  6. QUESTION:
Are there especially many commonwealth people in Canada?
For those of you that live in Canada, would there be especially many people living in Canada who are from other countries in the Commonwealth of Nations? Like would you have especially many people from nations including the UK, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, India, Pakistan, Kenya, Malaysia, Singapore, Nigeria, Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago, and the Bahamas living in Canada in greater numbers than those from non-commonwealth nations like Mexico, France, China, Japan and Brazil?

    • ANSWER:
Canada is extreme as far as multi-culturalism goes.
We used to be mostly all Brits or Commonwealth, that even being a huge plus in immigration policy - being British or a British subject got you to the front of the line and a quick nod in. As a result Canada's population comprised of British, French and oddly enough after the Revolutionary War ex patriots from the USA. [greater irony was during the War of 1812 the greater majority of York citizens were from the USA, being attacked by the USA lol.

Current day however being a member of the Commonwealth doesn't grant special priviledges - our loyalty is there but everyone should be treated equally. The balance seems if not 50/50 then perhaps 60/40 in the non-commonwealths favor.
I live in Vancouver on the Pacific - there's English and Aussies and the whole Commonwealth represented but there's hundreds and hundreds of foreign students, most from Asia - lots of Germans, Ukrainians, Greeks, you name a country, they're represented I'm sure.

In reply to your edit, other question - if you'll indulge me :)

I don't like speaking negatives about friends, thus any reluctance. As you request an unbiased view I would happily accommodate.
You speak of an increasing violence. Yes seeing someone enter a theatre full of families watching a Batman movie armed bothers is disturbing. Worse is the attack on that Sikh temple - not only because it was an attack at a place of worship [okay don't like the religion but have a higher respect still] but because it was an attempted attack on muslims [they do not all just look the same, surely people know the differences do they not?]. Add onto that the apparent [only] solution thus far is gun sales in Colorado increased by 41%.
Intolerance on so many levels, to that extreme is not the sign of a great society.
Now I can say that - and tomorrow some Canadian freakshow might do some copycat routine. Idiots abound - do you blame random circumstance or is it deeper.
LOL at Canada being socialist due to social programs. I'm not a huge fan of the Cuban embargo either, hard imagining Cuba as much of a 'threat' to the USA in any way shape or form. It's a taboo topic in the USA, for their own reasons.
Do people in the USA seem a bit unknowing of the rest of the world? Get a map out and ask the person next to you to point to Afghanistan or Grenada or Peru... bet if you get one out of three you'll be lucky. [keeping in mind the US was militarily involved in two of the three].
Alot of your concerns raised, do have a validity yes and does seem a world opinion of those looking in from the outside. That said, only because you asked. I like the USA and have all the faith in the world they'll make their home right :)

      EDIT TO ADD:

  11. QUESTION:
WHO CAN WRITE ME ABOUT THE SCOTTISH ISLAND OF BARRA IN SCOTLAND ?
THE ONE WITH THE MOST IMFORMATION WILL GET THE BEST ANSWER!!! :)

    • ANSWER:
Barra is located in Outer Hebrides
Gaelic name About this sound Barraigh, Eilean Bharraigh (help·info)
      Norse name Barr-oy
Meaning of name Barr's island, after St Barr
Area 5,875 hectares (22.7 sq mi)
      Population 1,078
      Main settlement Castlebay
      Island group Uists and Barra

The island of Barra (Scottish Gaelic: Barraigh, Eilean Bharraigh, pronounced [ˈparˠaj, ˈelan ˈvarˠaj]) is a predominantly Gaelic-speaking island, and apart from the adjacent island of Vatersay, to which it is connected by a causeway, is the southernmost inhabited island of the Outer Hebrides (Na h-Eileanan Siar) in Scotland.

      Geography
The 2001 census showed that the resident population was 1,078 (1,172 including Vatersay). The area of Barra is roughly 60 square kilometres (23 sq mi), the main village being Castlebay (Bàgh a' Chaisteil).
The west of the island has white sandy beaches backed by shell-sand, machair and the east has numerous rocky inlets.
Kisimul Castle at Castlebay is located on a rock in the bay, so giving the village its name. A smaller castle can be found in the middle of Loch St Clare on the west side of the Island in Tangasdale.
The highest elevation on the island is Heaval, halfway up which is "Our Lady of the Sea" a prominent white marble statue of the Madonna and Child which was erected in during the [Marian year] of 1956.

Other places of interest on the island include a ruined church and museum at Cille Bharra, a number of Iron Age brochs such as those at Dùn Chuidhir and An Dùn Bàn and a range of other Iron Age and later structures which have recently been excavated and recorded.

Barrafest generally takes place on the last full weekend of July. Barrafest 2012 will take place on Friday 27 July, and Saturday 28 July.
      Media

The 1949 Ealing Studios comedy Whisky Galore! was filmed on Barra. The film is based on the novel Whisky Galore by Sir Compton Mackenzie, itself a fictionalised telling of the story of the SS Politician, which ran aground with a cargo of some 50,000 cases of whisky on board in 1941. Mackenzie, who lived near the airport and died in 1972, is buried in a grave marked by a simple cross at Cille Bharra cemetery, which is situated a little way up the hillside overlooking Eoligarry jetty. The sequel movie Rockets Galore! was also filmed in and around the island.

Barra was also featured on the recent Channel 5 programme "Extraordinary people: The Boy Who Lived Before", where a young boy named Cameron, who lived in Glasgow, had memories of a past life on the island. In early 2011 the island was one of those featured in the new series of An Island Parish.

In 2008 the Barra RNLI Life Boat, Edna Windsor was featured on a series of stamps. The first class stamp shows the 17 metres (56 ft) Severn class lifeboat in action in the Sound of Berneray 20 kilometres (12 mi) south west of Barra in 3.5 metres (11 ft) swell with 30 kilometres per hour (16 kn) of wind.
      Transport
Barra's tiny airport, near Northbay, uses the beach called An Tràigh Mhòr (English: The Big Beach) as a runway. Planes can only land and take off at low tide meaning that the timetable varies. Voted the world's most stunning landing spot, Barra's airport is the only airport in the world to have scheduled flights landing on a beach. The aircraft currently in operation on Barra is the de Havilland Canada DHC-6 Twin Otter, flown by Loganair on services to Glasgow and Benbecula from where connections to Stornoway are also available. There are usually flights every day of the week in the summer. The beach is also a source of cockles.
Ferries to Oban, Lochboisdale, Tiree and Eriskay are run by Caledonian MacBrayne. Castlebay is the main port from which ferries sail to Oban on the Scottish mainland, Tiree and Lochboisdale (Loch Baghasdail) in South Uist. The mainland crossing takes about 5 hours. A vehicular ferry travels between Ardmore (An Àird Mhòr) and Ceann a' Gharaidh in Eriskay (Èirisgeigh). The crossing takes around 40 minutes.
      Industry & tourism
The fish factory, Barratlantic, in Northbay is a major contributor to the island's economy and the Hebridean Toffee Factory in Castlebay is one of the few manufacturers on Barra.
Tourism provides the main income for the majority of islanders, the high season lasting from May to September. Thousands of people visit the island every year, the busiest times being during Fèis Bharraigh & BarraFest in July. Boat trips to the neighbouring island of Mingulay are available during the summer season and island hopping plane trips are also available.

  14. QUESTION:
How can anyone praise Obama's SOTU when it was full of lies?
OBAMA: "After years of grueling recession, our businesses have created over 6 million new jobs."

THE FACTS: That's in the ballpark, as far as it goes. But Obama starts his count not when he took office, but from the point in his first term when job losses were the highest. In doing so, he ignores the 5 million or so jobs that were lost on his watch, up to that point.

Private sector jobs have grown by 6.1 million since February 2010. But since he became president, the gain is a more modest 1.9 million.

And when losses in public sector employment are added to the mix, his overall jobs record is a gain of 1.2 million.

    ___

OBAMA: "We have doubled the distance our cars will go on a gallon of gas."

    THE FACTS: Not so fast.

That's expected to happen in 12 more years.

Under a deal the Obama administration reached with automakers in 2011, vehicles will have a corporate average fuel economy of 54.5 miles per gallon by 2025, twice the 27 miles per gallon, on average, that cars and trucks get today. Automobile manufacturers won't start making changes to achieve the new fuel economy standards until model year 2017. Not all cars will double their gas mileage, since the standard is based on an average of a manufacturers' fleet.

    ___

OBAMA: "Already the Affordable Care Act is helping to reduce the growth of health care costs."

THE FACTS: The jury is still out on whether Obama's health care overhaul will reduce the growth of health care costs. It's true that cost increases have eased, but many experts say that's due to the sluggish economy, not to the health care law, whose main provisions are not yet fully in effect.

    ___

OBAMA: "Real reform means establishing a responsible pathway to earned citizenship — a path that includes passing a background check, paying taxes and a meaningful penalty, learning English and going to the back of the line behind the folks trying to come here legally."

THE FACTS: The seemingly stern admonition that illegal immigrants must go to the back of the line, often heard from the president, doesn't appear to have much practical effect except in the most obvious sense. Everyone who joins a line, whether for a movie, a coffee or citizenship, starts at the back of that particular line. It's not clear he is saying anything more than that illegal immigrants won't get to cut in line for citizenship once they've obtained provisional legal status.

Like those living abroad who have applied to come to the U.S. legally, illegal immigrants who qualify for Obama's proposed path to citizenship will surely face long waits to be processed. But during that time, they are already in the U.S. and will get to stay, work and travel in the country under their new status as provisional immigrants, while those outside the U.S. simply have to wait.

Sending illegal immigrants to the "back of the line" is something of a distinction without a difference for some legal immigrants who dutifully followed all the rules before coming to the United States.

For instance, some legal immigrants who are in the U.S. on an employer-sponsored visa can't easily change jobs, or in some cases take a promotion, without jeopardizing their place in line to get a green card. In other cases, would-be legal immigrants in other countries wait for years to be able to settle in the U.S.

Obama is using "back of the line" somewhat figuratively, because there are multiple lines depending on the applicant's relationship with family already in the U.S. or with an employer. Generally, a foreign-born spouse of a U.S. citizen or someone with needed skills and a job offer will be accepted more quickly than many others.

OBAMA: "Study after study shows that the sooner a child begins learning, the better he or she does down the road. ... And for poor kids who need help the most, this lack of access to preschool education can shadow them for the rest of their lives. ... Every dollar we invest in high-quality early education can save more than later on — by boosting graduation rates, reducing teen pregnancy, even reducing violent crime."
THE FACTS: Dozens of studies have shown Head Start graduates are more likely to complete high school than their at-risk peers who don't participate in the program. But a study last year by the Department of Health and Human Services that found big vocabulary and social development gains for at-risk students in pre-kindergarten programs also found those effects largely faded by the time pupils reached third grade. The report didn't explain why the kids saw a drop-off in performance or predict how they would fare as they aged.
    ___
OBAMA: "I urge this Congress to pursue a bipartisan, market-based solution to climate change, like the one John McCain and Joe Lieberman worked on together a few years ago. But if Congress won't act soon to protect future generations, I will. I will direct my Cabinet to come up with executive actions we can take, now and in the future, to reduce pollution, prepare our communities for the consequences of climate change and speed the transition to more sustainable sources of energy."
THE FACTS: Obama failed to get a global warming bill through Congress when both Houses were controlled by Democrats in 2010. With Republicans in control of the House, the chances of a bill to limit the gases blamed for global warming and to create a market for businesses to trade pollution credits are close to zero. The Obama administration has already acted to control greenhouse gases through existing law. It has boosted fuel-efficiency standards and proposed rules to control heat-trapping emi

well, neither of you 2 first answers, addressed the question. totally dodged it.....
mike: the people who get blocked are just like you -- totally dodge the question. meaningless answer that has no relation to the question in any way, shape or form.
ichte: its not my rant. its what the link says. many people don't have habit of clicking link, that's why i posted what link contained. previously i saw weird answers which proved the link was never clicked. if links are clicked, i wouldn't be doing this.
ichte: you're right. not only are links never clicked but even if the content of link posted, that isn't seen either.....
ichte: don't blame me for block. as i said if question is totally dodged, i am obliged to block. i do have the right to do that

Subbed would be most preferred compared to Dubbed.

    • ANSWER:

The English subtitled version is expected to be released some time around Summer 2012. only way to watch this movie is Japanese version only...wait about 6 more months for the english sub...then wait 2 - 3 more years for the full english version lol.

  18. QUESTION:
when does bleach hell chapter come out eng sub?
also if u have found a working link of full movie eng sub please give it to me
    thanks

    • ANSWER:
Bleach: Hell Chapter has been predicted for English sub release in August of 2011 (8 months!) However, this is more then likely an official release by the company that owns Bleach. An unofficial release will probably be seen anywhere between February and May of 2011. This entirely depends on if an individual sub group is willing to sub it (who wouldn't want to?!) So stay tuned, keep your Goggling skills optimized, Yahoo! updated, and just keep thinking how freaking sweet it's going to be when it is finally out!

  19. QUESTION:
When will the Hetalia movie come out?
Preferably on English Dub, But subbed would be O.k too. I believe the full title is Hetalia: Axis Powers Paint it White

    • ANSWER:
Ginmaku Hetalia Axis Powers: Paint it, White came out June 5, 2010.

Thus far no one has subbed this movie. The DVD will be released in Japan on January 26th, 2011. After the DVD release, chances are someone will rip it and put it on the internet for it to be subbed.

Most likely, the Hetalia movie won't be subbed until next year.
Accordingly, dubs will be released even later than that.

Where can i watch the full movie Detective Conan moive 15 Quarter of Silence?
I want to see this movie so bad but every where i look they only have the trailer. I heard that this movie came out april 5th 2011 and i've been looking every where for it. i know the movie isn't english dubbed but is there a site where i can watch it english sub? Also if there is a site where i can watch this movie pleace list it below! lastly if the full movie is avalible to watch on an online site pleace make sure that its a free site not one of those sites that has a pop up saying you need to download or buy anything first. thanks any information is much appreciated:) ive been looking every where for this movie if you can help then you have my graditude

    • ANSWER:
Nowhere; it isn't available to watch anywhere right now. It did come out in April, but only to Japanese theaters. It won't be available to watch anywhere online until it's released on DVD/Blu-ray in Japan, which usually happens 6-9 months after it opens in theaters. Fansub groups only very, VERY rarely release anything with a camrip source. I can only think of one example over the last several years where that was done. 99% of the time, they wait until they can get a DVD source, and that won't happen until the movie is actually released to DVD in Japan.

AniDB lists 99.9% of fansub releases. Here's the movie's page, with no releases listed yet: http://anidb.net/perl-bin/animedb.pl?show=anime&aid=8121

      No BS just the movie.

Enjoy now if you were Russian you would find this and over 8000 movies for free.
Granted I'm not Russian but my wife is, and turned me on to all these movies streaming while I wasn't in the USA to have something to past my time while here visiting, where i cannot speak russian but the movie is in english don't worry

You may have to let it start and when the time loads in the right bottom corner then push pause and wait like 10mins for it to load up enough to stream clean without stopping to buffer.
Just tons of fun though watching free

I found these links for you personally to answer your question sort of. I don't have anything to do with these movies at all I just know where they are located on the internet.

  26. QUESTION:
NYU Tisch School of the Arts?
    I'm 15 years old. I am European.
NYU Tisch School of the Arts is my dream. How difficult is enter in the Department of Cinema Studies?
I want to become a director and a writer, I'm writing my first screenplay.
I am taking private lessons of English.
I want to know what is the annual installment and what are the aid for foreign students and the possibility of a scholarship and the requirements to enter.
    write in simple English please
    thanks
    sorry for spelling errors

    • ANSWER:
Any of the good film schools in the US are very competitive for admission, below 10%, or even below 5%, and that is often after being admitted to the college first. I recently heard that Tisch film was a 3.4% acceptance rate, that means that about 97% of applicants are rejected.

For NYU Tisch, 9 months of tuition and fees are about ,000, a dorm room and food is about ,000 (could be more depending on dorm and food plan), personal expenses 00 (this is a very low number), books about 00, transportation 0+. The cost of attendance (tuition, fee, room & board, books, personal expenses) is about ,000. Cost of attendance numbers are typically too low, and most students need about 00+ more a school year just to survive.

To get a student visa, you will first need to be accepted to the college, then you need to have the full amount of the cost of attendance in a savings or checking type account, not an investment fund. The official number will be on Tisch forms, but it will be around ,000. The US government goes over the paperwork, contacts the bank, and questions you or the person who owns the money. You will need to pass an interview with the US government. There is basically no financial aid or merit aid through NYU for international undergrad students, very little for grad students (after 4 years of college). For a very competitive program like film, NYU Tisch will want to see that your family or sponsor has the ability to pay for all 4 years, because they don't want anyone to take one of the spaces and not be able to do the whole program. So if your family or sponsor isn't very wealthy, it will be a concern.

The chance that one will ever earn enough to pay rent as a screenwriter or director is about zero. It's very competitive, and typically, if one is a director, even if they get a development deal through being noticed at a film festival, the director must come up with the funds to make the movie, they are not given the money by the production company or studio. This is something to consider before spending a lot on education.

Here is a NY Times article about the reality of film school, For Film Graduates, an Altered Job Picture:

      http://www.nytimes.com/2011/07/05/movies/film-school-graduates-job-prospects-at-usc-nyu-ucla.html

Look for a film school in Europe, the cost will be less. La Femis, Film and TV School of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, National Film and Television School, University of Television and Film of Munich, The Polish National Film, Television, and Theater School, Italian National Film School, are all good film schools, some may be only MFA (grad school level), but Google them to find their websites.

      Good luck!

  28. QUESTION:
    Looking For A Japanese Movie?
I ordered a DVD ages ago called 'Smuggler' which is a Japanese movie filmed in 2011. I also never realised that it didn't come with subtitles.

What in asking is, does anyone know where I can download the movie with English subtitles? The full name of it is Sumagurâ: Omae no mirai o hakobe, but it is also known as Smuggler.

I'm looking for just a download or a torrent and I'm wanting to be able to download it onto my iPod.

    Answers are appreciated! Thank you!
I appreciated the answers, but none of them work unfortunately and my laptop doesn't seem to let me access PirateBay. I've tried that link several times before and it has never let me on it yet. Although I can access all the other PirateBay's but that one.

Out of curiosity, is there any MP4 ones around or even a DVD/Blu Ray version that I can order? I live in the United Kingdom, so I would be in Region 2.

    • ANSWER:
You can download movie from here :

      http://thepiratebay.se/torrent/7832150

      And subtitle from here :

  29. QUESTION:
    Which Full Metal Alchemist?
I have only read the manga and none of the anime. Should i watch the movies, the 2003 Full Metal Alchemist, or the 2009 Full Metal Alchemist first and in which order

    • ANSWER:
Definitely watch the 2003 FMA first. First of all, if your an english dub fan, not all the episodes of FMA:B (2009) are dubbed yet. The plot lines also differ at the story arc greatly, and the ending of FMA 2003 is a lot more disappointing than that of FMA:B 2009. If you ask me, I'd rather finish of FMA on a better note.

      Best order to watch in:

      FMA 2003 (deviates from manga)
FMA: Conquerer of Shamballa (2003 movie. It is the sequel to the 2003 series)
FMA: The Movie (recap of the 2003 series)
      Various FMA OVAs
FMA: Brotherhood 2009 (follows the manga)
FMA 2009 Movie (to be released in Summer 2011)

But of course, that's up to you.

      Good Luck!

  31. QUESTION:
What format should I convert movies to? for PS3?
    PLEASE READ
I have a movie I need to convert for my PS3 (scarface) full 1080p HD it has 12GB and is MKV format, doesn't work on PS3, I want to covert to the best possible quality and I don't care about file size!
The conversion takes a LONG time so I can only do it once, I can't experiment with different formats.
I'm thinking of converting to maybe AVI, it retains that 12GB (not an issue)
or using H.264/MPEG4 AVC HD (it says it's optimized for ps3) but will it provide the best quality and it also shrinks it down to 4.9GB will that have an effect on anything?
I figure the more GB the better the quality? I imagine that's not all that counts.
Maybe someone cant tell me a better option?
    THANK YOU

    • ANSWER:
I would do MPEG-4. I've downloaded and copied many videos onto my PS3. Some were .avi and didn't work, and some did work. I think you'll find this useful. I've got here a bluray rip of the lord fo the rings:return of the king. it's 1920X800 pixles. Check it out. Also.. I haven't tried it myself but i heard that there is a file size limit to FAT32 that the PS3 uses. So if you've got a file bigger than 4.0Gb you NEED to make it smaller.(unless you watch it from a storage device, which you can do.

  32. QUESTION:
how do you be in a commercial movie tv show ex. please help!!!?
can any one tell me how i can start out an actor with some experiences (ive done 6 community shows, many acting classes and camps)to getting to be in a Commercial,tv show movie, i would even be very very exited to just start out as an extra in any film but i don't want to be scammed. And also if you know of any legit websites that can get me a part please let me know...........One more thing, i went on a website that was called 2011 auditions for kids, and submitted some basic information and later that night they called and said they saw my picture and wanted to take me a step further in acting. so they wanted me to go there and have them interview me.....so i don't know if its legit or not

    • ANSWER:
Sorry, but it sounds really dubious. They'll probably try to con you into taking expensive classes or paying for headshots.
Firstly, it’s almost unheard of for anyone to become an actor from being an extra – acting professionals don’t consider them to be ‘real’ actors, you rarely get anywhere near the actors, the directors hardly notice them at all, and when they are looking to cast a role, they choose from the thousands of qualified, professional actors who are put forward for the role by their agents. They just don’t remember someone in a crowd from a show or film they made previously. Realistically speaking, extras are not trained actors. They rarely speak, apart from mumbling to each other, and very little skill is required. A friend of mine regularly works as an extra, he just enjoys it as a hobby – but it pays very little and is definitely not a way into the acting profession.

As for getting some acting work, it's highly unlikely until you've been to a full-time drama course for a couple of years and then gained loads more experience, including short films, which would be unpaid.
It's incredibly competitive, and almost all auditions are only ever sent via agents, so without one you'll just never hear about them.
Virtually every agent only takes experienced actors after they graduate from drama school.

If you are serious about wanting to act, you should read every play you can get hold of, read books, and learn everything you can.
Nothing you are taught at school is a waste of time – you never know what is going to be really useful for you as an actor, and even stuff like history, geography, science, cooking, maths, etc, will probably come in handy when you least expect it. Actors need to be very intelligent, able to understand loads of subjects, well-read, for example able to read Shakespeare and so on. It’s no good reading a script if you can’t understand what your character and the others are talking about!
Work hard at all your school subjects and get as many good grades as you can so you can get onto a high school course in Drama or Performing Arts, with extras like Psychology, English, Sociology, etc.
After that, you’ll be able to apply to get into a drama school, although these are all very hard to get into. Up to 4,000 applicants apply for 24 places, in each school, every year.
You will need to be able to work on stage as well as to camera. Singing is often required, so join a choir or try to afford lessons somehow. Dance is also useful. It’s a good idea to have some other skill which you can use to earn money in between acting jobs – you’ll need it! Typing, bar work, office work, shop work – anything you can do, really, but make sure you quite enjoy it too, as you’ll probably spend more time doing than that acting!
You are looking at years of hard work, very little glamour, terrible rates of pay – if any – doing odd jobs just to pay the bills while you’re auditioning for acting work. It’s not something you should even be considering unless you’re totally passionate about acting and can’t imagine doing anything else. You’ll probably never be famous, or make much money, but if it’s what you really want, go for it. If it’s just a nice idea because it sounds fun and exciting and so on, forget it.

    • ANSWER:
Protagonist/anti-hero: (he would be the sociopathic, manipulative, charming "perfect" guy type.) While, I'm not too crazy about Hayden Christensen, he's the only actor that comes to mind that physically resembles what I have in mind: http://english.galatta.com/entertainment/photogallery/english/clip/star/actors/ct/5/name/Hayden-christensen/cl_file/hayden_christensen005z.html

Mother of the protagonist: (very important character, has a lot of power. She takes having a "dark past" to a new-level. ): http://www.starandstyle.com/nicole-kidman-looks-fascinating-in-dolce-gabbana-at-the-2011-billboard-music-awards.html/nicole-kidman-dolce-gabbana-short-sleeve-sheer-embellished-gown [Nicole Kidman]

Tessa: (Curvy, sexy, kind of like a femme fatale): http://www.voote.com/jsp/WAppServerPage.jsp?TransID=RIMAGE00&VoteID=185&VoteItemID=20 [Michelle Rodriguez]

Daphne: (preferably red-headed. Regal look, snobby) - http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1248393/ [Rachel Hurd-Wood]

  34. QUESTION:
    Region Questions And DVD?
This may sound like a stupid question but I was just wondering if it was possible.

The region codes are something that I understand, but I was curious it know if it is possible to order something to get it delivered even if it doesn't deliver to the region.
Example: a DVD that only delivers to region 3. Can I order it even if I live in region 2?

I'm wanting to order a DVD but unfortunately it only delivers to the Asian countries (Hong Kong, Korea, Thaiwan etc) but I don't live in any of those countries nor even Australia. Above I stated that I live in region 2 - United Kingdom.

I asked in a question before about download links (and all of them refused to work) for a movie called Smuggler (Sumagurâ: Omae no mirai o hakobe) that was filmed in 2011. I had a look on YESAsia and could only find an English subbed version that delivers to the Asian countries. I had ordered Smuggler a few years ago but found out that the version that got sent to me has no subtitles and I only understand very little Japanese. I even checked Ebay, but the one that I found seems to only deliver to Australia.

I did get round to watching the Japanese version, but now I'm wanting to know what the actors/actresses in the movie were actually saying.

    If there isn't any way that I can order it or download it, is there any sites that I can watch it on without having to;
    1. Sign up for anything
    2. Download anything
    3. Fill in those annoying surveys?

I usually download movies using torrents, mediafire or 4shared (sometimes even YouTube if I find the full film) but the answers that I got got me nowhere. Piratebay.se doesn't seem to work with my laptop and all of the other links just stuck the middle finger up at me. I was hoping to download the movie onto my iPod to watch it or heck to even watch it on TV, but so far it's not going well.

  39. QUESTION:
Is this legal and does it promote more illegal immigration?
I just saw this ad under ROOMS & SHARED in the HOUSING category of CRAIGSLIST for SOUTH FLORIDA. I have erased the contact information provided, but anyone can go in to the SOUTH FLORIDA section there and see for themselves.

Aside S. Florida being at its worst concerning all types of fraud and apparently even human trafficking, it has new ways each time to attract illegal immigration. Even on TV we are bombarded with ads supposedly for visas and employer-sponsored individuals which are not supposed to apply for any government benefits and it is the first thing they do once they set foot through Miami International Airport and cannot find a job because there was no job waiting for them at all and of course they know this.

I am not referring to Cuban migrants or immigrants or however you call them, I refer to Argentinians and Venezuelan mostly. And of course those from the Baltic, who I cannot imagine how because they neither know English nor Spanish and are working at fast food restaurants. I know because there are a few in my bldg.

    • ANSWER:
Looks like it promotes Human Trafficking more than anything because it is aimed at "Females", JOB PLACEMENT in Caps does not mean working at WAL MART, and " VISA transfer assistance basically means that any paperwork they may have used to get into S Florida will be taken from them not to get legal status, but so they don't try to leave the country once they realize what kind of "JOB" they will be doing. Sad, but just calling it as I see it.

  40. QUESTION:
Will there be a new Code Geass?
Have you ever had a feeling in your stomach after u had watched a movie/anime/series that u really loved to the end? I do

I really like Code Geass, its my top most fave anime ever! Period!

I hear there will be a new Code Geass season and I read a news about it but it was a last year article and they had promised it will be release Fall 2010 (if Im not mistaken) but now its April 2011...more than 8 months without news about this so called New Season.

I'm longing for a new season...I've watch some good anime and I'm very very very picky about choosing to watch but Code Geass had my attention to the fullest.

Will there be a new season? when? Please give me the link to the news.

I also heard about Code Geass game for PSP and Ps2..but its in japanese..it was release about 2-3 years ago and now it still hasnt got any English version. Are they giving up half-way? Its not fair man.

Please if u can, answer my question completely, but I also welcome other kind of answers

U can also post some interesting facts about this New Season of Code Geass if u have any just to keep my spirit up I guess

I've watched Death Note(since it was similar to CG) but I chose GEASS OVER A NOTE

    • ANSWER:
Code Geass is a really good anime :) I haven't watched past the 6th episodes because I'm waiting to buy it on DVD.

Yes, there will be a new "season" of Code Geass, called Code Geass Gaiden: Bokoku Akitto. However, it will be an OVA, or Original Video Animation, which means it will be going straight to DVD rather then airing on TV. I also don't think it will be centered around Lelouch or any of the other characters from the main series, it seems to only be set in the same universe.

As for the games, they were never brought over here because the anime wasn't popular enought to justify the costs. While there are plenty of 11 year old kids who watch Naruto after school, and are willing to buy the games, the anime is not well known outside of the anime community.

Did you know there are tons of spin-off novels and manga of Code Geass? There's even a manga entirely about Nunnally, Lelouch's sister. It's called Code Geass: Nightmare of Nunnally

  41. QUESTION:
I have a few basic questions on Norway?
I want to move to Norway some time quite soon (maybe even within 2011).
There's a lot of reasons I'm moving there; To get away from my violent life-style in Scotland, to start a proper band, to start a fresh life, and 'coz it looks fun and awesome.
First can someone confirm that it's not as violent (full of neds [chavs] and lowlifes) like the UK? Also, I believe Norway's good for musicians like me because of the amount of awesome bands and movies that come from there, is that true?

I want to move to somewhere not too busy (I guess Oslo's out of the question). I mean somewhere like Alta, with the (stereotypical?) snow and mountains, and friendly/energetic community. Preferably with a lot of late teens/young adults. I'm 16 and I seem to get on mostly with people from 18 to early twenties.
Can someone type up a list of places like that? I like Alta best but that's probably only 'coz I've saw it already in movies, I guess. I've saw Kill Buljo and Død Snø, which are to my knowledge shot in Alta, and I've saw pictures of the place too.

I heard Sweden has problems with Muslim supremacists; Has Norway been affected by this? Have the areas I'm looking at been affected? I'd rather not move to somewhere where I'll get shot for being white or see people get raped.

Also what about the education system? I left school here at 15 and I'm at college now, do they have college in Norway, and will I be able to apply? How's money in Norway too? Are things expensive compared to the UK? I know the currency's something like 1 kroner = 10 pence, but could I, for example, walk into a shop and buy a Coke with spare change I've scraped off my desk, like I can over here?

Last question; I'm learning the language too. I know most people there speak English, but I don't want to have everyone speak a foreign language for me, and I don't want to encounter any problems (e.g. random person who doesn't speak English). Also so I can understand movies and music better. Also 'coz it sounds f*cking awesome. So can anyone give me some free starting points?

Thanks for reading (and hopefully answering) my lengthy list of questions.
Thanks Numbeo; Good thing I don't smoke =D
I take it food and bills are higher too?
I mean John G. I don't know how I managed to call you Numbeo :p
I mean John G. I don't know how I managed to call you Numbeo :p

    • ANSWER:
You're right looking away from Oslo.
You've got Trondheim, which is a beautiful student city that alot of student move to every year. Bodø is located more north (still more south than Alta) and it's a good city to live in too.
Norway have Kindergarten - Elementary and highscool (10 years) and college (Videregående Skole) which can be everything from 2-6 years depending on what you want to specialize in.
The regulars take three years, then further education in other cities.
I chose Media & Communication. 3 years, then more education or a good job somewhere, havvent decided yet. (In my third year now)

You'll have no problem with muslim spremacists, whites getting shot and rape : p

A bottle of coke in norway, about 15 kr, and 2,60 american dollars. And sure, when I was at your age, we'd grab our bikes and head to the city to grab a soda and maybe some candy to eat and just hang out.

We start to learn English in 2. grade in elementary, so I say most of us is completely understandable and vice verca, when it comes to English. I can only speak for myself, English is my best subject in school (got an A, on my final. B- in Norwegian)

Our films are subbed, so then we see a english film, we read the norwegian subtitles at the same time. I dunno if it's weird for other countries, but we are used to it.

If you want to check out two cool norwegian bands, check out "Kaizers Orchestra" and "Timbuktu".

      Good luck!

  42. QUESTION:
Is There a Chance for me becoming a Famous Singer/actress?

It would be the world for me to perform for my fans LOL :) Well thanks for the help love ya :)

    • ANSWER:
If you really want an opinion, you should allow people here to see your youtube video by putting the link here. Also if you want honesty, I'm sure you will hear it from those who comment. Since all of us have seen American Idol, clearly a LOT of people think they can sing who cannot. Maybe you CAN... it's hard to give an honest answer without hearing you sing. Can you tell me/all of us here how to find you in youtube?

Now acting is different, you don't need to know how to sing to be a GREAT actor. Do you have money (or your parents) to pay for acting school? Most "famous" successful actors take drama in school, it's good to start there, the teacher will teach & if you're a good student, you can learn. You don't even have to be particularly great lookig to be a great actor but it helps if you are. The most successful one's are stunning looking, make the most money & get the best parts. SOME are "great" & are because they are spectacular actors like Morgan Freeman. It's his confidence that got him where he is. Also, darling I would spend serious time in school. Actors have to read scripts & speak clearly. Your writing is horrible, most kids write VERY well at age 9. I don't know how old you are? But seeing you not use apostrophes "don't" & very poor grammar....using the wrong words like "weather" when it's "whether" or bad spelling with maby when it's "maybe" seems to indicate your head may be in the clouds daydreaming of an easy life without having to work hard or pay attention. The world is full now of computers & typing, you will need the basic reading & writing skills to get by in life if you really want to be successful. There as SO many spelling errors there are too many to mention. At 13 you should have this mastered by now. My cousin is only 10 & his spelling & grammar are near perfect for such a young kid. (sorry if this hurts your feelings but you asked for an honest opinion) But actors have to READ a LOT of scripts to understand a character & BE that character to play it well. Failing to be well read will limit you not only in life as a whole but in reading & writing, you grasp a better understanding of words & meanings. Trust me, you will need this, I've worked MANY years to see people who have lost the job because they messed up by simply not writing well, speaking well or by failing to understand something that was given to them written in plain English. Leo Dicaprio speaks VERY well & has done difficult movies with difficult story lines. (I cannot emphasize this enough)

If you want to see GREAT talent of a 7 year old singer, put these links in your address bar to see the videos. Now that's great talent at a young age.

      oh funny

Do you have the vibrato in your voice?

      http://www.voiceteacher.com/vibrato.html

You might want to watch a movie "Daniel Deronda" there are two characters each who are singers & one has fair talent & the other has quite a bit more & they each wanted to be famous. It's a good movie with the best of actors (to also see great acting)

Good luck & study in school.

  44. QUESTION:
Can you help me with my summary?
Imagine living with five people you hardly know inside close quarters for nearly a year and a half. There's no fresh air and no sunshine. Food and water are in short supply. You can talk with your family and friends using the Internet. However, there are slowdowns. These are the conditions astronauts would have to deal with if they were to go to Mars. Experts predict such a trip would take 250 days each way. But can human beings handle the stress of such a journey? That's what scientists in Moscow wanted to know. They ran an experiment to find out.

The European Space Agency chose six volunteers to take part in a simulated trip to Mars and back. The experiment was called Mars500. It began in June 2010 and ended in November 2011. For 520 days, the crew members were kept in a group of small, windowless modules. The modules were the size of school buses. Crew members spoke with their families and scientists using the Internet. Scientists slowed and sometimes interrupted Internet messages. This was done to imitate the effects of space travel. The crew showered only once every 10 days or so. That's because astronauts would have to use little water on a real mission. Crew members ate food like that eaten by astronauts in space. During the experiment, they even imitated a landing on the red planet. They journeyed from their tight quarters in heavy space suits. They trudged into a sand-covered room.

In the end, the experiment was a success. The volunteers completed the entire 520-day experiment.

"Now we can go forward and plan to go to Mars," said Romain Charles. Charles is a crew member from France.

After leaving their quarters, the volunteers spoke with reporters. They appeared happy and full of energy. They were glad the experiment was finally over. Russian astronaut Boris Morukov was the mission chief. He said the second half of the mission was the most difficult. He talked about going without daylight and fresh air. He explained that this put crew members under rising stress. Doing the same thing day after day also grew tiresome.

To deal with the tiredness and stress, crew members exercised and read books. They tried to learn other languages. They also watched movies and played computer games. Diego Urbina was a crew member. Urbina said the Internet also helped lower the stress.

However, what helped most, the crew said, was keeping themselves busy with their work. The volunteers ran more than 100 experiments during the pretend flight, which never really left Earth.

"I wanted to take part in an interesting adventure and also do something useful for humankind," said Russian team leader Alexey Sitev. "Now I feel happy that I have succeeded."

The experiment left the crew members dreaming about what they would do after the mission ended.

"I wanted to take my family to the sea, lie down, and watch the waves at my feet," said Sukhrob Kamolov. Kamolov is a Russian crew doctor.

Kamolov also said that the experiment helped him to see things differently. "I realized that time goes fast," he said. "I must spend more time with my family."

please and thank you, english is not my first language and I find a hard time summrzing this

  46. QUESTION:
    I desperately need some advice.?
I’m going through a lot right now and I feel like I’m losing my mind. I have been suffering with a lot of problems in the last four years. My Mom has schizophrenia and I lost two brothers to suicide and I have had a lot of health issues and I have been suffering from depression. I have been struggling with some classes because I could not attend some. I wanted to know if I’m going to be kicked out of college.

It’s been my dream to go to college all my life and I want to succeed in life so that I can overcome adversity. I commute to school and I don’t have a car, so I ride the city bus. I don’t have a job and I’m looking for one so that I can move out of my house and get an apartment and a car. I tried to live on campus, but my adviser said no because it would cost a lot of money and that I need a promissory loan, but the problem is that I have nobody to sign it.

To make matters worse, I want to walk on my university football team, but I have been going through a lot of things that I doubt I’ll ever get to play. I feel like my life is falling apart. I feel like my dream of getting a college degree, becoming a police officer, or playing football is going down the tubes. I doubt that any police department wants to hire me because I have depression. I doubt a lot because I have been very positive for years that I will rise over this adversity in my life, but life keeps getting harder and harder.

Please give me some advice because I really need it. Am I going to get kicked out of college with these grades below? The Fall 2012 grades is my predition on what I’m going to receive. My two incompletes is they were morning classes and I could not attend them due to some personal problems.

    • ANSWER:
I want to start by saying that your post makes me really angry. It is *not fair* that you are having to deal with all of these things. I wish I knew of a way to magically fix a lot of the problems in your life, but I don't. So this post is going to be full of advice.

Have you made arrangements with your professors for those incompletes? Incompletes are for students who complete most of the course and do well, but have some crisis that occurs toward the end of the semester. They need to be negotiated in advance with professors, and if students don't finish them in time, they revert to F's.

If I am reading your transcript correctly, you may already be on academic probation, and you may finish the semester with a cumulative GPA below 2.0 but a semester GPA above 2.0. If I'm right, then depending on the rules of the school, you may or may not be put on academic probation at the end of the semester.

That might not be a very bad thing. It sounds as if you have so much stuff going on that it's really hard for you to succeed right now. It might be better to take some time off from college, get your life more under control, and then go back. But you need to talk to an academic adviser and the financial aid office about your options, ASAP.

If you don't take classes next semester, you should work on (1) getting a job (*please* look into Job Corps as a first step toward a more stable life), (2) finding some kind of counseling to help you deal with the immense amount of stress you are and have been under, and (3) keeping yourself in good physical condition so that you are ready for walk-on tryouts. (If you haven't already, check out the NCAA website and learn about how to maintain your eligibility for football.)

If you are taking classes next semester, you need to work on getting good grades in all of them. It's clear that you have the *capacity* to do well in school, but it's also clear that your high school didn't prepare you well enough and that, again, you are under an immense amount of stress, and those things are affecting your ability to get the job done. I think 99.999% of people would be having a difficult time in your position -- but most people aren't. (Again, it makes me angry that you have to cope with all of this. You deserve better.)

If you get academic suspension, you will probably need to wait a year or more (again, Job Corps would be a positive thing to do during that time), transfer to a community college and then transfer back to a university or to a 4-year college. That could, again, be a good thing. Community colleges cost less than 4-year colleges and universities, they are organized for people with significant off-campus responsibilities, so it would be easier to work and go to classes, and they are more experienced than other public and private non-profit schools at dealing with students whose high schools have not prepared them adequately for college. In addition, you could go part-time which would make it easier to get good grades even with a demanding job. (You should avoid for-profit schools. They can be great for some students, but you're at risk for some of the bad outcomes that many students/graduates have.) Also, some community colleges have football teams, so you could move to attend a school where you have a chance to play.

Yes, all this would slow you down, and that would be incredibly frustrating. But with your goals, it's better to go slowly and do well than to rush and do poorly. (Keep in mind that the police also want candidates with good credit and a work history, so that job is important for more than just being able to move out.)

I sometimes use movies as a way of giving myself a "pep talk" so that I'll keep trying even when things are very hard. If you haven't seen the movie "Rudy" yet, you might want to see whether you can get a copy of the DVD. I don't mean to make light of your difficulties. But the movie is about a young man who wants to play football at Notre Dame and who has to work very hard to achieve that goal.

Again, all of this is *not fair*, and I'm really sorry you are having to deal with it. It's clear that you are an intelligent, hardworking young person and that your life is pretty overwhelming right now, and I hope that you are able to get yourself to a much better place as soon as possible. Good luck.

  49. QUESTION:
Can you fix this text grammar?
My english is poor, and I have to write something on forum, but i want to be correct,no errors...so read the text below and please tell me where did i make errors.

What can I say..my name is Marjan Stefkovski,I'm 17 year old boy,and I come from Macedonia very nice place to live.I'm an police officer student, with a very good marks, next year i will graduate. My hobby is playing chess,I love that game,I'm very good at it,in school no one beats me in chess. When i return from school,I always play some chess online or against my brother. Also I like Paintball,so I often go playing Paintball with my friends,we have a blast of fun,it's really cheap in my city per 1h..We usually go in the summer, when the weather is nice.Regarding video games and movies,I like Open World Games like GTA,so my favourite game will be GTA San Andreas, but of course I love all other GTA series. My favourite movies are: Green Mile,In Hell and Shawshank Redemption,as you see all of these three movies are prison movies.I like them most.I started playing SAMP since 2009,first server I played was an Gang War server,I can't remember name of the server exactly, but I think that server is no longer active. Then later after some time,I've found out that Role Play servers are much more fun and better,so I decided to move onto rp servers,I started playing this server since July 2011,but I can't remember names I used.So I think, that's it my short biography,I hope you gonna like it :)egarding my career.Another thing I may do is being an Bouncer or Bodyguard...I simply love that jobs, but these two jobs are only alternative near being an cop.

    • ANSWER:
Hey, I wrote out the first bit of your biography and switched a few sentences around, so they make a little more sense. The second half is really good in terms of grammar, but again I'll note a few things you could change :)

"What can I say? My name is Marjan Stefkovski, I'm a 17-year-old boy, and I come from Macedonia, which is a very nice place to live. I'm studying to be a police officer and getting very good marks; I'll graduate next year. My favourite hobby is chess, which I play at school, online or against my brother. I love it, and no one can beat me! Also, I like paintballing, so I often go with my friends in the summer when the weather is nice. We have a blast, and it's really cheap in my city, only per hour."

Try replacing the comma in "...move on to rp servers, I started playing" with a full stop to make a new sentence.

At the end: "So that's it, my short biography- I hope you're gonna like it :) Regarding my career, I may also be a bouncer or a bodyguard as an alternative to being in the police force.

      Hope this helps! :)

  50. QUESTION:
What do you guys think about my business complaint letter.?

    March.7, 2011

    Ms. Karalee L. Doris
    Manager of Hollywood Video
    810 Richards St,
    Honolulu, HI 96818

    Dear Ms. Karalee L. Doris,

This letter is to complain about the horrible service that my family experienced at the Hollywood Video. I couldn’t catch the face of the rude man that was working there, but he used some fowl language with my mother and I’m very upset.

I e-mailed the video store last night telling them about the rude employee on March.2, 2011 so somebody could figure out how to resolve this about problem that I had with him. The issue was that my mother who is 65 years old, asked for a movie and the employee responded “It’s not in.” My mother as I said is 65 years old so she has a tendency to forget things. She asked the question several times and supposedly this angered the man resulting in the profanity. The e-mail I sent explained every single detail about what had happened. I haven’t received any messages so I’m assuming the problem still hasn’t been resolved.

I expected much more out of an employee talking to a 65 year old; it’s ridiculous that a grown man can act so vulgar towards a senior. I will never again spend a dime at this video store. Lastly I demand an apology from this man, I’m also telling my friends and family about the incident. I hope the manager will look into firing this guy.

    Sincerely,

    Chad Baker

This is my first business complaint so bare with me lol, it's for an exam I'm taking so just give me some reference. Thanks guys!
Oh I also had this one question where I have to pick a topic and write a paragraph using chronological order here is my paragraph. I choose the topic writing a paper takes patience and time

Writing a paper takes patience and time. The first thing to do when planning a paper is to use a form of prewriting, the forms of prewriting are brainstorming, webbing, free writing, and clustering. Before you start your first draft you need to use a method of planning; when planning, all you do is use whatever method you’re most comfortable with to organize your ideas, and I prefer a web. You’re now writing your first draft, take all of your organized ideas, and start your writing. When you complete your first draft, you need to check your work, this is called proofreading. When proofreading you check for punctuation, spelling errors, and sentence structure and adding new sentences where they’re needed. The final step in presenting a good piece of writing is to revise your rough draft, and move on

    • ANSWER:
I think it was ok but you should revise your punctuation, here is a version which by the way is not mine I just copied it on here and made changes but you could use it as reference.

      Ms. Karalee L. Doris
      Manager of McDonalds
      810 Richards St,
      Honolulu, HI 96818

      Dear Ms. Karalee L. Doris,

This letter is to complain about the rude, and unfriendly service I recently received from McDonalds, and also to aware you that a worker by the name of Susan Hokipoki served me raw chicken nuggets.

I e-mailed the McDonalds Company to tell them about this incident on March.2, 2011 so that I could figure out what to do about this issue that I had with the food services, and the conflict I had with a rude, unfriendly worker. In the e-mail I explained everything that went wrong, and I was very specific about what had happened. I waited one whole week to get an answer, but no one ever responded to my e-mail so that we could resolve any issues or concerns.

I expected much better service then what I was given from your restaurant, and I’m quiet aggravated. It is most likely that I will not be visiting this certain McDonalds ever again. Because I do not want to spend any more time on this problem, I expect to get a full refund, and apology. I will also inform my friends and family about this terrible experience. Hopefully there will be a resolution to all of my issues that I had at McDonalds.

      Sincerely,

      Chad Baker

Now the second one I also pulled off of another user have a look

Writing a paper takes patience and time. When you start thinking about writing first do some kind of prewrite rather it be brainstorming, webbing, freewriting, researching, or journal keeping. After that you need to plan in this step you use a outline or a web to organize your ideas. Next you will be writing your first draft. In order to do this you will need your planed out sheet that was done in the last step. You will take your organized ideas and make them into paragraphs that will form your essay. When done with this you revise and edit, removing sentences you might not need and adding them where needed. The last step in writing is proofreading your draft and fixing misspelled and leaving you with your final draft, in which you can now present.

Keep up the good work dude you will get better, I had trouble with english when I was young but I got better with time. practice makes perfect, good work :)
