Frequently Asked Questions

  1. QUESTION:
What are your fave 2011 or 2012 movie releases?
Am being bed bound post surgery for 6 weeks, need to know what movies are wonderful so I can send my peeps out to find them for me..I have not been to a theater in 10 years...love comedy, romantic comedy, musicals, thrillers, mystery, action movies, not too much on the blood and gore and not at all on dead things and vampires or the occult. Thanks!

    • ANSWER:
      The Avengers
      The Vow
      Moneyball
The Girl with the Dragoon Tattoo
      War Horse
      Warrior
      Crazy, Stupid Love
      Friends with Benefits
      Horrible Bosses

  2. QUESTION:
Why do some big movies wait years before putting their movie in theaters when the movie is already complete?
I mean really, i heard it takes between 3 months for each movie to be completed and about 6 to 9 months for big movies to be completed, yet they won't put it the movie for maybe 2 to 3 years later. Aww, what is up with that? Put it in the big movie theaters when completed. Why the long wait for big movies? Does any notice that and hate that? Why the prolong tease?

    • ANSWER:
Every part of a movie is financed by someone. A huge amount of money goes into making the film and then editing it and promoting it. It took almost 2 years for Cameron to edit AVATAR. Big blockbuster movies take time to be made.
In many instances the director has the final say on which cut will be released. Often times the studios want to see a different ending than the way the director cut the movie. In that case there are law suits between directors and studios which causes the studios to wait even longer-till the lawsuit is settled. With several movies the studios went out of business and no one really knew who owned or would distribute the movie. Sometimes the studios see how bad the movies are when finished and don't want to release them and waste even more money on them. Three recent movies come to mind The Beaver with Mel Gibson and Jodie Foster was made 4 years ago. The studios didn't release it because of all the bad publicity Mel Gibson was getting in his personal life. EAT PRAY LOVE sat unreleased for a long time. Right now there is a movie being released in a few weeks called 'FIREFLIES IN THE GARDEN".It stars Ryan Reynolds and Julia Roberts. It was completed in 2008 but the studios hated it so much they held it back4 years to mid-Novembe 2011.
Studios are also very aware of scheduling. The schedule for 2012 up thru next Christmas 2012 is already figured out. No studio wants to open their big expensive blockbuster on the same weekend some other big major blockbuster is being released by a different studio. Evert studop hopes to have at least 2 weeks where their movie can be no.1. It's all very political and is driven by studio greed.
What would happen if they released 20 movies you really really really wanted to see and they released them all on Thanksgiving day ? How many would you/could you see ? Thats why the studios slowly release their films over a long time period. They want no competition from other good movies. They love to put out the trailers EARLY so people will keep getting more and more excited to see the movie once it is finally released/ Many times a movie trailer will be released 8 months before the movie opens.

  3. QUESTION:
How do you get tickets to go to the red carpet premiere of a movie as a fan?
I don't want any negative comments. I want to go to the last Twilight movies which is called Breaking Dawn next year. I am a huge fan and really want to go the the premiere where they do the red carpet and all the stars show up.

How do I come about this? I want to start planning now if I have too.

    Thanks!
I am a huge fan of them all so I must go! :)

    • ANSWER:
First, you can't get tickets (to go inside the theatre), but fortunately you don't need tickets to stand outside with the fans and watch the red carpet arrivals.

That is free. All you have to do is show up early and wait.

However, in the case of Twilight, that's more difficult than it sounds. For most premieres, you wait an hour or two. But Twilight fans are crazy, and show up days in advance, literally camping outside the theatre in tents.

So, if you want a good viewing spot for the final premiere, you'll have to do the same thing. Find someone else (some friends, your mother, whatever) who is willing to go through it, show up days in advance at the Nokia Theatre (near downtown L.A.) and be prepared for a very long wait with a lot of other crazy fans.

They will hand out wristbands to those who camp out, so that when it comes time to tear down the tent city (to make way for the actual premiere), you'll be insured a decent spot to watch from.

The exact date of the premiere isn't known yet, but it should be about a week before the movie's release date (which is Nov. 16, 2012). Keep an eye on this Calendar of Events http://seeing-stars.com/Calendar/ for the actual date, when it is announced.

  4. QUESTION:
Who has seen the new movie 2012 that came out today in theathers?
Okay my question to you people is how does the movie end what happen who dies and like good details and best scenes in the movie

I don't care if you ruin the ending I not going to go see that movie anyways for personal reasons.

    • ANSWER:
Well, the boyfriend/character of Amanda Peet dies but she and the kids and John Cusack's character survive. Danny Glover (president) and Woody Harrelson's characters die.

In the end it's kinda like a Noah's Ark kind of theme. There were these huge ships that were built and a bunch of people make it on but one of the planks doesn't shut and when the tsunamis hit it knocks an ark loose which almost crashes into a mountain. I think those end scenes were probably the better ones but there was still lots of action and destruction. I liked it but I doubt it will sit on top of the box office for more than a week with a new Twilight movie being released next week.

  5. QUESTION:
What movies and songs remind you of summer?
I was watching "Across the Universe" and "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" for like the 84th time already. And I suddenly remembered the first time I watched both movies. It was sometime around mid-July of 2008. It reminded me of the warm and long summer nights.

Now that summer is around the corner for most; what movies and songs remind you of summer?

    BQ's
Do you get a feeling of excitement when summer is approaching by?
What is it about summer that makes it so wonderful to you?

    Have a lovely day!

    • ANSWER:
This song started to play in my mind when I read your question:

It makes me playback happy childhood memories of running around a playground on the beach with fuchsia-stained lips from a raspberry snow cone. I misheard the lyrics for years and only realized that it's not a sunny song about love when I read them now. I also remember theatrically singing "Wannabe" with my friends on that beach, and getting wildly excited when a passerby said "watch out Spice Girls." Haha. I'll always have a little love in my heart for Britney Spears for all the fun memories her music provided us with in the early 2000s. My mom banned me from singing "Oops! I Did it Again" after I came home from listening to it at a day camp for Daisy Girls (younger Girl Scouts) and belted it out on an unintentionally annoying nonstop loop.

I was a competitive dancer from the age of six until just recently, and every summer we'd have dance camp and compete in Vegas at nationals. A lot of my music memories are attached to the dances we performed, like "Crazy," " "Hollywood," and "Free Falling." They all make me feel like it's summertime and I don't have to be at school in the morning. Songs from the "Across the Universe" soundtrack were also incredibly popular. I listened to that soundtrack constantly on my very first iPod.

Other songs that sound like summer to me:
Hollaback Girl ~ Gwen Stefani (I'm now thinking of that video where the whole school dances on the last day)
      Hot in Here ~ Nelly
A Thousand Miles ~ Vanessa Carlton (tennis day camp 03)
      Crazy in Love ~ Beyonce
Rebellion (Lies) ~ Arcade Fire - I fell in love with them the summer of 07
Fidelity ~ Regina Spektor - Another love from 07.
Silver Lining ~ Rilo Kiley. It's just a jaunty melody that sounds like the breezy, carefree days of summer to me
Relax, Take it Easy ~ Mika. This was like my theme song of 08
      I'm Yours ~ Jason Mraz, summer 09
Dog Days Are Over ~ Florence & the Machine ~ summer of 10
I was obsessed with Mumford & Son all last summer

      Movies:
      Shrek!!!
      Mamma Mia
The Parent Trap - I remember seeing this when I was so young, and loving it
      Adventureland
      500 Days of Summer

      BQ
I do get excited when summer is approaching! I have a ways to go until summer 2012 because we haven't even started the spring quarter yet. I love the liberty of summer. Even though I've stayed busy for most of June through September in recent years, I still carry the spirit of summer with me. I remember the delight of "school nights" suddenly being transformed. It felt so freeing to be able to go out with friends during the week and stay up late. I love the longer days and the months of sunshine. I live in a Mediterranean climate, so we rarely see any rain in the summer, and the days remain pleasant. We have a lake house a couple of hours away, and we spend a lot of time there in the summer. It's where I felt most like a kid. I'd swim in the lake, run through the woods, catch and release frogs, and exercise my imagination. I miss those days!!!

Your recollections made me reminisce about the summer of 08. This was shot then, and the song will always remind me of that time. That song was so popular then!!!

Ha, I'm prone to rambling like crazy when it's this hour and I'm scooping out thoughts before sleeping. Sorry it's so long. I hope you have a lovely day, too!!!

      ~ skylark : )

  6. QUESTION:
What movie will be the 2012 Summer Blockbuster?
BQ: What movie will be the 2012 Halloween Blockbuster?
BQ2: What is your favorite movie snack, besides popcorn?

    • ANSWER:
The Dark Knight is the obvious one.

I guess Men In Black III will be a contender because of Will Smith and fans will be anticipating this movie as it's been 9 years since the previous one was released.

BQ Although i'm losing interest in this series after the 4th film,my prediction is Scary Movie 5 will be one of the most popular horror next year as this series seems to get even more popular for some reason. They need to change the killer, change the scenery and actors,do something different with it.
There's a horror movie that i can't think of right now, i think it's a Wes Craven movie although i'm not sure but the movie title has something to do with the week or days.

BQ2 Hotdog and Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream

  7. QUESTION:
What are the odds of electrical issues from the 2012 solar flares?
    Blackouts for days/weeks/months etc?

    • ANSWER:
      Old "News"

The Solar Flare scare has been moved to 2013.

The last time something like this happened was in March 1989 (two solar maximums ago) when the province of Quebec (in Canada) went without power for 9 hours.

Six million people affected, nine hours without power. Total number of deaths = 0.

Solar Flares cannot reach Earth (except, of course, in American movies -- e.g., "Knowing").
Solar flares are caused by strong magnetic fields at the surface of the sun. If, during a large flare, the loops of the local magnetic field are short-circuited, there is an event called "magnetic reconnection". This releases lots of energy.

Sometimes, that much energy sends out lots of material from the Sun's "atmosphere" just above the surface. A Coronal Mass Ejection (CME)

CME are shot out quite often. Most of them miss us, of course. Every once in a while, we are hit and, most of the time, the charged particles will get trapped in our radiation belts (by our own magnetic field) and leak down into our atmosphere, giving us beautiful Northern Lights (or Southern Lights, if you live in the other hemisphere).

Sometimes, the CME will arrive with too much energy and push our magnetosphere a bit too far. If that happens, the magnetosphere snaps back, causing its own magnetic reconnection. It is this event that causes an electromagnetic pulse that can be picked up by power grids.

The power lines act as antennas and pick up energy from the pulse.

In 1989, very long power lines (1,000 miles) picked up lots of energy and this pulse of power was interpreted, by the computers controlling the power distribution, as a major problem (e.g., lines fallen into a lake), so the computer shut down the power.

When the rest of the system tried to pick up the slack, a cascade failure occurred.

Quebec's distribution system has since been protected against these problems. When the man-made Northeast Blackout of 2003 occurred, the domino effect caused a power failure everywhere in the Northeast corner of North America EXCEPT in Quebec which had installed the protection.

Since then, most civilized countries have protected their power distribution system against this kind of problem.

We could hope that the USA have done the same, but, in light of the 2003 blackout...

In any event, the 2013 solar max is expected to be weaker than average.

  8. QUESTION:
Why is the movie, Branded, only showing in select theaters in the country?
The movie release date was September 7, 2012 but its not showing ANYWHERE near north florida.

    • ANSWER:
It is very simple. Movie theaters have to lease the films they show from the studios or distributor. They way it generally works is that for the first week of a film 70-80 percent of the ticket sale goes to the studio or distributor with which leaves 30-20 percent of the ticket sale for the theater.

Obviously a theater will go broke if they only sold tickets thus their real money is in selling concessions.

After the first week the percentages begin to even out to say 2nd week it becomes 60-40 split on ticket sales and 3rd week 50-50.

So how does this cause movies to be in limited release? Simply because 99% of theaters will loss money by simply showing it.

If a movie is not a big blockbuster it generally will not bring a lot of people so low concession sales thus theater losses money.

If a movie is not a big blockbuster it won't have staying power so it won't stick around long enough for the percentages to equalize thus theater losses money.

Studies have shown that audiences that see smaller interdependent films, avant-garde films, obscure films, foreign films tend to spend less on concessions so even if you do get a lot of people showing up concessions sales are likely to be low thus the theater losses money. Think about it is a theater going to sell more soda, popcorn and junk food to a couple of film hipsters or a family going to see "Finding Nemo" in 3-D? Luckily in some larger markets such as New York, Chicago, or LA you can have art house theaters that can show something like "Branded" and actually make money but the fact is that, like I stated, 99% of theaters simply look at the math and it does not favor independent films. Obviously the theaters in your area believe they know what best will attract an audience and "Branded" ain't it.

      However...
Every now and then a film such as "The Artist" for example will make such a hit in the art-house world that mainstream chain theaters will pick them up. But for that to happen a film like "Branded" will need a ton of good press and have a real "buzz" about it.

  12. QUESTION:
When are movie tickets for premieres usually sold?
I can't tell you how much I want to see the premiere (not the special, high-end premieres, but you know like midnight showings at a local theater) of Titanic 3D. It's coming out on April 6, 2012, so when will the tickets start being sold?

    (I use Fandango.)

    • ANSWER:
It varies by movie, but usually not more than a month before the release date. In the case of Titanic 3D, I wouldn't expect tickets to be on sale any earlier than about 2 weeks ahead of time.

If your local theatre has a mailing list or Facebook page, I would recommend subscribing as a way to keep up on these things.

    • ANSWER:

  18. QUESTION:
Is there an estimated time as to when the Ao no Exorcist movie will come out?
I heard it's coming out in 2012, but is there a more specific date, like a month or something?
Okay, so will the DVD/Blu-ray have subtitles?
Okay, I really only need subtitles since I do not know Japanese. I hope it'll be fansubbed soon after, though. Thanks! :)

    • ANSWER:
As far as I know, even the month of release hasn't been announced yet. There's really no info out there yet, other than the fact that a movie is being made. And of course even after it does premier in Japanese theaters, it'll be 6+ months before it's available to watch for anyone who can't see it in Japan. It won't end up online until the Japanese DVD/Blu-ray release, so it's possible that those outside of Japan might be waiting until sometime in 2013 to see it.

ADD: That's pretty unlikely. Very few anime DVDs from Japan have English subtitles. I can't say "no, it definitely won't" since there is absolutely no information available regarding the DVD/Blu-ray release of this movie at this point, and who knows, they might surprise us and decide to subtitle it, but the chances are honestly really, really, really low. It will almost certainly be fansubbed and available online within a few weeks of the DVD/Blu-ray release, though.

  21. QUESTION:
Where can you find the original version of A Serbian Film?
The full 104 min version,I mean I've seen many versions of it which claim to be uncut, but they are not, they still have things cut out here and there.Last week,I saw the uncut version on Amazon and bought it,but when I watched it,the horrific baby scene(people who watched it you know what I'm talking about) was totally cut out from the film leaving a runtime of about 102 mins.Anyone knows?

    • ANSWER:
I bought a used uncut copy from Amazon.Com.about a year ago I'm in California and the seller was in Germany. I watched it twice.
Then I tried to re-sell it on eBay and Amazon. Neither company accept the listing. They said you can't sell or re-sell movies showing children or incest. My movie has the baby being born scene. It's VERY graphic.
MY DVD is 98 minutes long. Others that I have seen for sale have 4 minutes cut out and are 94 minutes long. I've read of a 102 minute version but can find no proof that it actually exists anywhere.

They did release an R rated version last fall. Who would want to see that ? I had heard the unrated/uncut version would go on sale in May 2012 but haven't seen it anywhere. My guess is it depends on what the rules are where you live.
It is certainly UNAVAILABLE in the USA. Amazon no longer lists an unrated, directors cut at all.
      Good luck.

  22. QUESTION:
Are you pleased about Breaking Dawn being split into two movies?
Twihards to answer only, please. Thank you!

    • ANSWER:
I guess it doesn't really matter to me.
The only reason I'd be upset is if the first part is released in, I don't know, lets say the end of 2011, then the second one isn't released until 2012.
I think if they're gonna separate them, they should show them back to back, like a double feature.
That's what I think they should do with all the movies, like I think a week before Eclipse comes out, theaters should start playing Twilight and New Moon for those who want to see it again, and those who need their memory refreshed.
      But that's just me.
      :)

  23. QUESTION:

These are the signs and wonders that God worked concerning Egypt in Prophecy regarding the times of the decisions as such where there are 10 plagues each week which is to say 7 years and in multiples is 7 Millennium periods as Genesis tells us.

This is the Prophetic calender given to Moses regarding the times and seasons of the celestial events and the Feasts of celebration of God were given.

This is as the beginning nations with Mesopotamia. 7000 bc + 2000 ad

      7 + 2 = 9

      1 Millennium more = 10

The Lord shows His Mighty Hand in Prophecy and Prayer as Testimony to all nations with Vassal relations with Egyptian rulerships.

      40 years X 10 = 400 + 9 (10) = 490 = 70 X 7

      490 X 4 = 1960 + 50 + 2 (Elijah fire from Heaven) = 2012...

A certain movie was done regarding someone who escaped the 'witch' sacrifice as a young girl and whom was appointed to be given the plagues for the Judgment decisions in a certain region...

  25. QUESTION:
when will the complete smallville series be available to buy as a whole?
like the ones they come out with when a series ends that comes in a special box. i know on season 10 is available in preorder. Does anyone know how long it takes for these kinds of sets to come out. i've been saving for two years to get my husband the entire collection, hopefully for christmas 2010

    • ANSWER:
typically the individual seasons come out on DVD a week/month before the next season starts to air

with this being the last, I think the season 10 stand alone should hit shelves by June/July -- a full 10 season Box set with all 220 ish episodes is more likely to be a Christmas release or even be a 2012 thing...

a Major X factor with something like Smallville is the greater Superman Marketing machine and with the Snyder/Cavill Movie in the pipes... they might sit on the Full series until that is ready for theatres... plus there is all of the DCU direct to DVD animated Films... if one of them is 'Epic' Enough it could generate it's own 'promotional gravity'

  27. QUESTION:
Is The Master getting a wide release?
This is my most anticipated film of 2012 but it's not playing anywhere near me. I thought it had a limited release in September but would later see a wide release. Now I can't find out anything about a wide release.

    Any info?

    • ANSWER:
The limited release was 4 theaters.....and then it expanded to 788 and now its up to 864. So its going up every week.......but its still far below the average release of most movies. Hope it gets to you soon.

  28. QUESTION:
Will the movie Dark Blood with River Phoenix be released in the U.S?
River Phoenix's last movie Dark Blood was released in the Netherlands a month ago, and I was wondering if it was going to be released in the U.S (Los Angeles to be specific) because I would like to go see it. Thanks!

    • ANSWER:
Actually, George Sluizer and his team are working something out with lawyers. The movie will be show at a few festivals here in America, and hopefully soon, the movie will get a theatrical release.

This is an email I got from them:

      Dear supporters of DARK BLOOD,

First of all, apologies for this long delay in giving you an update.
The screening on the Dutch Film Festival was a great success we had a lot of good press.

Actually Sluizer Films and a lawyer are working hard on solving the juridical part concerning
the world wide distribution rights of DARK BLOOD.

We completed making the limited edition of the DVD’s, the postcards and spent time cutting frames of River
out of the positive on an old Steinbeck edit table and prepared all the rewards ready to go.
So this is all good news.

But the lesser news is that during the last few weeks, we've also been busy applying to an international A list film festival.
One of the strict conditions of this A Festival is NO Dvd distribution ( not even a limited edition )
before the film is definitively accepted in the festivals program.
We did not know about this strict condition otherwise we would have mentioned this of course much earlier to you all.
Around half December we will know if DARK BLOOD will be accepted so we keep our fingers crossed.

Concretely it means we can not send the rewards which include a limited Dvd edition of DARK BLOOD before December 15th.
We apologize for the delay but we hope you understand this complex situation which is so important for more exposure of
the film DARK BLOOD and of course a possible distribution on a longer term.

Therefore we ask you to have a little bit more patience and confirm you by this mail
you will be receiving the rewards on your doorstep for X-mas 2012.

Thank you 1000 times for your support and for your patience.

      With all best regards,
      Sluizer Films
      Anouk Sluizer

  29. QUESTION:
Is it true that 'Titanic' will be re-released in 3D format in 2011 or 2012?
I've been on Youtube, and there are plenty of stories going around that 'Titanic' will be re-released in 3D in 2011 or 2012. Is this true? I mean, has James Cameron himself confirmed this news? Or are these just rumors going about all over the Internet? If it is true, could you guys please provide me with a web-link or news item confirming the same?

    • ANSWER:
It was mentioned in the last (or next to last) issue of "Entertainment Weekly" that the technology is now available where they can go back and make ANY movie into a 3D movie. "Titanic" is one of the movies mentioned that may be done in 3D format.

The article started off with mentioning how there will be over 20 movies in 2010 alone that will be in 3D. Warner Brothers is in the process of making the last "Harry Potter" movies into 3D movies because it only takes meer weeks to change from 2D to 3D. Granted, it will NOT be the high quality 3D that James Cameron used for "Avatar". It's another way for the big movie makers to make some more money.

  30. QUESTION:
Is it possible for a solar flare (or a coronal mass ejection) to be the end all be all to Earth on dec 21st?
You know, practically, most of the scenarios are not likely for various reasons. There are a few however that are entirely possible (I think) like solar flares, and meteors/comets.. things you would not be able to spot, even at great magnitude, until only a mere few days in advance. The earth has been hit by massive solar flares, but it is entirely possible for the earth to be hit by one that wipes everything off (remember that movie 'Knowing'? Kinda like that) I guess, I am just wondering if that is possible in two weeks, or a meteor/comet.

    • ANSWER:
      No.

Unfortunately hoaxes are a part of human life. None of the 2012 hoaxes have any credibility. This includes the solar flare hoax.

Hoaxes are profitable. This one was cashed in on by Patrick Geryl. He used inverse mathematics to reach the conclusion that this solar maximum would release major solar flares and reverse the magnetic field of Earth. His mathematics were never accepted by NASA or mainstream science. Yet, as always, his books sold. He not only sold books but retired to South Africa with the profits to build a compound where you too can buy a plot for ,000.

All indications are that this solar maximum will continue to be a mild one. Solar flares stem from magnetic activity on the Sun which results in sunspots and coronal mass ejections. These solar flares can never be predicted more than 18 hours in advance. Anyone who is predicting a solar flare for December 21 is either fooling you for laughs or profit or simply has mental health issues.

Of all the things which can harm you in life, worry about solar flares would be a complete waste of energy.

Regarding meteors or comets: Meteoroids are smaller than asteroids. The vast majority are the size of grains of sand. Thousands enter Earth's atmosphere every day. As they burn up in the atmosphere they produce a flash of light called a meteor. If any are large enough to land upon the Earth they are called meteorites. 90% of all asteroids have been mapped. On very seldom occasions an unknown asteroid will avoid the detection of several organizations and private citizens keeping close eyes on the sky for such things and pass by the Earth. However there is nothing to suggest that there is anything special about December 21 2012 which would indicate that it will be anything other than an ordinary day. Comets come from beyond Pluto and therefore have long-term orbital periods. Halley's comet for example is known as a short-term period comet and it is only seen every 75 years or so. It's quite impossible for a comet to suddenly appear out of nowhere and of course none are scheduled for December 21.

Keeping in mind that movies are for entertainment purposes only, there are far more realistic dangers in nature such as earthquakes and hurricanes and even lightning than wasting time contemplating the odds of every hoax presented by the nutcases.

  31. QUESTION:
A question about movie casting auditions?
Lets say for example that a certain movie is going to be released in 2013, how soon do they begin the casting auditions?

    • ANSWER:
There's a lot of variables in there to give you any kind of accurate time frame for casting. Some depends on the shoot schedule and the post production schedule. Those two variables in terms of length of time for each could depend on the genre of film. For instance if it is a heavy special effects film it may very well take anywhere from 2-3 months to 8 months to shoot and an entire year or more to finish post production. Such was the case for Battleship. It shot in the summer/fall of 2010. It has been in post production all of this year including a few reshoots and additional shots, and won't be released until May 2012. Casting for that film was done in Spring/early summer of 2010.

A small indie film with very few visual effects will not need nearly as much time to shoot or post. However if a film is already giving a date for release in 2013, chances are its a blockbuster film and will be heavy on the effects so the producers are probably already making deals at the top agencies for their star cast and the day player, smaller cast members will be added a few months or weeks before they start shooting.

  34. QUESTION:
what is the cast of Blue Mountain State doing now?
i started watching the show last week and i love it. i heard that they got canceled and i was just wondering if anyone knew how the cast of BMS are doing? like Thad, or alex, or sammy. are they in new movies or just a died down celebrity

    • ANSWER:
Alex - played by Darin Brooks - Just finished filming two movies due for a 2012 release supposedly, the first is called "Bad Girls" and it's a one hour TV movie. Amy Smart and Jaimie Pressley are in it. The other is called "Liars All"

Thad - played by Alan Ritchson - currently filming the Hunger Games: Catching Fire which will come out in 2013.

Sammy - played by Chris Romano - co-produced 4 episodes of "How I Met Your Mother" this year. Appeared in one episode of the show "Sketchy" in 2012, other then that I have no clue what he is doing

Coach Marty McDaniels - played by Ed Marinaro has done no TV or movies since BMS nor is he scheduled on anything upcoming

Coach Jon Jon Hendrix - played by Kwasi Songui has small roles in two movies one in post- production called "White House Down," looks like he will play one of the gate guards at the White House. The other is a TV movie in pre-production called "Nicky Deuce"

  35. QUESTION:
When will breaking dawn stop being in theaters?
I want to watch it but I`m worried it won`t be theaters anymore. Does anyone know when it won`t be in theaters

    • ANSWER:
The DVD is due for release on February the 11th, 2012, so even if you do miss out, you won't have to wait long for the DVD.

Normally these movies are in the theaters for about two months. Since it is such a huge movie, I'm pretty sure it will be in during the new year. Just to be safe, I would go sometime in the next few weeks.

  36. QUESTION:
when is the second book to the host by stephanie meyer coming out?
when is the second book to the host i think its called the soul coming out could you please give me proof not just thoughts> thanks

    • ANSWER:
When The Host was first published in 2008, Stephenie Meyer said she had written the outline of a Host trilogy, with the second book to be called The Soul and the third book to be called The Seeker. Then she got busy with all the Twilight books and movies and stopped writing about anything except Twilight.

Between February and May of 2012 she was very involved in the making of The Host movie while it was being filmed. When filming was done in May she said was looking forward to getting back to writing, and her next book would be The Host sequel. Then last week on July 20th she said she would not be releasing any books "any time soon." I hope was only to keep from being hounded about her writing, and not that she has stopped writing for the present.

What console should I get in 2012?
Should I get 360 or Ps3 or even handhelds like 3DS or Vita? Or maybe save up money for a good custom computer since I know how to assemble it. Oh and I don't want a Wii

Please do state your reason based on present and future games that will be released of your answered console. Thanks

    • ANSWER:
      You should get the 3DS.

Because you can play music (even with the system close).

You can LOWER the VOLUME of 3D so it does NOT give you headaches for the first time in your life (if you're the kind of person to ever get headaches from 3D, otherwise just turn the 3D all the way up).

And you can also turn the 3D OFF Completely.

  40. QUESTION:
Are there any movie theaters in Oklahoma that have 1am (or close to) showings?
My friend doesn't get off work till 1am, 7 days a week :/

    • ANSWER:
Most large movie theaters will have midnight showings of popular movies. Dark Knight Rises (July 20, 2012) is a sequel to The Dark Knight, which holds many records. It had over 3000 midnight screenings on its release nights. This will be a huge event. Many movies have midnight screenings, and although its not 1:00, you said or close to. Find a movie your intrastate that hasn't released yet, and see the midnight screening. That's the best I can do. Good luck.

  41. QUESTION:
When does Harry Potter 6, Twilight 2, and Pirates of the Carribiean 4 come out?
There are my all time favorite series' and I need to know!!!!!

    • ANSWER:
Twilight 2: Release date is not yet known...

In early November 2008, Summit Entertainment announced that they had attained the rights to the remaining books in Stephenie Meyer's Twilight series: New Moon, Eclipse, and Breaking Dawn.[15] On November 22, 2008, one day after the theatrical release of Twilight, Summit Entertainment confirmed that they would begin working on New Moon. "I don't think any other author has had a more positive experience with the makers of her movie adaptation than I have had with Summit Entertainment," said Meyer. "I'm thrilled to have the chance to work with them again on New Moon."[16]
The extraordinary world that Stephenie has created has millions of fans, and it will be my duty to protect on their behalf the characters, themes and story they love. This is not a task to be taken lightly, and I will put every effort into realizing a beautiful film to stand alongside a beautiful book.
—Chris Weitz, director of New Moon[17]

In early December 2008, it was announced that Catherine Hardwicke would not be returning to direct the sequel. Hardwicke cited time restrictions as the reason behind her leaving the project, saying, "I am sorry that due to timing I will not have the opportunity to direct New Moon. Directing Twilight has been one of the great experiences of my life, and I am grateful to the fans for their passionate support of the film. I wish everyone at Summit the best with the sequel—it is a great story."[18] On December 13, 2008, it was announced that Chris Weitz, director and writer of The Golden Compass and co-director of American Pie, was hired to direct New Moon. Regarding being chosen for the project, Weitz said, "I am honored to have been entrusted with shepherding New Moon from the page to the screen."[19]

Filming for New Moon is scheduled to begin on March 23, 2009 in Vancouver,[20][21] to be followed by two weeks of shooting in Italy in May.[22]

  44. QUESTION:
What are possible confounds of Morgan Spurlock's experiment in "Supersize Me"?

    • ANSWER:
Spurlock dined at McDonald's restaurants three times per day, eating every item on the chain's menu. Spurlock consumed an average of 20.92 megajoules or 5,000 kcal (the equivalent of 9.26 Big Macs) per day during the experiment.

As a result, the then-32-year-old Spurlock gained 24½ lbs. (11.1 kg), a 13% body mass increase, a cholesterol level of 230, and experienced mood swings, sexual dysfunction, and fat accumulation in his liver. It took Spurlock fourteen months to lose the weight gained from his experiment using a vegan diet supervised by his future wife, who was a chef specializing in vegan dishes and gourmet.

The reason for Spurlock's investigation was the increasing spread of obesity throughout U.S. society, which the Surgeon General has declared "epidemic," and the corresponding lawsuit brought against McDonald's on behalf of two overweight girls, who, it was alleged, became obese as a result of eating McDonald's food [Pelman v. McDonald's Corp., 237 F. Supp. 2d 512].[3] Spurlock points out that although the lawsuit against McDonald's failed (and subsequently many state legislatures have legislated against product liability actions against producers and distributors of "fast food"), much of the same criticism leveled against the tobacco companies applies to fast food franchises whose product is both physiologically addictive and physically harmful.[4][5]

      Findings
An end text states that it took Spurlock 5 months to lose 20.1 pounds (9 kg) and another 9 months to lose the last 4.5 pounds (2 kg). His girlfriend Alexandra, now his wife, began supervising his recovery with her "detox diet," which became the basis for her book, The Great American Detox Diet.[9]
The movie ends with a rhetorical question, "Who do you want to see go first, you or them?" This is accompanied by a cartoon tombstone, which reads "Ronald McDonald (1954-2012)", which originally appeared in The Economist in an article addressing the ethics of marketing to children.[10]
A short epilogue was added to the film describing McDonald's discontinuation of the Super Size option six weeks after the movie's premiere, as well as its recent emphasis on healthier menu items such as salads, and the release of the new adult Happy Meal. However, the epilogue shows that the salads can contain even more calories than burgers, if the customer adds liberal amounts of cheese and dressing prior to consumption. McDonald's claimed that these changes had nothing to do with the film.
      Reaction
Super Size Me first premiered at the 2004 Sundance Film Festival, where Morgan Spurlock won the Grand Jury Prize for directing the film.[11] The film opened in the U.S. on May 7, 2004, and grossed a total of ,641,054 worldwide, making it the 12th highest-grossing documentary film of all time.[12] It was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Documentary but lost to the film Born into Brothels. Super Size Me received two thumbs up on At the Movies with Ebert and Roeper. The film overall received positive reviews from other critics, as well as movie-goers, and holds a 93% "Certified Fresh" rating on the film review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes.

  45. QUESTION:
Is there going to be a movie for the book the host by Stephanie Meyer?

    • ANSWER:
      Yes, there is.

'Los Angeles, CA, June 27, 2011 — Open Road Films has acquired U.S. distribution rights to "The Host," the big screen adaptation of Twilight series author Stephenie Meyer's best-selling novel. As previously announced, "The Host" will be directed by Andrew Niccol ("Gattaca"), who also wrote the screenplay, and will star Saoirse Ronan ("Hanna," "The Lovely Bones," "Atonement"). Open Road Films has set a March 29, 2013 release date (Easter weekend) for "The Host."

"The Host" producers are Nick Wechsler, Chockstone Pictures' Paula Mae Schwartz and Steve Schwartz, and Stephenie Meyer. Marc Butan, Jim Siebel, and Bill Johnson of Inferno Entertainment, which is handling international sales, are executive producers. Claudia Bluemhuber of Silver Reel, which is providing mezzanine financing, is also an executive producer. Roger Schwartz and Lizzy Bradford are co-producers.

Principal photography is scheduled to being in February 2012 in Louisiana and New Mexico, in anticipation of the wide release on March 29, 2013.

"The Host" is a riveting story about the survival of love and the human spirit in a time of war. Our world has been invaded by an unseen enemy. Humans become hosts for these invaders, their minds taken over while their bodies remain intact. Most of humanity has succumbed.

When Melanie, one of the few remaining "wild" humans, is captured, she is certain it is her end. Wanderer, the invading "soul" who has been given Melanie's body, was warned about the challenges of living inside a human: the overwhelming emotions, the glut of senses, the too-vivid memories. But there was one difficulty Wanderer didn't expect: the former tenant of her body refusing to relinquish possession of her mind.

When outside forces make Wanderer and Melanie unwilling allies, they set off on a dangerous and uncertain search for the man they both love.

The Host, published in 2008, was Stephenie Meyer's highly anticipated follow-up to the wildly popular and acclaimed Twilight series. The book was #1 on The New York Times Bestseller List for 26 weeks. The "Twilight" film franchise, based on Stephenie Meyer's beloved and best-selling novels, has grossed over .4 billion in worldwide box office ticket sales to date.

Regarding Open Road Films, Stephenie Meyer stated, "I'm thrilled to be adding another fantastic partner to an already amazing group. Everyone involved has so much passion for the project. It really is a dream team."

"We are privileged to partner with Stephenie Meyer and the rest of the filmmaking team for the release of 'The Host,'" added Tom Ortenberg, CEO of Open Road Films. "Nick Wechsler is a terrific producer and a long time friend and we are honored to be working with Nick and Stephenie—and the wonderful minds of Steve and Paula Mae Schwartz—to bring this epic story of hope to the big screen."

Producers Nick Wechsler, Steve Schwartz and Paula Mae Schwartz commented, "We are excited about the passion that Tom Ortenberg and Open Road Films has shown for 'The Host,' and we think this is a great opportunity to be partnered with AMC and Regal at the beginning of their new joint venture."

The deal was negotiated on behalf of Open Road Films by Ortenberg, General Counsel and Executive Vice President of Operations and Business Affairs, Elliott Kleinberg, and Senior Vice President of Acquistions Ben Cotner. Rena Ronson of UTA's Independent Film Group and David Fox of Myman Greenspan Fineman Fox Light LLP, along with Philip Strina of Inferno, negotiated on behalf of the filmmakers.'

The Host is the only book I like by Stephenie Meyer :)

  46. QUESTION:
Does anyone know if there is going to be another x files film after i want to believe?

    • ANSWER:
No there won't because the film bombed.

"The film grossed million on its opening day in the United States.[1] It opened fourth on the U.S. weekend box office chart, with a gross of .2 million.[42] As of September 15, 2008, it had grossed ,909,448 domestically[43] and an additional ,600,000 internationally.[44]

The film's stars both claimed that the timing of the movie's release against The Dark Knight negatively affected its box-office return. Duchovny referred to "mitigating circumstances. We happened to open on the worst day in the history of cinema — the second week of [the Batman film The Dark Knight]. The only thing worse would be to open with Batman and nobody would've done that."[45] Anderson believed that "people in the States are so used to lots of CGI, action and sex, and we don't really offer a lot of that in this film."

In several interviews, Chris Carter has said that if I Want to Believe proved successful, a third installment would be made, this time going back to the TV-series' mythology, focusing specifically on the alien invasion and colonization of Earth foretold within the series, due to occur on December 22, 2012.[48][49]

So basically because it wasn't successful, there won't be another one.

  50. QUESTION:
What do you think about the world ending in 2012?

    • ANSWER:
The people who created the Big 2012 Hoax are the same ones who had invented Planet X for the end-of-the-world of May-June 2003.

They made money selling survival kits and books on how to survive. After June 2003, they had to recycle their hoax. They made it much bigger by adding other lies to it (most of which had not been invented for 2012).

For example, the "end" of the Mayan calendar was a lie invented in the 1990s by a dude pretending to be a reincarnated Mayan priest. (as if...)

The Planet-X charlatans are the ones who added the idea that the end of the calendar = the end of the world.

The Mayan calendar does not end. It merely passes a round figure.

The "planetary alignment" doomsday predictions had been made for the alignment of 1999. Apparently, some of us managed to survive.

      and so on.

Every single doomsday "prophesy" for 2012 can be traced back to a recent lie (including the Nostradamus prophesies for 2012, which did not exist before June 2003).

Many of these questions are planted as disguised ads for the movie called "2012" coming out in about 3 weeks. Others are the result of yet more showings of the fake documentary on the Hysteric Channel, who is doing it, of course, for their friends at Sony Pictures (to raise the hype for the movie).

I figure that we will get more and more as the release date for the movie approaches.
