival, where Morgan Spurlock won the Grand Jury Prize for directing the film.[11] The film opened in the U.S. on May 7, 2004, and grossed a total of ,641,054 worldwide, making it the 12th highest-grossing documentary film of all time.[12] It was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Documentary but lost to the film Born into Brothels. Super Size Me received two thumbs up on At the Movies with Ebert and Roeper. The film overall received positive reviews from other critics, as well as movie-goers, and holds a 93% "Certified Fresh" rating on the film review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes.

Will V/H/S (2012 horror movie) get released in the UK and Ireland?
I've seen the trailer and it looks brilliant, not like any other film I've seen. I searched for it on Wikipedia and seen that so far its only getting released in the US and Argentina.

So I beg the question; will it get released in the UK and Ireland? Or anywhere else in Europe, for that matter?

    • ANSWER:
At the moment it appears like they have not confirmed a UK release, but I would imagine they are waiting to get feed back from the US release in October before deciding when and where to release it next. I would think if it is popular in the US we will get it atthe end of November.

Question regarding the Hoverboard in Back to the Future 2 (movie)?
in the Special edition of back to the Future 2 they talk in detail about the Hoverboard made by MATTEL, is the real Monty. It really does work, but when it 1st came out, a Parents Lobby Group banned it from going on sale. They deemed it to Dangerous for kids. But that was then, why carnt they release it now, after all, it is 2012, if People today in 2012 still think it's Dangerous. Then at least give it a Classification. You have to be over 18 years of age to Obtain it.

    • ANSWER:
Being a huge fan of the Back to the Future film series, I have seen the interviews and such contained on the DVDs. It is plausible (Though unconfirmed) that there may have been a "Hoverboard" based toy, but nothing so fantastic as we see in the film. The amount of electromagnetic power needed to suspend a human rider (weather a child, or a young Michael J. Fox) would have to be far greater than something that size could support without being connected to a massive electrical power source. This technology is what they use for maglev trains ( ). There may well be an answer in the future, but when the film was created (and even today) nothing like this exists on the consumer market.

On a lighter note, here's an ACTUAL replica of the film's Hoverboard actually hovering with the current technology we posses. It might be able to support a small animal, but not a child, and not without being placed on a special magnetic display stand.

What was the Show "Dead like me" cancelled?
and what happened the the cast?

    • ANSWER:
Bryan Fuller, the creator of the show, left early in the first season due to conflicts with MGM Television, including disagreement over major script and storyline cuts considered important to the main theme.
According to Fuller, Showtime canceled the show due to "a loss of quality and a sense the problems would continue."

Showtime, however, claimed that the ratings were not high enough for a third season. Contradicting the executives statements that the show had ratings three times Showtime's primetime average.

You can read his interview here:

When does narnia the silver chair come out?
    Question says it all

    • ANSWER:
      From Wikipedia:

Although they originally produced the films in the same order as the book series' original publication, 20th Century Fox, Walden Media, and the C.S Lewis Estate selected The Magician's Nephew, which recounts the creation of Narnia, to be the basis for the fourth movie, instead of The Silver Chair. Shortly before Perry Moore's death in February 2011, he told his family that he had secured funding for such a film. In March 2011, Walden Media confirmed that they intended The Magician's Nephew to be next in the series, but stressed that it was not yet in development.

In October 2011, Douglas Gresham stated that Walden Media's contract with the C. S. Lewis estate had expired, with Walden Media no longer having exclusive purchasing rights to any further Narnia films. Thus any production of a future film is on hold indefinitely.

It was originally assumed that 2014 would be the earliest that production on another Narnia film could begin, according to the moratorium placed on the C. S. Lewis estate's right to sell the books' film option. However, in May 2012, Gresham confirmed that technically any studio still has the option of making a Narnia film during the moratorium, but without the involvement of Walden Studios it cannot be released until 2018 at the earliest (the actual end year of the moratorium). Gresham also hinted that Walden Media's lapse in renegotiating their contract with the C. S. Lewis estate was due to internal conflicts between both companies about the direction of future films. Contrary to Walden Media's initial plan, Gresham stated that he plans for The Silver Chair to be the next film to be made, hinting that future films might be made independently.

Is it now illegal to download files in Japan?

    • ANSWER:
What do you mean with "download files" !?!?!?

You have to download this web page and all associated media in order to view them in your browser.

Downloading files can't be illegal because there are files you can legally view and download:

      1. Creators can choose to release files to the public domain or with a license that allows free sharing of the work (usually forbidding commercial distribution).

      2. Copyright doesn't last forever. In Japan, works published or created before 1953 are now in the public domain. For works released before and in 1970, copyright extends to 38 years after the author's death. Works published or created after 2004 enjoy a 70 years copyright protection.

      3. There are some exceptions. Read about them there:

What's illegal? Copyright infringement. Piracy. Illegal distribution of copyrighted works, including music, movies, animation, books and other things you don't own. That's illegal in Japan and elsewhere.

Edit: The new law ( effective since October 1, 2012 ) says that Japanese internet users who ILLEGALLY download files face a 2-year prison sentence or a fine of up to 2 million yen (,700).

This is not a change in what's illegal and what's not. It's a change in the penalties that illegal downloaders will face from now on. Before this law was passed, only illegal uploaders faced criminal penalties. Now illegal downloaders are also punished as criminals.

Are they really rebooting the Spider-Man movie franchise?

    • ANSWER:
      Apparently so...

      Spider-Man 4 (cancelled)
In 2007, Spider-Man 4 entered development, with Raimi attached to direct and Maguire, Dunst and other cast members set to reprise their roles. Both a fourth and a fifth movie were planned, and at one time the idea of shooting the two sequels concurrently was under consideration. However, Raimi stated in March 2009 that only the fourth film was currently in development and that if there were fifth and sixth films, the two films would actually be a continuation of each other.[29][30][31][32] James Vanderbilt was hired in October 2007 to pen the screenplay, after initial reports in early 2007 that Sony Pictures was in contact with David Koepp, who wrote the first Spider-Man film.[33][34] The script was subsequently rewritten by Pulitzer-winning playwright David Lindsay-Abaire, and rewritten again by Gary Ross in October 2009.[35] Sony also engaged Vanderbilt to write scripts for Spider-Man 5 and Spider-Man 6.[34]

In 2007, Raimi expressed interest in portraying the transformation of Dr. Curt Connors into his villainous alter-ego, the Lizard; the character's actor Dylan Baker and producer Grant Curtis have also been enthusiastic about the idea.[36][37][38] It was reported in December 2009 that John Malkovich was in negotiations to play Vulture, and that Anne Hathaway would play Felicia Hardy, though she would not have transformed into the Black Cat, as in the comics. Instead, Raimi's Felicia was expected to become a brand-new superpowered figure called the Vulturess.[39]

Sony Pictures announced in January 2010 that plans for Spider-Man 4 had been cancelled due to Raimi's withdrawal from the project. Raimi reportedly ended his participation due to doubt that he could meet the planned May 2011 release date while upholding the film creatively.[40]

      [Future plans
      Spider-Man reboot (2012)
Simultaneous with the cancellation of Spider-Man 4, Sony announced that the franchise would be rebooted with a new director and new cast. The reboot film is scheduled to be released in summer 2012 and will focus on Peter Parker developing his abilities in high school.[40] Sony also confirmed that James Vanderbilt will write the script for the new film and Marc Webb will direct the next Spider-Man film.[41] Entertainment Weekly called Vanderbilt's script "gritty, contemporary" and referenced Batman Begins, Christopher Nolan's reboot of the Batman film series, which also reinvented the tone of the series.[42] In February 2010, Sony announced the film will be released on July 3, 2012 in 3-D.[43] In April 2010, it was reported that long time rumored Logan Lerman had been cast for the role of Spider-Man/Peter Parker, but Sony quickly denied this claim.[44][45] Alvin Sargent has been hired to re-write the script.[46]

It seems to be a little too soon...good grief...

Rebuild of Evangelion... when the hell is the third (and fourth) movie coming out?
it's been like two years, and i don't even see a release year on wikipedia... does anyone have any idea of a general time when it even *might* be coming out?

    • ANSWER:
Judging by the past release dates of the previous 2, your best bet is late 2011/early 2012. Even then however, you'll have to wait a long while before you can actually get it, You Can (Not) Advance took a while YEAR before they released it on Blu-ray and DVD.

Is Saw VIII seriously going to be made?
I never believed they were going to end this sh*tty franchise in the first place, but now all kinds of people are saying the studio announced that since Saw 3D was such a success, an eighth film will be made and released in 2012. People are saying it says this on Wikipedia, though I can't find where it says that.

Bottom line, is this true? I kind of believe it is. Like they were ever going to stop making those movies. -_-
I know Saw 3D is /supposed/ to be the last, I just find it weird that so many people are talking about a Saw VIII now. :/
@Katie(: - I personally didn't like it at all. But that's probably because I only really enjoyed the first three. If you liked the ones after that then sure, you might like it. It's just personal opinion is all. :)

    • ANSWER:
SAW 3D is NOT the last. Stop pulling sh!t out of your a$$, we all know they said that for an increase in tickets. The story did not end. It made money. They are easy to make. 'Nuff said.

Is there going to be a 'The Hobbit' Movie?
I am SO obsessed with Lord Of The Rings, and I would love to see another movie. I've heard rumors they are making 'The Hobbit' movie, is this true?

    • ANSWER:
Yup. The films will be directed by Guillermo del Toro, with The Lord of the Rings film trilogy director Peter Jackson serving as executive producer and co-writer. Originally, the first film would have adapted The Hobbit and the second would have bridged the gap between this and The Lord of the Rings, but it is now the director's intention to split and extend The Hobbit over the two films to bring the story right up the beginning of The Lord of the Rings.

The first one is being released in December of 2011 and the second in December of 2012.

Is there going to be a new batman movie?
Just wondering because I just finished watching The Dark Knight lol

    • ANSWER:
Which world do you live in.

The Dark Knight Rises has two trailers (one teaser and another full length) and a six minutes prologue. : - - Teaser - Full length Trailer/Teaser 2

      Find the prologue yourself.

It won the Award for the most Anticipated Movie of 2012. It will be released on July 20. : -

Here is the storyline of the movie (as far as I know) : - 8 years have passed from the events of Dark Knight. Harvey Dent continues to have his prestige still. Batman is feared by all because he took the killings done by Harvey Dent on his name (in Dark Knight's climax).

Bruce Wayne's mansion is now completed (which was burned by Rhas Al Ghul in Batman Begins - if you've watched).

Everything is coming in pace with the Gotham city just like Bruce Wayne and his father had dreamed) and peace is running, then suddenly a new barrier comes to tackle Batman and the Gotham city.

This Terror's name is "Bane" (more deadly physically then psychological Joker and more stronger then Batman). Batman also faces another foe - Catwoman.

There is a Buzz that Bane will Kill Batman in this movie.

So now you know there is a Batman movie in July. Don't miss it.

what is the movie Dungeons and Dragons: The Book of Vile Darkness?

    • ANSWER:
Dungeons & Dragons: The Book of Vile Darkness is the third film in the series based on the role-playing game series Dungeons & Dragons. Like the previous film, Dungeons & Dragons: Wrath of the Dragon God, it was directed by Gerry Lively. Shot in Bulgaria in 2011, it was Direct-to-DVD released in the United Kingdom on August 9, 2012

Two thousand years ago, Nhagruul the Foul, a sorcerer who reveled in corrupting the innocent and the spread of despair, neared the end of his mortal days and was dismayed. Consumed by hatred for the living, Nhagruul sold his soul to the demon Lords of the abyss so that his malign spirit would survive. In an excruciating ritual, Nhagrulls skin was flayed into pages, his bones hammered into a cover, and his diseased blood became the ink to pen a book most vile. All those exposed to the book were driven to madness or so corrupted by the wicked knowledge contained within that they had no choice but to turn evil. Misery and bloodshed followed the disciples of Nhagruul as they spread their Masters dark dream. Creatures vile and depraved rose from every pit and unclean barrow to partake in the fever of destruction. The cities and kingdoms of Karkoth were consumed by this plague of evil until an order of warriors arose from the ashes. The Knights of the New Sun swore an oath to resurrect hope in the land. The purity of their hearts was so great that Pelor, the God of Light, gave the Knights powerful amulets with which to channel his power. Transcendent with divine might, the Knights of the New Sun pierced the shadow that had darkened the land for twelve hundred years and cast it asunder. But not all were awed by their glory. The disciples of Nhagruul disassembled the book and bribed three greedy souls to hide the pieces until they could be retrieved. The ink was discovered and destroyed but, despite years of searching, the cover and pages were never found. Peace ruled the land for centuries and the Knights got lost in the light of their own glory. As memory of the awful events faded so did the power of servants of Pelor. They unwittingly abandoned themselves in the incorrect belief that the Book of Vile Darkness could never again be made whole.

What is your opinion on Shapelle Corby's early release?
think only aussies will know what im talking about

    • ANSWER:
I agree with this article(Guilty or not, Corby has paid the price). She was lucky that it did not happen in Malaysia. If somebody put drugs in your luggage, it is very hard to prove your innocence.I will never travel for this reason in some doubtful countries. It remembers me the movie Brokedown Palace (1999) an American film directed by Jonathan Kaplan, and starring Claire Danes and Kate Beckinsale. It deals with two American friends imprisoned in Thailand for drug smuggling.More ........ ----- Schapelle Corby, like it or not, was caught, charged, tried in a court, and convicted pursuant to Indonesian law. Some question the fairness of the judicial process. Others believe that in Indonesian terms the sentence is not manifestly excessive, however that does not mean that it is not harsh for comparable crimes. THE 60 Minutes interview with Schapelle Corby’s sister Mercedes on Sunday night made for interesting viewing.
Schapelle Corby has been thrust back into the news in the past week as Indonesian authorities chose September 20, 2017 as the day she could leave Kerobokan prison.
Even today debate continues about Corby’s guilt or whether the 20-year sentence handed down was appropriate.
But anyone who watched the 60 Minutes interview on Sunday night would surely agree this Australian citizen has suffered long enough.
The Schapelle Corby of today is a very different person to the young woman who entered Kerobokan prison all those years ago.
There are those who subscribe to the theory her mental illness, breakdowns and irrational behaviour is nothing but an act designed to get her free. No one can act that well.
Corby still protests her innocence and the 60 Minutes story hinted at evidence that could prove the theory baggage handlers set her up. The evidence has never been heard. Why is that?
But even if she did break the law, her punishment has now far outweighed this crime.
People have carried out far more serious crimes and not paid anywhere near the price of Corby.
The latest news is that Corby’s lawyers will meet Australian government officials seeking support for her parole bid. Perhaps it’s time our government provided that support. -----------
Schapelle Leigh Corby (born 10 July 1977) is an Australian woman convicted of drug smuggling who is imprisoned in Indonesia.
Corby is serving a 20-year sentence (from which she has received 21 and a half months' remission) for the importation of 4.2 kg (9.3 lb) of cannabis into Bali, Indonesia. She was convicted and sentenced in Bali on 27 May 2005 by the Denpasar (Indonesia) District Court and currently serves her sentence in Kerobokan Prison, Bali. On appeal, her conviction and sentence were confirmed with finality by the Indonesian Supreme Court. Corby petitioned the President of Indonesia for clemency on the grounds of mental illness, and in May 2012, the President granted a five-year sentence reduction.
Corby has maintained from the time of her arrest that the drugs were planted in her body board bag and that she did not know about them. Her trial and conviction were a major focus of attention for the Australian media. Her due release date, with remissions, is currently 20 September 2017.More ............. ---------- Images of Schapelle Corby ------- The Barlow and Chambers execution refers to the hanging in 1986 by Malaysia of two Australian citizens, Kevin John Barlow and Brian Geoffrey Chambers of Perth, Western Australia, for the drug trafficking of 141.9 g of heroin.
The two men became the first Westerners to be executed under Malaysia's new tougher laws for drug offences that prescribe death for anyone convicted of having over 50 grams of heroin.More..............
